  2. Spotted TRD-33Y on cleveland street around 7ish on saturday, damn that traffic was bad. Spotted TURBOS at double bay around 1.30am sunday with a ridiculously loud exhuast. and two girls in a grey R32 GTST on cleveland street 2.30am ish dancing and singing in the car. BTW, I was in a white R32 GTR ATI-33A
  3. Sorry don't think I could find any information on this during the 33 pages or so. Maybe there was just too much to read and I missed it. anyway, my friend has a WRX and I'm trying to find out for him if he would have any problems fitting one in. I noticed most of you guys are increasing boost to 14 psi or so, but that is stock for WRX, is there much room for improvement for him or would he be better saving his money and getting an electronic one? P.S. had anyone gone over 14 psi with any problems or spiking? thanks

  5. Thanks for that, I took my car out for a drive today everything seemed to be ok except the 4wd and abs lights come on straight away when I start the car. I check the atessa fluid in the boot, it looked full but quite brown. hopefully it will be a simple problem fixed. do you know if there is any problem driving the car with this problem? other than no 4wd or abs? eg, will it damage the car in anyway. cheers

  7. Hi all, I've done abit of a search and couldn't find anything on transmittion overheating. I had big problem driving back from Canberra to Sydney today in the big rain. just as I was nearing the exit of the M5 onto king georges road, my R32 GTR started having some power problems. The power started flucuating. and constantly losing power and then getting a bit back and then losing it again. but the front torque meter would go wild. I checked that my clutch wasn't slipping (no spike in revs) oil pressure was ok, as was the water temp, no tyres were flat. When I stopped at the lights, the idle was going up and down abit but nothing over 1K. and when I tried to move off the lights, It almost didn't move, maybe moving 5km/h, no power, no boost, nothing. I finally pulled over to the side popped the bonnet to smell if anything was burning(nothing out of the ordinary) and rested the car for about 5 minutes, and then the car was running fine again, except the 4wd and abs light went on. is this the transmittion fluid overheating? or something worse? I haven't driven the car yet and decided to give it at least an over night rest. The lump between the front seats was getting rather hot. can someone tell me if this could be anything serious? any permanent damage? any help would be appreicated. thanks Michael
  8. I just refilled today, 15.1L/100Km, not too much fanging city driving. R32 GTR 3.5" exhaust, 1 Bar, stock turbo.

Thanks for sharing the piccies. it's always good to see skylines at these shows. impressed with -2gu up's carbon lip -the blue r32 gtr's pod shroud/box -dirtgarages new headlight - just curious that's not street legal is it since it doesn't have highbeam and low beam? -seeing 2 r34 gtrs I got there late and think all the hot chicks went home already.

  12. Man, sorry to hear about your car. Hope some miracle happens and who ever did it confesses. Might be good idea to put a note on your car window, asking who ever hit you to come forward and play on their conscience.
  13. Hey thanks for the time and help Archie, I guess I'll just have to fork over the money and next time read the signs better instead of just paying the maximum parking. Still don't understand why they didn't just put the ticket on my window instead of sending it to me by mail, they must be getting really lazy and just sitting at the exit and writing out details. Hope there is no demerit points lost for "stopping in a no stopping zone"

Here is where I parked, it was only alittle past 10pm. so the time 10.15 might be right, but it was pretty scummy of them to give such a little leway and didn't even put it on my windscreen. But I didn't see any boom gates there and had no problems getting out eastwards. great map by the way, earth google?

  16. Just wondering if someone can give me advice on what to do. Ok here is the story. I recieved a penalty notice today (19/11/05) in the mail, might of been in the mailbox late (18/11/05) and it states that at 10.15pm on 05/11/05 at Park Drive, Bondi Beach I 'disobey no stopping sign' which had a post date of 16/11/05 (11 days after the event). now I don't remember doing anything wrong 2 weeks ago and I have been a careful driver for 12 years with only some minor speeding fines over the last 3 years. but never ran a red light or a stop sign or anything like that. the notice states that I have to pay $175 within 21 days of the date of service. I presume this is the date I recieved the notice right? Also if I was stopped in a no stopping zone(which I don't think I was) wouldn't they put the notice on my car instead of sending it by mail? The only thing that might of happened is that bondi carpark turns into a 'no stopping' zone after 10pm, I don't go to bondi often, can anyone confirm this? thanks for any information on what I should do.
  17. I like the idea of moving the air cond controls to the ashtry location since you hardly touch or look at it that often anyway. Lwells, is that actually from your car? is so, how much did it cost? Jop, I was going to say, same as the others, it's your car, do what you want. and congradulations on owning all the cars you wanted. I doubt that I will be able to own all the cars I want in my life time. as for power, have you considered keeping the rwd and do a rb30/26 convertion?
  18. yer I recently changed my timing belt to a 'gates' from unique auto sports, the guy said it might be noiser that standard but I haven't really noticed a difference.
  19. Hi SK, just curious about the suspension. When I got my r32 gtr imported it came with Bilstein shocks (yellow with bilstein written on it). I'm finding it too rough for Sydney roads. Is there more than one Bilstein shocks for the R32? or is what I have the same as the one in your group buy?   20. Just a simple question, is there any disadvantage of having a larger radiator? eg as large as it would fit? was sitting on the M4 in standstill traffic in the head and water temp was getting abit over the 90's and just got me thinking.

  22. I actually still have a 94 FTO GPX manual and r R32 GTR. I'd have to say that if your going to compare a RWD/AWD turbo car with an FWD FTO, of course it's not going to preform impressive. I think the FTO is a great daily driver, more fuel efficent, handles great and in some smaller round abouts in Canberra I think I can do them quicker than the GTR. Sure it's underpower because the power doesn't really come on until the MIVEC kicks in which is all the way up in the 5500rpm ish. But seriously, in it's class it's one of the best. and it definately more entertaining to look at than an integra.
