Just Brought R33 Gtst With Rb3025 , Gt35R Etc
BMYHOE replied to BMYHOE's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yes i have the rear head drain connected though its sharing the fitting on the hot side with the turbo drain. the fitting is screwed into the block so it sits ontop of the oil in the sump. the best way to test what you are saying would be on a dyno? not sure of oil restrictors sizes as the motor was built before i brought the car. bit of a guessing game... dont really wanna pull the head now its running so nice.. also the breathers you have coming out of your sump do the breathers sit at the bottom of the sump (under the oil) or ontop of sump (over the oil) -

ok so before you added the breather you had the catch can filling up? also how is your pvc hooked up? & your breather setup how have you made that work? i plumbed up the drain back to the sump but it is still filling up the catch can.. though i only have a 1 litre catch can cause of no room.. been trying to get a fabricator to make one as big as possible whith the room have. -

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/240SX-S13-S14-SWAP-MOTOR-MOUNTS-BRACKETS-RB26DETT-RB26-/260545026665?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ca9b19a69 this is a similar kit but not the same.. its cheap too.. if you still have probelms look on nissansilvia i think they use Cefiro / r33 cross member but not 100%

i understand what your saying but he still has a rb25, so it rules out what you said. sure with the size of that turbo it is a no brainer it s not going to pass epa.. you will need alot of money spent on the head alone to get the most out of the turbo so good luck getting it passed.. But for example, if he was stupit enough to put a 3inch dump with 2 catalytic converters on his setup and de tune it he still may pass on E85.. just saying

looks like the bracket may need to be modified. with the RB30 it wont be just a bolt in affair. the motor sits to high. what i did was purchase a kit off Ebay.com form the US. i used the standard S14 cross member then modified the the kit i got from US - (the kit is to suit a RB26) you should really be fitting in up in the engine bay and check bonnet clearances because thats where the problem will be.
-
having a car with 100kw or 1000kw does not mean it cant be engineered, 100% road legal. its all comes down to emissions. end of story. so i guess if you go to the epa and get an emission test then get it engineered, with nothing changed there shoule be no reason to be defected again. if you keep getting picked on seek legal advice for harassment. obviously not as easy as it sounds but DO ABLE.

their explanation was the clutch looked to be contaiminated.. or the clutch adjustment wasnt right.. im hoping one of these are the cause.... if it happens again i wont be happy -
How Much Rubbish Should Be In First Oil Filter?
BMYHOE replied to abr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ive seen a car come off a run in on dyno with exactly the sparkles and shiney bits you are descirbing. when i first seen it i thought that wasnt good. car went to make 587awkw on 30psi / E85 the same day as above get a oil sample test done to save yourself some coin if something isnt right -
there will be more and more engineers coming out this year.. since this new "scheme" is only like a month old not many have registered or updated there details on the Roads & Maritime Services - NEW RTA NAME the system is actualy better then before. all the engineering details are send to RMS directly from the engineer, so this saves carring an eningeer report with you and he said she said on the side of a road. basically the enigineer will tell RMS what has been engineered send all the paper work to them directly. depending on the modification you wont even need to see a RMS counter the engineer can update there system online.

Rebuild Or Replace Stock Turbo - Who, What And How?
BMYHOE replied to Stephen Thorpe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
highflow turbos are only as good as the person doing the job. you cant say a highflow will kill your motor with supporting mods. had one on a SR20 for 3 years seeing 18psi almost daily -
Need A New Clutch?
BMYHOE replied to R31Nismoid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
so got the call off NPC on Wednesday. they seemed very helpful, they have rebuilt the clutch plate and are sending it back for me today. after sales service seems great. will report back once the clutch is in and all good. -
i actually work for IVECO and have been looking & thinking quietly about these in the past years.. its amazing to see the internals of these turbos.. and the cost of one would be anywhere from $3500-$5500 depending on model turbo so there is much larger costs involved and as above exhaust temps maybe to high in our application.. in saying all this we just need someone like GARRETT / KANDO or someone with funds, to test these out for the aftermarket. / performance market. i say its the technology of the future and am very excited
