  1. 100% Park Hyatt....... executive suite approx $700per night (180 degree views, lounge room, massive tv, in room spa etc... ) ....... you will definately be getting some action that night. Forget about all the planned activities for the night...YOU WILL BE STAYING IN. so you will save in some areas. Trust me when you fork out that much per night you will want to make the most of it. Last Tip : Pay the extra for a late checkout it is worth it.
  2. Experience... 4wd style 10's of 1000's of towing km's in different vehicles with different weighted boats over different terrain. And the big no no ..using tow balls and bars to snatch recover vehicles oooops.. did i admit that. It is not recommended and the manufacturer will not compensate you for any loss but in my experience you should have no problems at all as all these products are over engineered to avoid warranty claims etc.. Obviously you should pre check you tow bar attachments before you leave and ensure that the bolts to the chassis have no play in them. Just keep in mind that what you are asking of the equipment and drive accordingly. Lastly, maybe consider putting your missus up front in the BA with you instead of in the trailer etc...then that weight is not added on to the tow weight
  3. If the trailer has brakes and it is duel axel....you should have no problems at all. Just be gentle with the auto box ie :avoid kickdown
  4. RACEPACE Each time I get a service and or work done it is a 2 hour peasant wagon ( tram train )trip each way..... two hours after dropping it off and then two hours to get back out there when it is ready... ( from Port Melbourne ).... Would not even consider taking it any where else but there.
  5. As everyone else said...import your own or get someone trustworthy to import it for you..... Of the two you flagged I would go the one without the "Nismo dash /Dial update and its associated haircut " THe white dialed one is sure to have more k's on it than shows. I had a company called stateroads check out mine before purchased it. They are not cheap but very very thorough. I passed on the first two cars I looked at based on these reports. The third car was a real peach...and after having had the cars checked I was able to buy with confidence.
  6. Zero tollerence .....is the only way.....it worked in New York it will work here...... the softly softly approach adopted by the police is not working and now Brumby and Overland come out and say the community needs to take a stand...well I am sorry but the community have been complaining to the government about this for three years and they do nothing bring back the old school policing I saykeep it .... very hard but fair. .... BUt in the end it all rests with the courts ..the sentencing is far to lenient....... Just wait and see what happens to the blokes that killed the Canadian in Footscray ( I say killed because IMO even though he died weeks later ..they killed him ) again wait and see what happpens to the blokes that bashed the guy in hungry jacks ....my bet NOTHING ....suspended sentences and community based orders what a F...ing joke...... and the stupid thing is if you drive 5 km overthe limit you are treated worse bythe police than these thugs....... this state is f..ked up. Already from reading the court transcripts I can see the defence ( for the hungry jacks guys ) are already argueing that their client has had a tough childhood and that his father was swept off rocks when he was 9 years old...as if in someway justifying the actions.....this is the type of crap that the court gives heavy weight to and it is bullsh..t. Plenty of people have tough upbringings but they can still decern right from wrong. these thugs ...They are scum .....they are only tough when they have a belly full of booze and their mates around them..... but cut one from the pack and confront them and they go to water f..ing soft c0cks. In the good old days two blokes could have an arguement in a pub or club maybe go outside and sort it out one on one,toe to toe now days all their mates have to join in a grab weapons etc.... there is no honour or toughness in stabbing a bloke or punching a bloke whilst he is being restrained. sorry for the rant..

    Snow Chains

Very very unlikely to need the chains with AWD..... but they go on the front. Been to Baw Baw many times in a 600hp rear wheel drive ute and never had any major ice problems....... The biggest issue I think you will face is... if there is fresh snow...as the snow will build up naturally between the tyre tracks on the road ( 5cm of fresh smow can easiy translate to 15cm + between the wheels as the snow gets forced inboard ) .....and if your front splitter is as low as mine ( stock height 34 GTR ) say hello to .........MR PLOW It will be one exotic snow plough.
  8. I was thinking the same thing...what a dip $hit he rips people off yet leaves his home address. Perhaps an email explaining that " you know where he lives " will help encourage him to co-operate.
  9. That was how I had to do it for my 02 34 ......Key from nissan mo. then to locksmith for the coding etc....... Not a cheap exercise the GTR Key alone from Nissan was over $100 from memory. But still better than not having a spare key

    Spotted Thread

wo hoo spotted ......... although it is an M-Spec
  11. the club could probably do without this one ... drifting on public roads is UNCOOL and part of the reason Skyline drivers get a rep and more police attention and thus more canaries..
  12. Book a private outdoor bath for an hour at the Morninton Peninsula HOt Springs and do what others said to her and then send her in for some mud pack etc... she will be like putty in your hands and ready to go again and again and again.
  13. You are a brave man... I cannot bring myself to do ANYTHING more to mine ( currently cam gears, ecu, zorst all c/o racepace ( with a stock looking twin outlet zorst pipe ). I am stuck between the resale issue and the fun involved in continuing modding Mine is an M-Spec NUr ( I think only 250 made ) in MIllenium Jade...so I feel the predicament.. Would certainly be interested in hearing what you end up doing...keep us all updated and good luck with the decision making.

