  1. My main problem apart from the top bolt which would need some fab work is the pump has different adjustment points, the 25 had a threaded rod where the 30 uses a slot in the bracket so I would need to swap from the 25 pump to a 30 pump, Its going to be much cheaper to fab up a plate and use the 25 bracket instead of replacing the whole set up. Mark.
  2. Its coming along very very nicely, I will need to be present at one of her outings to have a look at her when she fired up and got her angy face on. Mark
  3. Sadly the RB30 bracket will not accept the 25 pump and the top bolt hole also doesnt line up with the 25 head anyway, UNIGROUP are making a bracket up now so all is well. Modified = good-Standard = bad Thanks, Mark
  4. Instead of modifying the RB25 one will the RB30 E one fit with the 25 pump, I would rather a straight swap over trying to modify the one on it, my problem is the 5 mm offset that is causing the power steering belt to come of at high RPM. And I did search but only found that a RB30E bracket might fit. Thanks, Mark
  5. Sorry mate but I cannot remember price but there on all 4. Mark
  6. I use Bendix Ultimate pads-DBA 4000 rotors and motol fluid, its important to change/bleed the fluid regularly, I get it fully flushed every year and bled before a track day or other spirited type of driving event. Its a streeter that gets to the track around 4 or more times a year doing sprints, this set up has worked fine so far as I havent had brake fade yet (maybe I need to drive faster,LOL)
  7. Like this but POV version, LOL.
  8. If you have to weld in a confined enviroment get a exhaust fan and connect some flexy duct to it, I made up a little box with the fan in it which I put outside and have the duct at the spot where Im welding, its not pretty but its better than scking fumes IMO. Ill try and find a pic of one as mine went the way of the dinosaurs when I lent it to a mate.
  9. I had to look so I could write notes on all the TEXI and track days that are coming up this year, 11 events so far, gonna need to evaluate the budget me thinks, tirerack.com may be getting more of my monies than I first thought.
  10. Pretty sure a road worthy has got nothing to do with it, more on oil leaks/brakes and other mechanical stuff, sorry.
  11. Its up to the owner to ensure the vehicle is legal, PDF from RTA attached

  13. Wasnt the Viper styled on the MX 5 but with 5 times the power and less 5 times the handling ?
  14. For what it is it doesnt look to bad to me, leave a note on the window and you may well end up with a bargain. Or you could give it to me.
  15. Put up a price as per forum rules or youll have the thread locked mate.
  16. Nice attitude mate. Set the ride height so your happy with it, mine sits at about 355 front and 350 rear, it handles great and I can drive over most speed humps, it also handles better at the track because the geometry is better than when it was lower, my track rims are 17x9 +30 with 265/40 R compound tyres, fronts fit well but the rear need at least 1.5 deg negitive camber to clear the guard when the spring compresses. Only problem I have is at full lock the tyre just touches the whiteline sway bar up front. To overcome the tyre hitting the inner guards all you need to do is use a heat gun to soften the plastic then you can use something like a cricket ball as a tool to create some more room by rubbing it against the softened plastic. Marks 2 cents.
  17. Its in melbourne and he still has it. Someone want to go get it for me ?
  18. I PMed him about location a couple of days ago but haven't got a reply. I want the wing if its in SYDNEY
  19. I cannot do J turns with ABS pluged in in my 33, I may just be crap but my old MR2 (AW11 non ABS) loved them. And I like the felling of gassing it to the entry of a corner and then mashing the brakes without fear of my crapness flat spoting my $500 tyres which acording to my budget must last 1 year.
  20. Sarcasm, I like sarcasm. G,day mate, sorry for the lack of replies, pop in on any of our events for a look see, you dont need a skyline to be here, although it does make you more hip if you do, lots of events coming up next year from track days to motakhanas (TEXI) in which you can use the daily for some fun (throw the better half in the daily and take her for a blast). Bring the family along for some LOLs at Texi as its a ball for all ages and there are other women and kids to keep the flock happy whilst you check out the skids. Hope the toyota project is coming along well, I know its hard as Im in the same boat with a missus a EX and 3 kids that eat into my car budget, but bit by bit it eventually comes together. Mark.
  21. If money was no object I would go one of these, my choice is -#3. 2010 Dodge Viper (600 hp) http://www.autobytel.com/content/research/top10/index.cfm/action/highhorsepower/page/3/listtype/9/vehicleclass/sprt The skids would be epic On a serious note what have you got planned for the car, drag-circuit-dyno queen or just a streeter, only reason Im asking is a 2.6-3 ltr making that much power would be quite the lag monster unless you dont plan on letting it get below 5000 rpm, I would assume, if its a streeter with rego.
  22. Also watch out for water that gets into the valley where the coils are as the plugs will rust and the moisture will work its way into the boots and cause a missfire, it happened to me.
  23. You will need to join SAU NSW branch of all things awsome.
  24. Raising the rear of the bonnet will vent hot air when you are stopped, BUT, when you are driving it is a high pressure zone which will cause the engine compartment to pressurise which will affect the cooling as the air going through the radiator will have trouble passing through. Read this link for what Im talking about..... http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2162/article.html
