  1. I'm going to borrow my brothers spare press if anyone wants to join me in swapping them over. In Adelaide that is. Seeming that most of us are out north we could get a production line going.
  2. Ring back the first supplier and see if he will beat the new price. Could have a price war. Both companies are trying to get the business. When do you want coin?
  3. its the drain from the electric aerial. Just in case water gets in the top through a broken aerial.
  4. Can you put me down for all 3 kits thanks Ryan.
  5. those 2 wires inside the shield are most probably comms related. If you don't shield them properly you could get noise in. And noise affects the data that its sending. If you strip them back further you will find they are twisted. You can buy twisted pair shielded cable from any electrical shops.
  6. I don't think he is lazy. He is driving 2Hrs from the country to see me and get it sorted.
  7. Both there is 2 wires for the video If you stip back your video lead the outside sheild goes to pin 6 and the center core of cable (usually yellow for video) goes to pin 4. Make sure you strip it so its not shorted. Although from what I have seen the factory leads they use pin 5 as the shield. So 5 or 6 will do. Once you get the video to work it will most probably be blocked whilst driving. The english conversion can unblock this. Or you can get a TV override box and loom. Try watching your factory TV and see if a message comes up and the screen goes black when you dive. Then you will need it over ridden
  8. Just run the video to the factory tuner in the boot and set the TV to VTR (aux). You will need a special plug adapter.
  9. Did you make sure its set for the right region? I have picked up some channels when searching on other country before.
  10. If the brushes on the fuel pump motor are worn to there limits then they wont be contacting the armature on the shaft to energize the magnetic fields to make it turn. A wire could break but still make a circuit when the insulation is holding it together. Then when everything warms up the insulation stretches and pulls the wire apart Try puling each wire from its ends and see if the insulation stretches anywhere. Check for voltage at the pump you might see the volts go from 12 to 0 then its the wiring. If you have constant 12v at the pump and the pump stops then its the pump. Also do the relay mod and run a heavier wire to the pump through the relay.
  11. When you tune it are you tuning it to Australia. Sometimes they go back to Taiwan. The region might have to be set. Other than that I would be borrowing anothet tuner to see if it does the same or try another set of aerials. The ones supplied with the tuner work well in Adelaide and everyone else. You could also try tuning it with the aerias outside of car with vision of your main TV transmission towers if thats possible.
  12. B is Bodygaurd ^^^thanks for the clue. I love that movie Bulletproof. Sorry for not following the rules
  13. I will be there for my 3rd year. Great day out. I just worry about the drive home.
  14. Get a dvd player to put in the spot of the radio and run the video to the AUX in the boot and play it to the front screen. Im in Adelaide if you need help
  15. You know where I am if you want to lighten your wallet a bit more and get the conversion done. ha ha
  16. I had an SLR5000 that looks like that colour. It was called canary yellow.
  17. Yes you can. I will send you a japanese dvd rom for your one. Ive got a dvd rom that works fine just couldnt change it to english if you want to swap.
  18. I was going to try this with one of my old dashs. If I was you I would get the kit. The front panel for the AC is powered up from the radio. Unless you can cut a circuit board in half and then work out where to supply the AC circuit. Both the Audio and AC circuits are on the same board and its near impossible to seperate.
  19. Hi from the email you sent me it looks like you have done everything right. Maybe try the antenna in a different spot. The furtherest apart and highest position works best. And try re-tuning it in sight with the tv transmitting tower. I get a better tune when Im in full view of Adelaides TV tower.
  20. If there coilovers just undo the bottom 2 lock rings and wind thw spring down. That will shorten them enough to get them out. Or use some leverage to pull your suspension arms down and slide it off the bolt.
  21. Jaycar have fuel cut defeater kit that I used on my last 33. It was only $20 or so to build. It has a trim pot so you can turn the cut of voltage right down.
  22. Maybe you could get them laser cut. Or there is a stencil of some sort that you can paint the emblem on with.
