rtune replied to Bakes's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
they are all tuned GTRs vs stock R35. MCR touge time attack r34 wins. I imagine it is 600ps stock R34 does it in 1.06.something ... those all did it in 1.02.something .. -
Relief In Sight For Aussie Importers, Car Enthusiasts Ect Ect
rtune replied to Marco-R34GTT's topic in WA Wasteland
the fall in the yen (against USD) has already happened, down 8% for the week. However this isn't good news unless you're american as it outlines that the ONLY safe place for money is now the USA, not switzerland, not Japan (and not australia). So the aussie isn't going to shoot up anytime soon and it needs to, to make a dent on these import prices. -
both seem a bit high if the temps are right. I have a nismo sports radiator and stock intercooler and nismo oil cooler, see about 72 degrees for both oil and water when cruising. Add another 8 degrees f if ambient is 36c. The highest when stuck in traffic on a hot day was about 81 degrees.. the highest when hammering it uphill (not as much hammering as a track though), & for half an hour, was 90 degrees oil. So my oil temp is lower when racing than yours is when idling. If I remember past topics: check your radiator coolant replace if necessary. Do you have thermo fan as well as clutch fan? do they come on? do you have a low temp thermostat installed?

it isn't the recoil, I mean - the recoil is real and you have to deal. Short controlled bursts.. but there is a deadzone that is not configurable, and larger than it should be, and there is also a small amount of movement lag which can make moving targets very hard to track. a lot of players from COD expect an identical feel and killzone is a heavier more strategic game. However it would be nice (even if they kept recoil and inertia), to have the deadzone smaller and reduce the lag on moving your crosshair.. there is no button lag, or camera switch lag, so it isn't an graphical engine issue.

an r34 vspec ii, and considering whether to hicas lock bar it or leave it as is until I discover what it is like on the track. "spirited" driving over the alpine pass i didn't have a problem with it, was just wondering if something nasty lurks at 10/10ths.

for what it is worth, I have the same problem with the HKS EVC 6. I lose ~2.5psi and not just at the end, it is a gradual decay. Have you tried one of the FUN modes - the one where you can set boost map vs RPM?

how many people strip the getrag 3rd gear but claim not guilty to - drag racing - flat-shifting or overheating their box while circuit racing - ignoring worn syncros

Potenza Re01-r 245/40r18
rtune replied to 25GTV's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I hate prices here. they are available for $128 a tire in the states http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Sizes.jsp?ma...=Potenza+RE-01R -
the first and last pictures & captions make perfect sense. the middle one confuses me again. that is the steering that perhaps hicas would unsettle..

Bullit was just on TCM tonight, I switched over for the chase, and the cool music & muscle car sound esp. mcqueen double de-clutching. then switched off. Great movie if you've not seen it. how great the cars sounded even with those tiny straw exhausts!

Any idea why it would ping on a cold night, but not on a hot day? I'd imagine the opposite..

4x 18" 9j +22 Nismo Lmgt4 - Bronze - Unmarked!
rtune replied to rtune's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
btw to anyone who wants just caps, or want different caps (flat for example) than these.. you can get them from Eddie - [email protected] in the US for $35 USD each plus international shipping (cheap). -
I think what R.I.P.S do is great value. I got a rb26 rebuild quote from a Certain Really well known Dyno tuning shop in sydney and almost fell off my chair, $15k AUD, and that gets you no more power than one has to start with.

No mention in the news.. and since there is no rail outage news or status page, no confirmation there either.. I guess the media do have a gentleman's agreement to keep this stuff quiet. I was curious so I looked up the stats. Found a nice document breaking out suicide by type and success rate in NSW. apparently people who use a gun succeed most often, followed by hanging, then carbon monoxide. No mention in the stats of trains, unless they are bundled into "jumping". At least 6 people per day off themselves successfully across australia ... higher than the road toll.

Here ya all go. sorry i forgot to take a picture of the blue and white rays manufacturing stickers inside the rim. They are 9J though. -
I've been checking the news sites but nothing yet. I expect it'll turn up by tomorrow.

a guy jumped in front of the train entering edgecliff station (bound for bondi). He "stuck" to the front for a bit, then slid down & underneath.. train stopped after 2 carriages had entered the platform. the surprise was how much people just sorta stood around. Train driver gets on the phone. People on the train just sat there (they couldn't get off I guess without a decision on the doors). Train didn't back up. Station staff took ages to come down. Two women just sat looking traumatized. No sign of cops or ambulances 15+ minutes. I didn't particularly feel like hanging around to see what was left, so headed to the buses. I guess the lesson is that if you want to end things this way, don't expect medical attention for a good half an hour if it doesn't fully work out..

if I didn't get a tank of shite then it may depend on the tune, if you were tuned for 98 and have a safety margin then, yeah, probably no diff. But if you have less margin then it might. I don't know which is the case. I told my tuner today and they said vortex: just say no.

rtune replied to rtune's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
yeah I'm pretty sure 18x9 .. stock gtr size, basically. Will know tomorrow when I post the pics. (sorry center caps stay with the wheels for now). -
I'll add pictures tomorrow .. 18x9J +22 bronze LM GT4 suits 245 to 265 tires location: sydney can post interstate unmarked rims, nismo sticker unmarked, original rays manufacturing stickers (2005), rays center caps $3200 For another $200, buy my 4x ISC 20mm hubcentric spacers, which means the final look equivalent to 18x9.5J +8, or about 18x10J +12

Steering Pulls When Braking?
rtune replied to joeleo87's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
if the road has any camber it will pull under hard braking, at least, mine does.. I guess you tried on both sides of a cambered road? -

with the wastegate held open from the outset, it can do 15psi? when does it ramp up with it held open vs with the boost controller? that is pretty unbelievable.. are you sure the poppet is fully open, and not partially open due to the custom dumps? although an undersized wastegate might overboost once you reach a certain high boost while closed, it is really hard to imagine such an undersized exhaust housing overwhelmed with gas yet still able to drive 1 bar on the inlet!

did someone say ganador?