    R34gtr Exaust

gets my vote as well...... lostsa flow and no canaries
  15. I have a 4 yr Old AKITA ( very similar from the same dog family as the Malamutes and Huski (spitz family) My advice : If you get one - GET TWO as others mentioned they will entertain each other whilst you are at work and if you are feeding and walking one it is no harder to for two. Prepare for the HAIR......... I Vacuum the down stairs carpet DAILY. Hip Displaysia - As another poster (KAZ180) said check the breeder and if possible view the parents get a guarantee in writing. Glaucoma - Malamutes HUskies and Akitas have a much higher rate of Glaucoma than many other breeds...so something else to be vigilant about and if you notice any cloudyness in the eyes get straight to the vet. THere are other auto-immune conditions which can effect these dogs have a look on the internet once you have decided on a breed. Lastly, dont take the whole thing lightly and be prepared to live you life around your dogs for the next 7-12 years ....anyway holidays and weekends away will become far less frequent.......but the rewards far outweigh the hassles...... also with two of those guys in the yard you home security will be second to none.......My guy has full reign of the house the garage and the back yard all day ..for the last two years I have not even closed my backdoor during the day while at work let alone locked it.
  16. What happens when it gets stuck in the tram Tracks ? What is the braking distance like ? RE the CAMO 300 .......and who the FU#& is NIGO ? any why did he do that to that car ? Benz should have flat out said " no way we will not do that "
  17. Well it would be good to know what the percentage split is..... because the number of cops booking and ticketing seem to far outway those that actually give a rats about the REAL criminals...oh thats right we are in Victoria the cops have a vested interest in keeping the REAL crims on the streets.... and If they actually adhere to the split departments and the TMU will not respond to a robbery then we have even bigger problems.......remember we were not just reporting a robbery we actually had the bloke apprehended and his mate was attemping to get out onto the roof..... When dealing with the police I have generally had no issues I am always polite and never argue as such most of the time pass their attitude test without a problem...but my most recent run in, was the last straw..... 5:45am sunday morning booked for doing 58kmh in a 50 zone...supposedly.... Now I know several things things for sure : 1) he didnt get me on a radar. 2) he followed me for no more than 400m 3) I had just left home about 800m away my ApexiFc said my top speed had so far at that point been 54kmh and my TWO GPS devices said max speed 52kmh...... so where was he getting his reading from I asked to see the radar and was told he was baseing his allegation on his speedo and him having followed me ...... wtf speedos are not accurate and particularly not that accurate at low speeds. NOw because of this F*&^wit I have to take a day off work and fight this in court..... ps : I never had these problems before driving a Skyline and doubted those who claimed that lines were targeted.......but I reckon they may be right.
  18. They do have more than one patrol car you know....Its just most of them are on traffic duty and when you call them and report that you are holding the bloke you expect a quick response Had they taken any longer they would have been attending a murder....... as I have no sympathy for scum who steal.... and when you come home to find your house trashed and the smack head still in your lounge filling his bags with everthing he can get his filthy hands on and then threatens you with a screwdriver if you dont move out of the way...... I challenge anyone not to give the bloke a good beating. and had I know that he would get off......it would have been a severe beating.
  19. Based on the locations of those signs on the GOR it is a wonder anyone.. whom thoses signs are directed at made it that far whilst driving on the right.
  20. NOt sure that they are all corrupt...they just dont have their priorities right.... in a half hour drive you will see plenty with their radar guns on the side of the road or parked at the bottom of hills, on overtaking lanes etc.... booking people for anything and everything. Just to fill their quota.... but call them urgently because you have apprehended a burgular in your own house and it takes them 45min to get there ( true story 3 of us had to pin the bloke for 45min whilst his accomplice climbed out an upstairs window and fled and we waited and waited and waited) Not only that ....the bloke is caught red handed goes to court (4th offence) and gets nothing but a suspended sentence and a slap and is let out back on the street to do it again..... If you drive 5km over the limit you get fined and demerit points which can result in loss of licence, means loss of job, means defaulted mortgage payments means loss of house In the end you may as well break into people homes and steal I mean at least until you get caught a few times....
  21. By 100,000km I am sure that will be someone elses problem NOt too many GTR's around with 100,000 km+ on the odo..... hang on a minute ahhhh that what the nismo 320kmh white dial cluster is for...
  22. Awsome outcome........sounds like a much better pad..gotta love having a projector ( I got one last year and the quality is so good ( when using a screen as opposed to a wall ) I now use it as a permanent TV. I do feel for the Original Vendor though as they still have to deal with that shitty agent. Hopefully she will persue the matter
  23. I may be able to help you tonight if you still need ....( time depending ) I am in Port Melbourne......so can easily jump into the city and then shoot down to Cheltenham as I have to go to Mordy tonight anyway. If you think it will fit in a Ute and can do it sometime between 5 & 7pm tonight let me know 0411 078 783 ( leave a message if no answer )
  24. Congrats on the purchase......... I own her twin .... mine is an M-Spec Nur Millenium Jade. 306kw ATW (courtesy of Racepace ) the best thing about the Nur are the Turbo's N1's so dial up more boost add some cam gears and you have a very very sweet package which still looks stock awesome...... Did you buy it from Alex ?
  25. I agree ....dont mind so much If it is actually a Ls series engine as they are chev engines but it is the morons you see in V6 commonwhores sporting them that really annoy me....the best thing to do is blatantly laugh and or ask them which part is Chevrolet ( best done when all their mates are in the car ) this usually gets a bit of a stunned mullet look along with some unintelligable ( spelling ) muttering... Only one thing worse GTS's with GTR BADGES - each time I see one I want to get out the screw driver and remove it for them.
