Coudn't be trying hard enough. I once did Townsville to Canberra in 34 hours, by myself with the help of 15 cans of redbull and 5 packs of smokes. In a $150 1976 Honda Accord! Love to try the drive in a 34 though!
Jakes Performance in Mitchell are supposed to be really good, or Ming in Fyshwick. Neither are cheap however, and you want to book into Jakes well in advance usually.
does anyone know where I can get a new ball joint(s)??? No one can seem to help me. Is going genuine the only option or will a joint of an australian delivered nissan of sort fit??? Thanks
mine went too. Changed the headlight switch assembly, globes, cleaned all connections with electrical contact cleaner. It now still needs a couple of on/off flicks to come on.... buggered if I know!
I'm leaning towards a mongoose system at the moment, 3 point, shock sensor, microwave sensor, wired into existing turbo timer for $720 installed. Extra $240 for remote start - would be a good party trick!
s4-5 13b turbo injectors just need the plugs changed. Fit straight into fuel rail, and are 550cc. Many people have got 200rwkw without changing injectors though
Hey guys, can anyone recommend where to get an immobiliser/alarm installed (preferably very cheaply) in canberra? So far Strathfield are the cheapest with 3 point imm., remote central, siren etc @ $449 installed. Thanks>>>
just read in streetmachine (i only bought it once!!) about a guy with a 5l commodore who reckons he gets all the jap car drivers at drift meets telling him he is "the man"!! Maybe the aussie built commodore is the king of Drift!! Ha Ha Ha Ha ..........!!
I've got the same prob at the moment. It is a hicas compatible boss kit, i've reset the computer with the wheels straight and the light still comes on sometimes. Turn the car off, then restart and the light is off again. Really starting to annoy me!
if customs pull it up, you are up for duty. Don't send through post or you are more likely to get charged duty (I know a guy that works for customs). Nothing that you can do if they charge you. Either pay or they will sell your stuff at a customs auction.
whoa, you guys not living in canberra get cheap petrol! paid 106.9 for optimax the other day. p1r4t8r, BP Ultimate is cheaper than optimax, but you can only get it at kingston and phillip. I also think that you'll find that an extra $800 a year is not a lot to pay for Booost. (just over $2 a day- cut out a few ciggies or a can of coke or something!!!)
sorry can't tell you his name but there is a guy who works out of queanbeyan (next door to canberra) who has engineered a few of my mates cars no hassels. 78 civic - 1.2 turbo, Vl - rb20det, TE Cortina - 5 litre. Check with a few performance shops and you'll probably find someone a bit closer to you.
Dont know about blitz timers, but my auto timer has a screw(i think) on the back to adjust how fast the time goes up. Check the back of it for other buttons, screws etc
A turbo timer is not going to stop a car from stalling!! Try turning your car off (with timer still running the engine), them put it in 5th and drop the clutch. I guarantee it still stalls!!
