  1. They were just a lucky Ebay find; the guy was using a GT-t front cut to re-power an R31; and had no use for the brakes. I think they'd done very little work. You can buy OEM seal kits; so they should be fine; they just don't contain the sandwich O-ring. If you took a sample to an industrial Hydraulics Specialist (not Pirtek) that does work with large valve banks and the like; they might be able to match it up.
  2. Sorry mate; that one is actually the SR20 fan clutch. Below is a link for the R33 RB25det fan clutch. http://www.amayama.com/search/?q=2108275T02 I would advise so you are 100% sure, that you go into the listings and confirm it for yourself. This is the page I got to the fan price from; you can clearly see the make/model of the car, but check for yourself. http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/er33/3933-rb25det/engine/210/21082/
  3. This supports my long held belief that thermo fans, regardless of the wild manufacturer claims; are nothing but hot air. Anecdotally, a clutch fan can flow 3000cfm of air at peak, whereas the best I've heard of out of a 14" thermo is around 800-900cfm (nothing like the 3000cfm some manufacturers claim). Even with 2x14" thermo's you are more than 33% down on airflow. The advantage with the clutch fan is that it is constantly expelling hot air from the engine bay; rather than thermo's which need to wait until the engine starts to heat soak; then they have to try to drag the temp back down. If the fan clutch is in good working order; they present little load on the engine until they are needed, and very little impediment to response. Yes, a pair of thermo's might (might) provide more airflow than a clutch fan at idle; they will NEVER provide the same flow as a clutch fan at 2500rpm (most start to freewheel above that; as they are at their optimum flow rate). Up a hill (low speed), in traffic, under repeated hill start loads; a pair of thermos just cannot keep up with the heat that our cars throw into the cooling system. The one thing I did like about thermo's when I was running mine; was how quiet the car was on the freeway. But that's not enough benefit to me. I'm actually running a GKtech fan with an SR20 clutch; which is even more efficient than our stock fan.
  4. I have found that is the "worst case scenario" on delivery time; they generally arrive quite quickly. When you email for a price including shipping; they will also revise the lead time. Give them a go; if all you are worried about is the noise (rather than imminent engine damage through overheating); why not wait & save a couple of hundred?
  5. The last set of Sumitomo's I stripped; ended up re-using the seal kits as they were in such good nick.
  6. Try Amayama; they are much more reasonably priced, if you can wait a week or so. $201 is a much better price; add $30ish for delivery. http://www.amayama.com/search/?q=2108252F00
  7. Yep, a few of us have gone this way; great value, also looks completely factory.
  8. New tyres on the front, and identical brand worn tyres on the rear will create a vibration due to the variation in rolling diameter.
  9. And his oil pump will almost certainly still be functioning...
  10. I would not even think about using that caliper without the correct o-ring in place. Sadly none of the replacement sumitomo seal kits I've ever seen contain that particular o-ring.
  11. Amayama is the go; half the price of Nissan, normally takes a week or so.
  12. Look at the post directly above yours; it holds the answers you seek.
  13. Cheers Guys, I'm happy doing it while there's happy people on the receiving end; and Whiteline make it pretty easy to keep people happy. If there is demand, I can revisit a Group Buy situation with another supplier; we'll see.
  14. I ated a donut today; didn't come from an exhaust pipe. Tasted gud.
  15. More like R33 GTS-t I can supply Whiteline caster adjustable replacement if you like; PM me. You will need to get them pressed out/in.
  16. Jeebus!Looks like it's been through a blender!
  17. Leon, you're all good; I'll be doing yours later this week.
  18. It is, but there are plenty of "wait & see" buyers that will be ready to complain now they can't get them. Pretty much, the market is pretty well supplied now; I'd need a decent order to justify past what material I have left. Never say never though.
  19. The guy I did my original Group Buy through. Or they can bring overnight parts from Japan.
  20. There is another avenue available; but it is much more expensive, and time consuming. It does however require a significant commitment from buyers.
  21. All good mate; they are certainly going to become a high value item as time goes by.
  22. Hi guys, I'm rather sad to inform you all; but Whiteline's BNF44Z and BNR38Z will now no longer be available. Over the last 12 months demand for these has steadily declined, to the point that Whiteline are not planning another production run unless they receive an order for 25-30 complete sets. I cannot possibly afford to make an order that large; and current demand suggests that it would take me years to sell them if I did. I'm not that surprised, as our vehicle is a very small market, and we are essentially the only place in the world that has a decent number outside Japan. Most other Whiteline products have large markets; often in multiple countries, so it is understandable that it is not cost effective to keep large numbers of low demand parts in stock costing large amounts of store. I'd prefer people didn't criticize Whiteline for dropping these parts from their line-up; if we had reasonable demand they would still be producing. If you are ready to grizzle; ask yourself if you supported them & bought a set. Note that this doesn't affect the availability of any other parts; on the BNF44Z and BNR38Z. Whiteline continue to supply all other parts and replacement bushes. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Whiteline for supporting us with both excellent quality parts and back up, and for continuing to bring innovative, high quality handling & alignment parts to the market. When I found out what was happening; I had my supplier grab any complete sets that were available. I managed to get what I believe are the last 2 pairs available. I have one pair left. Cheers, Dale.
