  1. agree it is a difficult balance. I will point out though that the spec V has brake ducts incorporated into the design, something that is a disappointing ommision from the standard spec. not all aftermarket products are garish though. check out this shadow sports design with incorporated brake ducts. Just dont ask the price!

+1 as the money comes in and as I get me teeth into motorsport I plan to keep this thing and work it over bigtime. I think I am going to need marriage counselling though.

Yeah, fully appreciated the situation. Just giving CRD a bit of a dig for being a tease. I have an ADM and would be very interested if power figures quoted were falsified

what's with the secret squirrel approach, post the dyno maps/figures damn it! please?
  6. Found another ADM Guinea pig Chris? Did you get the diagrams from the GC or Bris dealer in the end? or other source? I am keen for the rear parking and ipod solutions, also a better upload solution to the music box hard drive. heck I want sat nav too. let me know how you go.
  7. I only use it to charge the phone and hold it where I can use it. not for music. essentially a $89 dollar charger and stand, I have uploaded my music via the very tedious CD upload option
  8. there are many tasteful parts for the car, some have claimed aerodynamic properties on the track, others dont. The wald kit is a bit garish for me and is not track oriented, i dont think they claim to add any aerodynamic benefits. it wouldn't be hard to improve on nissans rear diffuser! the rear is not a masterpiece of aerodynamic design, and it is accepted that the front splitter isnt the most aggressive design for downforce on the other hand there are some 'proven' front and rear diffuser combinations with added benefits. unfortunately some of the really great front diffusers with brake ducting and dry carbon fibre construction are frightfully expensive. nissan had to find the right balance between acceptable styling and aerodynamic properties. otherwise we wouldn't see any mods on track set ups relative to mass produced cars having said all that I won't be adding aftermarket kits to my car any time soon, id rather spend the money for now on tyres and brakes so I can have more fun.
  9. nice diffuser here, not as lairy as the walds http://www.justdriven.com/blog/?p=1651

  11. haha, I had a well dressed elderly lady at a private hospital car park in Brisbane stop me and remark 'I like your car young man' not sure if she was being cheeky.....

Never buy a car hoping it will hold value, you would only be kidding yourself if you did.
  13. Andrew, I would be happy to help out as discussed. Sorry that I only have the gunmetallic for you. if you find a white R35 in the meantime let me know as it will take some seriously talking to get out of work!
  14. If only my driveway would let me! have to guide the thing in and out every day as is. only solution is to buy a new house and garage.
  15. Should ask him to put up his cash and see what he goes for! it is easy to trivialise the value of the car when you aren't faced with the decision yourself of spending 160k versus 447k
  16. Jeff, what wheel and tyre set up are you going with?
  17. no, official weights coming, will post when available. will be more i'm afraid. i think the stock GTR wheels are 25.6 lbs F and 26.9 lbs R a dedicated track set up is coming though so won't effect performance where it counts.
  18. probably not the smartest forum to post that sentiment on. it would be just as ignorant of me to state that modded grey import owners hang out at 7-eleven whilst wearing their pants on backwards and hats on sideways might be an idea to get to know some of them first, everyone here is obviously an enthusiast so keep the thoughtless typecasting to a minimum eh?

that was meant as a base to calculate your discount from....

    Gtr Demo

my dealership suggested that nissan aus would not allow them to sell their demo cars, sounded a bit far fetched at the time. who is selling? look at the thread on GTR drive away prices for an idea of what might be applicable to your state
  21. there are 2 there actually!
  22. some better pics, will stop posting after this I promise
  23. Post from NAGTROC, quoted text from the link below. some video included http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=30716 "i did the TCM update last week and found out that u can launch GTR at 4000 , just when the RPM gose to 2500 or 2800 RPM release and the before the RPM go back to 1000 kick it again and it will reach 4000 RPM" New LC on R R R
  24. will keep that in mind
  25. my GTR has yet to have anyone try take it on. no GT2's have turned up next to me at the lights, I guess no one can afford one.... most onlookers are still in the honeymoon phase taking pictures etc. have had a moped and a bike pull up next to the drivers window for a chat on 2 separate occasions this week and a stagea before that. some girls wanted a picture in the car last friday night...... the shits out of hand for now K rudd is helping the GTR though... via the business equipment tax concessions! haha - GTR taxback program may just have gotten sweeter with the new budget (only works up to the luxury tax threshhold). I am no accountant so better check it out for yourself.
