  1. yes, have both if you can!
  2. correct I passed that info on via a PM, but have listed the 6.0% for a comparison for what its worth. Every trick you can pull out of your bag in negotiating loans is worth a shot! I do realise that car leases have less room for maneuvering though.
  3. I will be using the car as a daily driver and am a tracking wannabe for the moment (I am teeing up some track time though with some friends who all drive lambos, porsches and crazy arse minis, all just as amateurish as me). There are many cars which you cannot use to their potential on the street, try any HSV or FPV for that matter (who needs a 6.2 litre daily driver?). Not being able to wring every last bit of performance out of the car on the way to work does not stop me feeling anything but exhilaration every time i go for a quick fang. If you don't like an aggressive ride, tight hugging seats or the low stance then maybe you should look at other softer sports options. Me personally, I love every way the car focuses your attention. It has all the mod cons you really need (do you really need satnav and rearparking sensors?) I am getting a rear camera for negotiating its huge arse but as for sat navs, most after market products are better anyway. Besides who ever purchased a sports car based on these items? I now find excuses to go out to the shops or run meaningless errands. I relish every corner, open straight or on ramp where I can responsibly give the car a bit of a squirt. You could argue that this is the honeymoon period and that this effect will wear off but if you're like me and travel lessthan 10-15 k per year as a daily driver (I average 8k/year) that it will be an absolute pleasure. And then to think that after all this, there is the track still left to exploit!
  4. I took it for a 1 hour drive at 1 am the other night just so as to spend quality time with it (north of Brisbane where I had the road to myself). Manual mode and restricting to 4k rpm would be enough to give my old man a coronary.
  5. Awesome! sounds like you will chalk up the 2000k run in period pretty quick. Me, I'm still doodling around only having done 500k's
  6. try this online lease calculator. http://www.leaseguide.com/calc.htm there is other info required to work out the cost so I've left it for you to do.
  7. Friday or Monday any good for you?
  8. At Von Bibra Nissan gold coast I received GTR floor mats, metal key ring x 1 and the model, some book is on its way from nissan also
  9. Awesome Chris, really wanting an OEM feel to things! Let me know when you need the car.
  10. Gibbo, congratulations hope you are having fun. I am working on a solution with one of the guys here (Chris Rogers) for Sat Nav, rear camera and Aux imput. He/I will keep you posted. I am certainly no expert myself so appreciate the knowledge of others also.
  11. These wheels are on a car from Miami Florida. You would not believe the forums I have trolled and sites i have searched for the right wheel. I have noticed older GTR's can handle more lip up front! Keen to see what others are doing or have liked. I have been searching since putting order in 6 months ago!
  12. that is some serious dish! nice Car
  13. ^^^^^between this and the post in the other thread I'm starting to see you have a nasty dish addiction! A good monoblock should cure that.
  14. 2.5 inch dish up front, 4.5 inch dish out back not enough for you? oh wait let me guess, you want all 6 inches? The gloss black lip (i think thats a silver pinstripe) hides a bit of the dish I think
  15. at the risk of being the only poster to my post..... comp 90's street/track wheel
  16. I'm considering selling my mother for some of these.....
  17. I realise there is an old thread from last year on this but thought a revival was worthy now the cars are out in more numbers. Plenty of focus has been on track wheels/tyres and rightly so. Me though, I can't help myself, I am going to get some new wheels for street use. Will keep the original set for prosperity or track (I know - track tyres at 20 inch are expensive and scarce at the moment but realistically I wont be tracking this car more than a few times per year and not for a few months yet) Now having seen the car in person, darker wheels really seem to suite the car well. Some serious dish may need to be considered too. Sure the 20 inch stock Rays are ok but I love to mod. I cant remember the last car I had that kept the stock wheels for more than a few minutes. The edgy shape of the car I think begs for a modern play on a classic design. No chrome or ricer styling need apply! Everyone knows the likes of the BBS LM, TE37 G2's, R57GT (think Zele) and GT30's and Kris has blogged plenty on wheels over at GTRBlog from SEMA and TAS. Anyone else getting twitchy for some new shoes for their baby too? Please share your thoughts/pics.
  18. I have only done 415 km in mine, apparently still should only be using 1/2 throttle and 3.5k rpm to 500, pretty hard to restrict myself to that diet... no attempts at LC2 and probably wont for a long while.
  19. PM sent
  20. No one could match Medfin for car finance in my quotes, 6% no hidden fees. If you purchase before June 30 with a chattel mortgage you can take advantage of the govt's 30% rebate for business equipement up to the luxury car tax threshhold (I think that is 57k) so ? 7-8k or so better off up front for business use assuming about 90% usage business I'm no accountant though so better get it checked out for yourself.
  21. Asked my service guy when I picked up the car, he got a little touchy! Says there is no launch control. Obviously wants to avoid the topic. When pressed he talked of the LC2 updated style of launch control. Then gave me a lecture of not needing it. Nissan is still a little jumpy about their new baby. This service guy was really nice but the situation did remind me of a Seinfeld episode where a mechanic steals Jerry's car because he isn't treating it with 'love and respect'.
  22. Yes there is a bit of noise, but just adds to the aural experience if you ask me.
  23. hope you have the day off to play! I'm sitting at work drooling like a fool. might pop down to the garage at lunch for a quick hello.
  24. Very nice indeed, damn aggressive looking car. The rubbernecking is a little crazy as it is still a novelty on the road up here (only a couple of JDM cars around previously). have been treating it gently as per the advised 'break in' period (under 3,500 rpm at the moment until 500 km) Still breathtaking whilst driving limp like this though! will let you know more after running it in over easter. Considered sleeping in the garage with it last night. Will be back for the POS at 2,000 km soon I think...
