  1. My 86 200zr is now up for sale (I'm located in WA), see full details of the car here. Here is a pic of her just after I finished giving her a quick scrub:
  2. Dang, if this was in WA I would be all over it. Let me know if you consider parting it out.
  3. Damn, Ive been on this forum ages and only just noticed this thread. Ive got an 86 (at least I think it is an 86?) 200zr over here in Perth, had it for a few years now. Pretty stock except for the following: -R33 turbo - 10psi -Pod filter -SAFC2 -Supra FMIC, 2" stainless piping -3" inch exhaust from turbo back -Tein springs, bilstein shocks, drift pineapples She is up for sale very soon though, would have loved to have done an RB25DET conversion.
  4. There is a good run-down of changing the gearbox oil here, this should give you an idea what is needed to check the level. Whack some thread tape on the gearbox drain plug if it continues to leak.
  5. Yep, if I had a scanner I would post my AFR graph from the dyno run, at 5500rpm the fuel curve goes rich down to 11.0 (and power curve dies accordingly) then it leans to about 12.8 by about 7500rpm. At 12psi it basically blows the spark out and gets even worse power curve. 10psi is only about 7-8psi manifold pressure thanks to shitty 7MGTE supra FMIC Im running. The SAFC2 wasnt really designed with the NICS in mind, the AFM setting (4 if I remember correctly) is for the R31 ECCS AFM which I believe is actually somewhat different (possibly different voltage range). I have an SAFC1 (5 dial model) but its got lots less tuning scope. Mine also reports 100% AFM usage by ~5500rpm. Basically the options from here are full aftermarket ECU or R32 ECCS engine swap....both come in at about the same mark (~$3K) and I am leaning towards the latter as at least one of my injectors is leaking and she is getting some km's on her now...
  6. The NICS in my 200zr currently only pumps out 150rwhp, the stock ECU holds it back big time and the AFM is maxing with 10psi from an R33 snail....
  7. 1986 200ZR NICS RB20DET 3" Turbo Back Zorst Pod R33 Turbo SAFC2 Supra FMIC, 2" piping Stock Fuel System (injectors, pump etc) Turbotech Bleed Valve, set to 10PSI 144.1RWHP (108KW) sad, I know AFM hits 100% utilisation @ 5500RPM and everything goes to shit after that.
  8. http://www.bp.com.au/sms straight from the horses mouth
  9. Are the tyres on the the rims legal, if not what % tread do they have left?
  10. ive got similar probs on my NICS RB20DET, only really has started since I upped the boost (10psi). Basically it sort of hesitates as it hits peak boost, not a total cut but certainly not smooth. Its not pinging (has cooler with the piping thermo wrapped). Im thinking its either ignition or fuel based (not getting enough fuel on boost) but I have already richened the mixture a fair bit and this has still hoped. It idles fine and off boost it runs fine too. Time to test the coil packs (i have some spares at least) and do a plug change. Whats the easiest way to test the coil packs?
  11. Thats one nice price, I payed $130 for one of these coolers alone 12 months back. Fits in nice on my 200ZR, very similar piping to the 32 (has an RB20Det) and I am impressed with its effectiveness. Running 2" piping with it spools up noice with little lag. They do impede flow a little though so if your wanting more than about 250Hp of air through it you would be pushing it a little.
  12. Mine arrived on Friday, thanks for looking after us Mark. Now just to install it....
  13. Sports Steering Wheel (GC)(Old School style) = $50.00ono Pics for this to [email protected] please or just post them up.
  14. ive got a couple of a red top RB20det if you want?
  15. I got one left over from when i put the RB25 snail on my RB20 Im SOR, let me know and i can drop it round
  16. What size is the sticker on the red 32?
  17. I believe that the cop has to have been following you for a certain distance within the speed zone (i.e distance of 5km, not exactly sure how long) at the same speed as you in order to prove the speed you were going (i hope that makes sense). If he doesnt have a radar reading to go on (which he wont because he was on a m/bike) then you could argue that he was not following you for a long enough distance to gain an accurate speed reading. Also that speed change from 100-60 is only a short distance were the road works are, go measure it out with your speedo, you could argue that it is too short a distance to have gained the correct speed, considering he would have to have sped up to catch you this could also create some inaccuracies. Also argue that cos your speedo is in mph you it made it difficult to calculate the exact speed you were travelling and there where no other cars to judge ur speed. Also mention there being no other cars nearby and no-one working on the roadworks. It was also a single policeman so you only have the one witness. If he gave you no fine and nothing to prove the speed you were travelling at then where is his proof this took place? Surely you should get a ticket, listing badge number, speed etc. What offence did he charge you with? Deny everything.
  18. Mayhem I wanna 26 now that I have seen this: http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=1315 I can see one in my 200zr now......
  19. Will we be able to get A/F ratio readouts? Or is it just power runs with hp/torque?
  20. That just brings a tear to my eye, the love of Skylines owners, they just keep giving and giving.... Maybe I should buy a skyline
  21. Awesome, i need a SAFC tune, timing checked and boost tweaked on mine so I am definitely keen to see the outcome.
  22. One way to get around this is to get a centre punch and put about 4 "punches" around the ends of the pipes, just go from the inside out, this helps to give the clamps something to bind too. Or just put some more elbow grease on those hose clamps...I have thus far not blown a hose off running 10psi through mine.
