  1. happend to me when i 1st put my highflow on, 18psi was a lil too much for the standard crappy hose clamps lol. and it just happend to do it when it was raining at night time, but for some lucky ass reason i had a few tools in the car and it was close to home
  2. im confused.... u bought a turbo car with one of those turbo whistles in the exhaust? rn't they just made for non turbo ricers?
  3. to the OP, ive also got a silver series 2. when i 1st got it, it was 100% stock, literally the 1st day i got the car i drove it to work (i was on red Ps at the time) so i let the bosses son take it for a quick spin with me in the passenger seat, were driving round the block (malaga) and see a highway patrol car about to pull out, this is the 1st copper ive seen since being in the line, so we go past to turn right at the lights, he pulls out and crosses over 3 lanes to go behind us as we turn the corner sirens go on we get pulled over, he gave my bosses son a warning coz it had red Ps up n hes like 30, apparently it was just a 'routine check up', so after that i thought f**k me this is gonna be a daily thing. but after over 1 and a half years and a few thousand $ spent on mods, thats the only time ive been pulled over and i drive my car every single day to work even near the airport where the cops are like flys on shit. actually i have been pulled over b4, hit redline in 2nd gear on beach rd (had an arab red p plater in a mazda 3 tryna show off to his gf by gunning it past me off the lights) and doing that blew my standard turbo rofl, a cop happened to see the whole thing pulled me over when i turned off onto alexander dr and he let me go on the spot, he was a nice guy just told me to drive it home and go fix the turbo (could hear it screaming from miles away)
  4. hey man if its not too hard do u mind posting up some pics of how your fpr is all hooked up? ive got what looks like an identical sard one but with only 1 airline fitting and 2 fuel fittings (purchased 2nd hand). and i always thought an adjustable fpr would replace the standard one it looks like yours is running in series with it. cheers bud
  5. before you buy new coilpacks if u wanna save some money (this isnt a permanent fix) change your spark plugs and gap them to about 0.75mm - dont go less then 0.7 and dont go more then 0.8. sometimes this will stop the missing
  6. start with the battery terminals/lugs, the standard ones are pretty shitty and can be pretty lose even when fully tightened. and before you run new cables check all the earth points and main connections like on your started and alternator, even scratch the paint off where the earth points are. do all this before u do cable upgrades. no point running a new cable to a shitty earth point. is the alternator new or a recon? just because its been done recently doesnt mean it cant fail. but going from wat you've said about the new battery fixing the prob for only a day, id start with the terminals

  8. not really to do with the 1st part of the vid, but at the end where a man went through a boost bus blew 08 over the limit then got caught later in the night overtaking a police car at 150km/h. yes hes a nobhead for getting caught once let alone 2wice in the same night. but the police are bigger nobheads for letting him go. if its so dangerous to be drink driving and deserves a massive fine for it, how the hell is he still driving a few hours later? he should be off the road. just proves that all these laws and fines don't actually save lives. f**k the system
  9. if u know so much and everyone on here is wrong why the f*k are asking for peoples opinions. there's so many fkn exhaust threads in this part of the forum its bloody annoying. a 3inch mandrel bent exhaust is going to flow the same as any other 3inch mandrel bent system there might be a 0.1% difference or something. stainless steel is stainless steel mild steel is bloody mild steel. yes some china brands lack quality and yes some are proven to be alrite. if u wanna go cheap then buy china if u wanna spend more then by a jap brand. and if u drive an r34 nur and think xforce lacks quality why would you even consider it? try and save a few hundred $ ?

  12. mate from my old work got his ss's guards rolled by west coast tyres in mandurah. pretty sure he said it cost him $200 and apparently they guarantee they wont crack the paint. personally i cant see how a workshop can guarantee they wont crack the paint but no harm in asking
  13. you've either got it wrong yourself or you've just worded it wrong. -a standard turbo wont run out of flow at 14psi -id argue ur statement of 7-10psi making more of an increase in power then 14-17psi on a standard turbo giving in mind that the ecu isnt hitting R&R and the turbo doesnt blow. dont know exacly but id say the gains would be very similar. -same 2 cars, same 2 turbos and setups. more psi = more power unless its already running out of puff then u further increase the boost which i dont think anyone would do anyways (not a 5psi increase anyway) -u say a car @ 15psi wont beat a car @ 10psi, if they're identicle and not hitting boost cut or anything then it will. if its a different turbo then its a different story. 12 psi out of a standard turbo isnt the same as 12psi out of a 3076. to the OP. wind the boost down. yes your car will run better at around 10psi rather then 15psi and u wont be hitting R&R

    have u tried turbotech? not too sure if they do T pieces but last time i was in there i saw a fairly large range of silicone hoses for bov's ect. they might be able to get something custom made
  19. yeah he said that was to balance too, ill be keeping the old ones for burnouts as they've got a fair bit of meat left there just mismatched and camber wear. hey rhys have u got a machine? ur probly round the corner from me ur in alexander heights too ay ?
  20. i got sum 18inch rims with missmached bald tyres on them and ive got 4 practicly new 18inch tyres (all 235) that i wanna put on. so i popped into a tyre shop on the way home and hey was saying its easy to change tyres on a non low profile wheel with a couple of tyre leavers and a mallet but wen it comes to 18s and so on you have to use their machine, and also to prevent scratching the rim. i bought the rims 2nd hand and and they've got a fair amount of gutter rash already so im not too fussed about that. he quoted me $50 for 2, so if i can save a 50 ill do it myself or be happy to buy sum1 a 6pack or something instead. so whos changed tyres themselves
