  1. I just bought a set of Porsche GT3 6 pot brakes, they came with brackets for 373mm rotors, and they don't fit under my wheels. So I’m going to need new brackets made up. I'm going to get the brackets made up so that the pistons on the calliper are in the right order (all the ones I’ve ever seen on skylines have them on in reverse). I'm also getting new brake fluid lines made up, so I can put the bleeders in the right spot. I was wondering if there was anyone else interested in doing this, as I could set up a group purchase to make it cheaper. Or if anyone has already done this, and has contacts who has the plans/jigs to make these.
  2. the HICAS rack is ~5-6kg, but then there is the pipes and the pumps.... it's ment to take 25-30kg off the car if you remove the lot.
  3. my lock bar is ~0.8 kg (GTRgeoffs is about the same) and the HICAS rack weighs about 5-6kg
  4. here is the guide. Tomi_Hicas.pdf
  5. i have d/l the english instructions from here, i'll upload it tonight.
  6. i got mine from www.greenline.jp cost ~$160 delivered. " ESSENTIAL HICAS Breaker" is what your after, or get one of GTRgeoff's kits (the details are in his sig)
  7. lucky you, at symmonds braking from ~205 at the end of the back straight mine used to do it, and when i locked hicas it stopped. And another guy had a GTR, and he was experensing the same problem.
  8. HICAS on the track is shit, it makes the back of the car wave round braking from high speed amoungst other things.
  9. I had the same problem, the wire between the speedo and HICAS ecu had been cut somewhere. I rejoined the wire and it was all good.
  10. Just thought the SAU northerners could meet up and drive down.
  11. anyone from up north going down?
  12. it's not the speed chime is it?
  13. I just got Nexen N3000, they cost $225 a corner for 245/45/18. I'm impressed for the price, I think they're better than my G-Grid II's, much quieter, and much better in the wet. I'm not gunna give them a number rating, as i have only used 2 types of tyre on my car.
  14. so what did she realy blow? or was there 0.13% of blood in her alco?
  15. you should try talking to the whites, they've put motecs in all their race cars, and their road GTR. info from the motec site.
  16. what do you mean 0.13 when she posted?
  17. we should start a famous last words sticker colection "0.09, i'm fine to drive" "i'll put her in a 360, that'll get us out of trouble"
  18. hmmmmmmmmmm for 157.9 95ron powah seems the go. I pay ~5c more for 95 over 91 and ~8c more for 98 over 95 (a smaller diference)
  19. what's the price for the VDO temp sensor? as I don't think mine is very healthy
  20. part number for the GTR & Gts-T are the same. 25070 - Sensor-Oil Pressure 25075M - Sensor-Oil Temp Thay are the 2 sensors at the oil filter.
  21. i can check it through nissan fast. if you send me your vin i can check yours too.
  22. i'm pretty sure if you have finace on a car, you have to have full compo.
  23. i'm sure i kept the filter in place, and only a little dribble of oil comes out.
  24. if you find the oil finter (mine is under the plenum in the middle of the block on the GTR), there should 2 wires going to the bottom of the filter. those wires are joined to the senders.
  25. it's on the oil filter connector. I have 2, think one is for the warning light, and one is for the gauge(i don't have any aftermarket gauges).
