  1. Cheers plaganis. Took it for an alignment recently and the mechanic said he couldn't find anything wrong. Good news I guess, but the noise is still annoying!!
  2. I really wish I wasn't working!! Might come down at lunchtime though. Prob only have about 10 mins, but really want to check out all the lines...
  3. I like em. Reminds me of the old SLR 5000. Can anyone say SLR-32... He he he.
  4. Check the outside temp sender. On my 32 a wire had come off. same symptoms as you, fixed with electrical tape.
  5. Yeah, sorry, but I agree with a few of the other guys here. It looks totally f@#ked. Spend your cash on a 1600 to start with.
  6. Well, been told by a mate that's a copper, that EVERYTHING I can do is illegal, from my pod, to future turbo upgrades, to my cars height. Apparently all aftermarket computers are illegal as well. As I said, it's not the cops I'm worried about, it's paying 2k a year for insurance that may be usless. Anyway, cheers, I'll check with Dickson registry and if I can score a full list, I'll let you guys know.
  7. Hey boys and girls, Does anyone know of a website or anywhere else I can get a list of what is and isn't allowed on our cars in Canberra? Just a bit worried that if I do have a prang, insurance may not pay out if there are any "illegal" mods. Thanks
  8. VLT boxes are damn expensive, and pretty rare. Seen them going for $2000 before. If you have one, sell it and buy a RB25 box, and have heaps of change left over.
  9. Buy a 1600. 5k would get you a sweet one, and if it's close to original, can only go up in value. They are classics. Sorry, but had one as my first car, and have always loved them. Wish I never sold it.....
  10. Well, checked all the bolts etc- all tight. Did notice that while jacked up with the handbrake on, the wheel has play in it. Not heaps, but it will turn back and forth a few centimeters. Dunno, might have to fork out cash to have someone look at it, as much as I hate to spend money.
  11. I once saw lights in the sky, and on the ground, and fat dudes lighting farts, meteorites and space junk plus heaps of other things all on the same night. Might have been the little blue tinged mushies I ate though......
  12. The test isn't hard if you know the road rules.
  13. Ps Anyone see the crash on the roundabout at Kings Ave and parkes way last night?? Nasty, looked like he'd rolled a few times and caught fire. Must of been goin sooooo quick by the look of it. Don't even know what kinda car it was.
  14. Spotted, the dude with an r33 rb20de. Delivered a bed to him. Sorry, didn't catch your name. Also, a white 33 pulling out onto Lhotsky st in charnie this arvo about 5.30. Was in the 32 behind you tryin to keep up. And heaps of others in Braddon last night.
  15. Hey guys, I've posted this before, and have checked most things I know how too. Anyhow, my problem is than when taking off, on gear changes when accelerating, and when reversing, I usually get a loud "click" noise from my rear right wheel. If I take off very gently it doesn't happen. I have checked my rear suspension and nothing seems loose. Is it hard to get into the rear hubs and check the handbrake setup? Any ideas anyone? It's been happening for a few months now and seems to be getting worse. Any thoughts appreciated!!
  16. Tough as buggery! Serviced regularly they will just keep going and going. Bought mine at 140 000km, now at 171 000km with no major probs. Good oil and regular servicing.
  17. Look like they might be those "spinner" things. Pretty bloody s#@thouse!!
  18. It's the replacement for the Mirage.
  19. Spotted on saturday arvo, a wine 33 on its way out of fyshwick goin past adfa (dunno what the roads called). I was in the 32, givin it a little squirt but only getting wheel spin (wet roads). Got a wave and a grin, good to see a friendly line owner, too many just ignore you.
  20. rb25, $50 for a solicitor to listen to your story and write a letter?!?. Try a minimum charge of $250-300 an hour (1 hour minimum).
  21. Got a R32gtst, totally stock except for a pod.
  22. Hey all, well, had roil in my engine oil for 1000km now, and to be honest, haven't noticed a "big" difference. There may be minor improvements, butt I'm too vague to notice them. However, if roil prolongs my engines life I am happy! There have been no downsides to adding roil that I have noticed (my tappets(?) are a bit noisier on start-up, but I put this down to colder weather than before I added roil), and I have just added some to my power-steering fluid that was making funny noises, but I'll report on that later. Any other questions on my experiences, just ask!!
  23. Bloody hell!! Oh well, I guess it's not a good idea to go to Ming/DTS then.
  24. What did ming used to be called? I think most shops in Canberra (and Aus. for that matter) have people who have had probs. with them bad mouthing them. If you're only doing minor mods, exhaust, cold air, there's not to much to worry about. Do plugs and servicing stuff yourself, then you don't have to worry about someone getting the basics wrong.
  25. I find that roundabout particularly slippery. But then I do have really nasty tyres too. Once spun my old datto 1600 a couple of times trying to hammer round a corner in the wet.
