  1. http://www.gtrpwr.com/showthread.php?t=726 this is a link i found to rebuild the lifters. but above people have been keeping them together ?
  2. best price i have found on OEM lifters so far is $90 each.. x 24 it adds up to be expensive.. i might just buy 2 new lifters replace the one the is f'd, and then rebuild/clean the rest and take it from there!
  3. Bumping up the dead. So how did you go dave_rb20 cause i have the same problem. its a RB30 with 25 head just recently brought the car. its not a loud tick, it goes away and comes back (done it 3 times now). just wounder should i just replace the f'd one or replace all of them??
  4. still for sale?
  5. if the panel shop painting my car would hurry the "f" up i might get some sort of results in this life time. 5months still waiting. / end rant
  6. think of it like this. Comprehensive insurance for your whole car is going going to cost you say $2000 a year give or take. for $1200 you can have some insurance on you motor and that wont need renewal every year. what pistons are you getting?
  7. yeah really not point going the 3LTR waste of time with stock turbos
  8. my new twin cam rb30 is going to be run in on dyno, then a street tune at 18psi for around 1000klms while i learn to drive the thing! i would say 99% of all track only cars would be run in on the dyno as they have no where to clock up 1000s of klms. so running it in on the dyno should be fine. if anything from the build is not right it will break on the dyno not 5000 or 10000klms later
  9. why not just run the car on alcohol thats where its at guys fffs
  10. so everyone is talking about getting id2000's for under $1400. please post up a link or a contact or something so i can buy a set for under $1400 now.
  11. add 2 bottles of octane
  12. im after a set too so let me know where you get them from do these fit a 11mm rail?
  13. i brought a garrett core and got my fabriactor to make the end tanks
  14. i know garrett make the GT3794R but cant find any information on any GTX3794R,
  15. i wouldnt be wasting to much money on the head, all you need to make that power is drop in cams, upgraded springs, and cam gears for fine tunning. a GT35 turbo or equivalent would be all you need. CP Pistons 9.0:1 argo pistons will be fine check with engine builder for specs. you should also keep in mind the costs of block & crank prep work. around that $1500. before you start sending any blocks away have a clutch pressure plate, flywheel and the harmonic balancer sent to the machine shop with the block & crank to be balanced all together. i get my machine shop to supply my with the correct bearing to suit.
  16. SO i went and got some cap screws today, all is good we just had to hand file around that one hole. here is what we did - just woundering i got the same thread cap screws as the studs can i just screw the cap screws into the manifold or should i redrill the manifold and use the nuts on the end of cap screws?
  17. thats good to hear Lith, im hoping i have made the right decsion with this setup
  18. isnt this the turbos off ebay or something (made in china)?
  19. ok thanks jonno, it will be play time on the weekend
