  1. fit and finish is pretty good, couple of rattles from the dash, inevitable with suspension such as this car has
  2. correct me if I'm wrong but they quoted a spec V putting out the 7 min 27sec time at the ring, wasn't it a base model with spec V wheels?
  3. premium gunmetallic 175k drive away, delivered before price rise
  4. yeah despite being a massive GTR fan and owning one, I would absolutely love a GT2, shame they price themselves out of the market though
  5. thanks. Front Wheels Size: 20x9.5 (2.5” lip) PCD: 5/114.3 Offset: +29mm Rear Wheels Size: 20x11.0 (4.5” lip) PCD: 5/114.3 Offset: +15mm standard OEM bridgstones back on for now and for those who notice it looks like it needs to be droped a little, no can do, my driveway would rip that damn 2.5k front lip off in a second!
  6. I would be interested to know also. esp if people got the premium drive away with metallic (GMG not SS) for 165k!! my drive away was 175k... would not be happy if this was not the standard in qld, will have to wring some nissan necks if that is the case.
  7. yeah thanks Paul, Jason and co. from Jaxquickfit at Bowen hills for the fitment. they look much better in person than my crappy photos convey. tell Jason to ditch that shitty C63 pronto. I'll offer him a taste of my car if it helps! (that is assuming you guys didnt take it to 250kph down abbotsford rd as you jested ) The quality of the HRE wheels is awesome. will get back to you re: the track wheel/tyre setup. Thanks to Leeson from AMG australia for the processing order, all went to plan with construction and delivery from the states all going to plan. Also thanks to Adam for the Tuners group for all his help too. how are you going with that exhaust development Adam?!
  8. HRE 590R, charcoal powdercoated satin centers, charcoal satin inner barrel, polished lips
  9. http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=29989 here is some serious track prepping from the states, should get the weight down some! how much stripping has been done on the R35s competing here? Anyone able to post close up pics of the cars?
  10. fitting them this wednesday...
  11. haha, i was too quick to criticise him, maybe we should thank him for stopping it becoming too popular or commonplace. still would be fun to burn him though.....
  12. I have been on hols in mooloolaba for the last week, gtr r35 plates. there is another guy with a super silver at maroochydore who is on this forum with standard maroon qld plates say hello
  13. I guess he's right, this car is really quite ordinary. for motoring journos, stick shift and powerslides = soul (almost without exception)
  14. You can't just buy r35 parts from Nissan either without an Aussie spec car, though I'm sure others with JDM models have found their way around this? Still would be a pain in the ass if anything went on the car.
  15. Yeah, unfortunate it doesn't have satnav etc but don't base your decision on that as the car more than makes up for it in other ways. I wouldn't hold my breath for a model update with those features either. Nissan Aus has trouble enough telling you what's in the car they currently have on offer let alone what a future model will have
  16. if it was supersilver then it probably was "wild thing"
  17. RRB20 black 32 spotted heading north onto story bridge. some thumbs up both ways and then sat my ass back in the traffic
  18. if you use an iphone, this belkin unit fits nicely next to the wheel using the dash cig lighter.
  19. I dont think it will be 3k for an average track day. The pre track inspection though is a total crock. they bleed line, adjust fluid levels and align shite..... told me I could go off track if my brake lines had air in them! Hope there is no air in the brake lines next time I go past a school crossing......
  20. i agree with you about Nissan's prices etc but correct me if I'm wrong, there is no 2000km service. It is a complimentary POS (performance optimisation service). the first service unless you track the thing is 10,000km or 6 months. my dealer estimated that to cost around $600-800?? (sorry i cant remember exactly at present) and is basically only an engine oil change and a bunch of inspection/lubrication points. Have told my nissan dealer about the Willall products and they seem ok with that, as have other buyers at the dealership. won't know for sure what they think until a warranty claim comes in but I would assume there isn't going to be the deluge of warranty claims we all talk of avoiding anyway. I am sure though that no one wants to be the first to open that can of worms. out of interest, how do the willall prices for tranny and diff oil compare? I understand the differences extend beyond price and to other issues regarding performance.
  21. for those interested, wheel specs are: Front Wheels Size: 20x9.5 (2.5” lip) PCD: 5/114.3 Offset: +29mm Rear Wheels Size: 20x11.0 (4.5” lip) PCD: 5/114.3 Offset: +15mm
  22. out of interest, what colour and was it a base or premium?
  23. Certainly appreciate the advice. will be interested if the removal refitting process affects the tyre at all.
  24. haha, agree some poor tools in the states actually bought home nitrogen cylinders or travel to dealers to fill up so they can putter around town with 100% nitro in the tyres! better performance through the round abouts.
  25. yes have looked into this. HRE and US owners have reported no problem with street use and this tyre without the knurled rims. These wheels are not for tracking.
