Stiff gearbox is normal when cold, but change the oil anyway. It'll feel better overall. Castrol VMX80 is a good cheap choice. Made heaps of difference to my car.

So do I. They do have a chassis dyno, which I've been told gives higher readings. Dodgy workshop anyway.

Anyone had any experience with the one off ebay? A workshop I know of reckons using one of these turbos (or very similar) and $5000 will give me 300kw at the wheels. On an RB20.... I'm a bit sceptical.

Geez, start slouching, screw up your posture and you'll fit no worries. Or take out the seat rails and bolt the seat directly to the floor. Or buy a nice deep bucket seat. Or buy a new car.

Yeah what he said. Even reset ecu, clean afm, clean aac. Easy to do and has worked wonders for some of my probs, although mines a manual.

Mine doesn't either. I heard that only early model RB20's had this and later ones didn't. Don't know for sure though. Might take mine off and get some nice cam gears anyway..

I've recently moved back to my olds after breaking up with my girl, and have seen a speed van at the bottom of Kerrigan street in Fraser/Charnwood just before it goes into Dunlop (near Shakespeare Cres entrance) almost every morning on the way to work. You can really hammer down that street. Before the chicanes got put in, used to be able to get airborne!!

Hey guys, for the last month or so I have been getting a "click" noise from the rear right wheel when taking off or accelerating after braking or slowing down. Nothing seems to be loose in the suspension setup. Anyone got any idea what this could be? I know this is a bit vague, but any help would be appreciated.

just get the seller to write you an invoice of an amount much less than the real purchase price of the car. This will save you a fair bit in stamp duty.

It probably depends whats in before you change it as to how it feels after. When I dumped my gearbox oil, it was a dark grey/brown colour. I just used castrol vmx80, at bout $35 for 4l and it has worked wonders!! Couldn't be happier.

No, haven't removed the mesh. So you think the cold air and the wide open throttle caused the prob? Maybe have to adjust the cable for summer/winter conditions? Anyone know why there are two mounts for the cable?

Just thought that I would share a problem I had, that some others may have had, and how I solved it. If anyone can give me some advice on this issue and if I am just covering up another prob. it would be appreciated. I recently (seems like it was after it got pretty cold down here) had the problem of my car jerking and sort of stuttering when I floored it, and between 5000-7000 rpm. It only happened when I was on full throttle, and the car accelerated perfectly on part throttle. After cleaning the airflow meter and airfilter (didn't check plugs as they are 3000km old iridiums- gapped at the factory 1.1mm as my car is dead stock apart from a K&N pod) which didn't make a difference, I rememberd that I had once (10 months ago) adjusted the accelerator cable a bit tighter. I simply loosened the bolt adjustment off a couple of mm, and everything seems to be good. Can anyone explain what happened??? Could I have any further problems?

My girlfriend had a red commodore tailgating her in a 100 zone. She proceeded to speed up to pull away (this was on an empty country road- she was feeling quite intimidated) and discovered the commodore had disco lights. Stupid f@#king c%*ts.
