  3. Do I get a prize for only doing 3 laps and spinning on 2 of them.
  4. Well my car is all cleaned up with a new P/S belt on, it will be getting a serious WTF inspection ASAP, I was all keens on a better time than my last one, oh well next time things should be sorted and the times will drop, as long as I get more than 3 or 4 laps that is, my only laps that I didnt spin out on was the warm up and the the second hot one which was a 1.14. Sorry for leaving straight away but I had the poos and needed to be alone for a while(redrum redrum), I did see some very nice cars though and by the look of the times throughout the day they came down rather well. See you all next time and good luck.
  5. 1 1/2 ltrs of oils in the can 2 1/2 ltrs in-on-around-under the car with god knows how much I dropped on the track. First lap was slow as they left the red light on most the way then when it was turned off I gassed it to the last turn braked then mashed it down the straight, slow into 1-exit 2 and headed up to 3 with the arse slipping around which I put down to cold tyres, went around again with the arse playing silly buggers then at the exit of 2 heading to 3 it tanked slapped me around a bit and I went off, I got back on allright but it done it again in the exact same spot AND I lost powersteering so I came into the pits to see WTF was up. Popped bonnet and the cold side was covered with oil and both the powersteering and aircon belts were off, on further inspection the aircon belt was torn to peices and wrapped around the fan with little bits everywhere while the P/S one had its arse handed to it but not as bad(had alot of the cord ripped out). Oil came from the catch can which is where I got the 1 1/2 ltrs (volume of the can) from. Filled up the car with 4ltrs of oil (sump holds about 7), moved the bits of eaten belts and came home. All in the first 3 laps......................................................... Mark
  6. Anti-Lag didnt do themselves any favours, have you seen some of the S h it that they record and put on those crap motive dvds. If you dont want any heat dont start a fire, simple.. Mark
  7. Ten tips to a good day 1.)Oil level is at the Max mark on the dip-stick 2.) Coolant - ensure the overflow/reservoir is full 3.) Brake Fluid - ensure the fluid is at the Max marking in the reservoir 4.) Clutch Fluid - ensure the fluid is at the Max marking in the reservoir 5.) Check that all pipe-work is secure and no hoses are becoming loose 6.) Check that your battery is secure and does not move 7.) Make sure that all caps are on and secure 8.) Suitable material left on your brake pads 9.) Tyres are in good condition and wheel nuts tight 10) Nut behind steering wheel secure 9 out of 10 aint bad See you all tomorrow guys and girls

  14. You may have air in the sysyem, When the car is cool remove the radiator cap and start the car, let the car idle for a while(might take 5-10 minites), giving it a few revs here and there, watch your temp gauge, and add coolant as needed, also ensure you have some coolant in the overflow for when the car cools down so it doesnt suck air back in. Might fix it. Mark
  15. MU SECRET guy even helped me fit the seats. Mark
  16. 4WD (cough) cheaters (cough)
  17. +1 for a boosted XR6 turbo For a stupid quick roadcar that you can drive from Sydney to Townsville in one day and still be able to hit the piss that night, well, the things are awsome. The new Commie V8s are allright too from my experience, OK on fuel but need alot more work than the Ford 6 to make simular reliable power. If I could convince the missus to get rid of her Alfa I would get her a new SS Commie Wagon, but alas, she likes the POS Alfa........
  18. Pic
  19. I have a unrelated comment for sale, price is 2 cents, not negotiable. Will supply pics before thread lock (maybe)

  21. Thanks for the link mate, I pick them up tomorrow Mark
  22. Different tyres different pressures, I would go up a bit more myself, 36-38 front and 34-36 rear if street tyres, to see if your tyres are at a good pressure do a skid and have a look at the mark left, if the outside edges are darker than the middle the tyres need more pressure, if the inside is darker they need less, the add 2 psi for the front to compinsate for the weight of the motor. This is only a rough guide but you dont want to go driving around with under inflated/over inflated tyres as your braking and handling will suffer, even 2 psi makes a difference. Disclaimer: Only do skids in a safe area blah blah blah Marks 2 cents
