  1. $3800 ono
  2. 1988 R31 GXE WAGON, 142,000K, RB30E, AUTO. FULL SERVICE HISTORY FROM NEW. THOUSANDS SPENT IN KEEPING THIS CAR IN TIP TOP CONDITION. I purchased this car one month ago due to my R33 being in the shop with a motor rebuild and I was wasting $300 a week end on hire cars which was a waste of of money, this car is the best R31 I have seen, I purchased it as I know I will not loss any money, only thing I did was replace the old tape deck with a CD player. No rust, nudge bar, spotless interior. Selling now as my R33 will be finished this week.
  3. You need a charge so the computer will send signals the car needs to start, use jumper leads and let the car sit connected for a couple of minutes before trying to start it.
  4. National nats national nats Skylines skyline Skylines, McDonald's or macdougales, please refrain from saying Sat as Saturday is not till the weekend. So MRA, Hey, sound like fun, but alas, I shall only be a watcher
  5. One day my car will be finished and I will get to have some fun. Stupid cars.
  6. Hopefully my fail boat will be finished in time, really pumped.
  7. LoL stupid AJ, welcome brother, RAE. 270
  8. Chubbs has a MX 5 and is quicker around the track than most people on here with 1/3 their power, not sure you could get one for under 5k though, but then if your only spending 5k or less you are going to be limited to what you get and how long it will last, look for something with a crap paint job and tatty interior, you may get better value for money if the car is cheap because it looks crap, remeber though that if it looks crap the service history may be a problem. Fun times ahead..............
  9. NA Supra and Skylines are fat slugs, I would rather a Falcondoore, it would be quicker. I had a NA AW11, quick little car, bit sketchy on the limit as the arse likes to come around real quick. Lots of variables though, RWD FWD 4 6, I would look at the power to weight figures for all your options and then go from there. Also double the budget at a minimum if you are going to track it.
  10. Sold long ago unfortunately. I said to the missus at the Muscle Car Masters that I should buy another one, she just looked at me and said sell your R33 and use that money to buy one, I shrugged and said maybe knowing full well that the 50 odd thousand that I've spent on it would equate to about 15k at resale, and hence no where near enough money. I do need to win LOTTO, or have a sneaky SUGAR MOMMY. Who am I kidding, like all women my missus is psychic and would know and kill me dead.
  11. Red, 202 with triples, hot wire rims, I was as fast as and handled like a dream for back then and what it was, carb was changed to a 350 holley at the end as the triples were a bother to keep tuned.
  12. I'm so pumped for this, I'm even thinking of buying some rear tyres specifically for it. I haven't drag raced a car for 25 yrs, and back then it was not what you could call legal, memories of the Foreshore at Botany at 3am on a Saturday morning in my LJ GTR. Ah how times have changed, mostly for the better. This is going to be sweet, I'm gonna do a heap of runs and relive my slightly naughty youth. Do wish I still had the LJ though.
  13. What's the place like for swagging up, if I do go I was going to stay on site or just in some random park ? Would I survive a couple of days ?
  14. Snagged is grabbing or catching something that was unexpected, hence, What luck, I Snagged the front seat.
  15. Snaggle also means to get something that others want before them, hence, I snaggled the best seat.
  16. Bears diff and transmissions. Cost me $1100 for a full rebuild using new bearings and syncros.
  17. I was on the grass at T1, so many yellow flags, T1 on the first lap with cold slicks and sheep stations at stake meant nearly every race someone came off or hit someone else, the kids loved it, poor old cars, some nice old girls were out. Sunburned much though, balding head and no hat was a problem. Awesome day.
  18. Should I do trackday at EC or drive to winton and do a trackday at SAU nats on an untested motor, I cannot make up my mind. It's a long tow home from winton.....:.... Do want to go though. I need a car trailer:...............
  19. May be turning up a bit late due to family stuff, if you need some zip ties come see me as I've got a s hit tin of them in various sizes for any members that need them, various sizes. Free to good home.
  20. My boat has whiteline sway bar, bilsteins with king spring, and front and rear strut bracing, it handles great, has a slight touch of understeer mid corner which can be fixed by the accelerator pedal
  21. You need to slow down and weave, small left to right movements, might need to up your amps a bit, plenty of you tube clips and internet tutorials, lots of practice helps. You don't need tafe, I'm a first class metal worker but I could weld well before going to tafe. Practice and you will be fine, look for penetration and after welding something up try and break the weld. Did I say practice.
  22. My 300 killerwasps GTST is also a boat, what's your point ?
  23. Most modified skylines will run in SVD class, a blue battery triangle and a fire extinguisher is all that is needed, don't be put of thinking you or your car won't be good enough, there will be time groups for everyone. A lot of the cars are daily drivers, there is no door to door and overtaking is only permitted on the straights. As stated Eastern Creek will be under going some major changes and it would be a pity not to have a go on this awesome track before they change the layout. Me, I'm defiantly going to try and beat my PB and get some vanity pics of my car. Plus we need to keep the buzz bombs honest.
