LOL, yeah aint that the truth, My car will be tuned at Unigroup and I trust them with it, they got my motor built with me telling them that I want a strong motor that can handle some abuse so they used lots of good bits and peices like a big sump with flappy things and huge drains from the head and other magical bits and peices for oily stuff, its got coolers and others bits and peices for safety. Im just looking for ideas on things to talk to hem about so we are on the same page, the car will only be used for super sprints so a max of about 3-4 laps so Im hoping that I shouldnt have to many problems with heat and such. Also this is why Ive posted in motorsport as appossed to forced induction as I fell that the brain cells are slightly more active here.

And they should pay for their mistakes, but people dont want to do this because there is someone in their ear saying "I can get you off this because I know how the legal system works, and now you dont have to pay for your mistakes, and your the victom of a injust legal system". Saying that rubbish about the more police and bigger jails is a cop out that always get vomited out. With less idiots making stupid mistakes on the road we would need less police-less hospital beds-less grave diggers. Face it, its easier for them to not accept responceability for their actions than to accept them. But then thats why we have lawyers, mostly.

Okaly doakaly, Ill tell them that I want it tuned safe for good torque and not to worry about high HP, from what I understand once the torque starts to drop there is no point trying to wring its neck for more HP as I should be changing gear before the torque drops anyway, but if the torque doesnt drop the boost will go up to a safe reasonable level until it does, keeping in mind injectors and the turbo becoming non efficient. What the internets have told me; Torque drops=shift just before drop. Torque stays flat=shift at rev limit which I think will be set at 7000rpm Torque eases off=shift so next gear is at a higher or same torque level I wonder what mine will do ? Also I may have to look at a better (correct size) and more efficient turbo down the track. Car goes in on the 20 Dec for the tune so once its done Ill throw up a readout. Thanks again guys

Do the crime-Do the time. Im sick of people being caught doing wrong and then finding a loop hole and getting out of it. Excusses are like arseholes, everyone got one, I dont care if you cannot get to work, or there is no public transport, its time people take responceability for their actions and not run crying like spoilt little children. Dont like my opinions, then talk to people who have had their familys/children killed by scum who thought they were fine to drive or that speeding through a school zone is no big thing.

Nice work guys, Im old and grumpy but after only 3 Scotchs I think Ive got it sorted, do like my previous post thingie, and finally found the PM thingie also. My only problem is the bright screen but youve already stated that there will be new screen things soon anyways. Love your work, give your self a EKO.... Mark (whats a format) Robinson -
Thanks guys, Ill let the tuner go for it and talk torque stuff with him. Again thankyou for your patience. Mark (I dont have a clue) Robinson

Do wants for a 25/30...

Have you tried a hair dryer ?

Its not max power Im after, its useable power, was told my turbo would be good for 400ish so hence my question with the max power at 400, my mates GTR has 450ish but takes a week to come on the boil (around 5000rpm I think), good for the drags and the dyno but not so much for the track I feel, mine is making boost at just over 3200ish now (3900 with the old 25 bottom end) but to get 475 I would need a bigger pump which would kill the resonse, I got the bigger bottom end to help with response as it was rubbish in the tight twisties. So far Im thinking of a tune to around 300 on the low and a max (within reason) on the high. Thanks for your responses, I need all the help I can get. Mark (my mum says Im special) Robinson

From what Ive heard through the grape vine this will be awsome x 10 billion.

Forgive my nooby questions. I have a road registered R33 GTS-T with a 25/30 (built), It shall be going in for the final tune soon, as it is now its got around 220 @ 7 psi (EBC is turned off but has another 2 settings, (low and high). I use R compound semi slick tyres. I suppose what Im asking is how much power should I look at getting it tuned to, how much power is too much for a RWD car to handle at the track (applying flame suit now). Yes I know its a very open question with driver ability or lack of said ability, but I dont want it tuned to 400kw if 300kw will do. I will only be doing supersprints at Wakey or E/C (RIP OP). I hope someone understands my dribbling. Thanks, Mark (what the hell am I doing) Robinson

Hd Button Or Hd Cushioned Button?
The Bogan replied to bsd-gtst's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Excedy Single Sports Organic in mine running around 375 hp atw, with 1/2 a dozen super sprints and about 10 000ks of driving it is now at about 50%, Has not slipped once and is still nice and light. -
I like my stock seat and Ive got back problems, the Sparco one I use for track has no lumber support at all and I use a small pillow in the lower back region when I use it, just try adjusting the lumber support on the left hand side, height front to rear and dont have it to far leaned back. Mark

I would ask your local tuners what they like to tune, and what they recommend. I was in Townsville a couple of weeks ago, not much choice for tuners and no bloody local race tracks, drag strip looked OK though.

Next time if alls going well I can do some skids. Also need to bring a "kiss the cook" apron.

My Rear Seat Delete & Interior Modifications
The Bogan replied to PM-R33's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I had to remove the rear seats because of the half cage legalities, painted it matte black and it looks good to go, only problem is now I can hear the fuel pump and alot more road noise, might have to get some carpet in there to muffle the noise a bit, hows yours for noise now. -

A general rule of thumb for the correct tightness is being able to twist a belt with a thumb and finger a 1/2 turn and feel resistance. If you can turn it more than a 1/2 turn, you do not have enough tension on the belt. If you cannot turn it a 1/2 turn, you have too much tension on the belt. Loose belts will result in premature belt wear caused by the belt slipping along the pulleys. This can also cause an alternator to be unable to replace a charge to the battery fully. There may also be a pronounced squeal from the belt during operation from the belt slipping. Over-tightened belts can cause internal damage to the bearings inside the pulleys. It can also cause overheating of the belts and premature wear. Read more: How to Adjust a Belt Tensioner | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_5091204_adjust-bel...l#ixzz16SuNZ3dL

If its a dollar problem Ive gone with 3rd party fire and theft from just cars, Ive listed all my mods (went to 2 pages, lol) and it cost $450ish, its insured for market value though, Disclaimer, Im 45 and have only listed my mrs (40) as the other driver, its engineered and is also in a locked garage with a home alarm-car has a range of alarms-imobolilisers-kill switches and isolators and parked in a secure area when at work, its also a stock looking R33 GTS-T so not really eye candy. LOL, its like a pre-start checks for a fighter jet with all the swithes and stuff. And yes Ive had a car stolen before so Im as anal as 10 anal things. LOL, I said anal.........

[buying A R32 Skyline] 9g To Spend
The Bogan replied to braithe's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
The new cluster on my 200 000 klm 1995 chasis has 45 000 klm, would that count. Sorry mate but a 20 yr old car with 110 k on the speedo would add up to around 5 000 klm a year, in my opinion not very likely. Buyer beware. -
Or you just set up your car so the geometery is correct and your car handles properly.
