  1. im mobile i can come to you if thats easier
  2. go to coventries and say u work for some company and get a trade discount, they don't seem to ask for proof if u sound confident the last time i bought 6x plugs for my gtst is was around $16 including GST for 6!
  3. also u mentioned the RAC had a look at your car recently - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/352034-engine-problem-possibly-battery/ some of them are also retarded (not all) did he JUST replace the battery or did he stick his head under the steering column? id be mentioning all this to the insurance company as they could of connected the battery wrong or something
  4. without seeing the car its hard to tell but if it was the stereo its wierd that its burned through just the steering column, id be leaning towards immobilizer install unless the guy at JB messed with someone elses wiring @ the steering column. btw are they even qualified at JB's to do wiring? most are just retards in sales that wouldn't have a clue about auto electrics
  5. have fun paying 100 an hour + parts. im busy this week and weekend if u can wait till next week i can check it out for a carton
  6. holy f*k. obviously a backyard sparky has forgot to fuse his dodgy wiring
  7. I'm not asking for anything dodgy id just like a fair go, ive rang pretty much everyone and they're all pretty much just reading off their computer screen so id rather someone i can actually talk to in person to sort something out as my situation is a little different. its kinda hard to fully explain my situation on here but if anyone here works for an insurance company if you could throw us a PM that would be great, or if u know someone that does PM me their mobile number or something. im a qualified autosparky so the favour will be re-payed cheers
  8. yeah like water, thats why if ur washing ur engine bay its good to leave the cover on
  9. because Australian roads aren't as smooth as the track
  10. i know its not answering ur question, but keep in mind if its regularly driven on the street u want a bit of chassis flex
  11. dont bother cutting it dude either run it or run without it. cover on - no water and dirt cant get in that area, less chance of getting defected cover off - coilpacks will last longer so its personal preference, i never ran one
  12. what are dash bubbles? common thing on r32's or something?
  13. lol the CGL set cost me $8 something +gst so it was like 10bux haha - from coventrys
  14. fkn LOL but yeah, what else do u expect from belmont? lol
  15. i cant see the set costing more then $30 im considering buying a set just for the steering wheel lol
  16. pal - its a torx-head bolt im pretty sure try coventry's i know they do a CGL kit which comes with a t50 bit. my snap-on kit only goes up to t40, and i bought a massive SP Tools kit with heaps of 1/4drive bits and the largest is t40 too..... edit: also forgot to add the CGL kit are the TxxH kits - so they come with the little security hole in the middle (and my snap-on ones dont! how gay is that haha)
  17. yep, take the cat off too while ur at it
  18. ahhhhhk i thought u were scared of setting it off in the 1st place, if u need it disconnected or bypassed or anything just let me know. personally id be talking to ashley electrical 1st they might be able to offer a solution without removing the existing system
  19. so its actually got a siren wired up? haha - reason i ask is alot of people dont get them installed. but yeah try open up the keypad and spray the crap out of it with CO contact cleaner (by CRC) and cross ur fingers. and if u dont have the little booklet with the number on it i'd be ringing up 'alshley electrical' in malaga. alarms and immobilizers is pretty much all they do so they can probly get u out of the stink. if u need a new immobilizer/alarm installed pm me, ill do it cheaper then any1 else - quality work not dodgy shit either
  20. oh my.... who did u piss off lately lol, looks pretty harsh
  21. r34 turbo wont 'bolt straight up'. only the dump pipe is different series 1 and 2 r33 turbos will bolt straight up, and the difference between the 2 is minimal. yes the compressor wheels are different but they both got ceramic exhaust wheels and thats the time-bomb which starts ticking after 12psi
  22. ive got an rb20 board thats been set up for a rb25, the only thing u lose is the vct which can be controlled externally. ive got a window switch from MSD ignition also for sale if u wanna run the vct. i havnt used the actual ecu in my car as i wrote it off 3 days b4 it was booked into get installed/tuned. but i sent the ecu to nistune (forum member darkhalf) and they checked to make sure all was good. and the MSD switch was in the car for about 2 weeks and controlled the vct like stock but u can also tweak the values if u like to get the most out of it. perfect condition still has the plastic over the screen PM me if interested i dont mind posting it your way.
