  1. I should be going to this one after I missed the barrington hillclimb. Anyone else coming? I'm sure i've been the only Skyline there this year, be nice to see some more. http://www.lcct.org.au/
  2. The lack of rain killed of the WRX's and EVO's for this year. And Jim will be hard to beat in his 997 Turbo next year. I was a little dissapointed with the small classic field this year, I hope that they will be back in a stronger force next year. Hopefully Dad and I get our act together for next year. We've been looking at some GT-R's.
  3. I want to see some pics too.
  4. It's part of the Motor Show that goes round Australia (Melbourne International, Sydney.....). Holden are brining their Effigy (how ever you spell it). I have a poster in the back of my car.
  5. oh well, didn't win. Any prizes for 2nd
  6. On the way back from Cethana on the weekend, i lost the Center cap's to one of my wheels. Where can I get a new one? I'll take a pic of what I need tonight. Thanks
  7. No, the CAMS regs will take control as of Jan 1st 2008. It will bring all tarmac rally into line. 2006 and 2007 will honor both regs, to try and phase them in. It says it somewhere on the Targa site.
  8. I meant higher boost than normal, but still within the engines limits. I think this is the latest release of the regs. http://www.cams.com.au/downloads/articles/...ions%202006.pdf it only list's the R32, R33, and R34 under M2, I didn't see anything about N1 or V-Spec. The Blue R34 V-Spec II N1 is entered this Targa under the M2 regs (or so the book says).
  9. I meant banned in the past, they didn't let WRX's and EVO's in until a few years ago (2003 i think) The black lambo cought fire today, and is out of the event. It was on the road stage just after lunch, and lucky for him his crew was following him to put the fire out. 1. 919 Jim Richards VIC - Barry Oliver TAS 2003 Porsche 911 GT2 CS 2. 988 Steve Glenney SA - Bernie Webb ACT 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX Sti 00.15 3. 972 Ray Vandersee QLD - Jahmeil Taylor SA 2004 Skelta G-Force 00.56 4. 978 Dean Herridge WA - Bill Hayes WA 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Spec C 01.03 5. 974 Peter Brock Vic - Mick Hone Vic 2001 Daytona Coupe 01.19 I was reading the new proposed CAMS Tarmac Rally regs, and in the M2 class (the GT-R was listed in that), it said that boost was unrestrickted. Am I right in understanding that you could just wind to boost up to the injector/engine max? or is there a catch?
  10. I had a chipped ECU when the car came from japan, and it did the same thing. When I put a Power FC in it fixed it, but i also replaced the AFM's at the same time.
  11. Isn't the whole reson they banned rally cars because Toyota entered the WRC Celica with Bates years ago?
  12. i'd say airoplane after the flying at ross. I went out to Longford for a look after work today. You could hear the whites lambo through the whole stage backfiring. Modern 1 Richards 0.08 2 Glenney 0.08 3 White 0.22 4 Rooklyn 0.23 5 Herridge 0.34 6 Quinn 0.34 7 Brock 0.35
  13. Whites where 11th, they have there lambo tuned pretty hard, it backfires like their R34 did. And the breaks are huuuuuuuuge. the first Skyline was Beeble at #14, and the next one was down in 37th. There isn't that many GT-R's this year. Seems they all sold em and got evo's. And Garwood went through someone's front fence. http://www.targa.org.au/Targa/images/galle...945_Garwood.jpg
  14. so you can just get a common wideband sensor, plug it into the datalogit box, and it will fill the map with the afr numbers (like it can do with knock and what not)? That would make tuning easy as.
  15. I was at the prolouge today, the 2 R34's were tuff as. The Blue one shot some flames as it passed me. And Beebles sounded awsome. 16. can you hook a wideband sensor into datalogit, and get it to fill in the afr for each cell in the 20x20? Or is it better to use a separate afr reader?
  17. Sounds like a plan, you're way to organised, planing ahead for the 4th of June
  18. I love your modesty.
  19. Looking good. Any diference between the black and silver ceramic coatings?
  20. I'm pretty sure the 2 MAP's work on the same prinsipal of 2 AFM's, to get the average between them. So you would only expect minor diferences between the 2.
  21. Just saw on the Targa site that Peter Brock (who said he had retired and would never race Targa again) has entered Targa in a Daytona Coupe (very nice peice of kit) http://www.targa.org.au/Targa/images/misc/..._Coupe_2006.JPG
  22. 1:08.45 First time out there, so I was happy, and I had shitty tyres.
  23. Is she hot? I heard that blue one was dead. I've only ever seen it under it's cover, never on the road. Andrew: I havn't taken mine to the drags, have taken it to Symmonds though, and should be going again on the may 28th.
  24. I'm pretty keen to do this, just one question though. Is it better to lock the back up with a lock bar, or with the washers (in weight saving, and strength). I'm guessing that the washers will be fine, just wanted to double check though. I found a HICAS ECU pinout, and wire 20 is the warning lamp, so if you cut that, it should save pulling the dash out.
