  1. Kick arse result; seriously good bang for buck mods. Meh, 13.1 without an E-manage; I'd take that & enjoy never having to worry about it.
  2. I would like to see pics of lowered car please? To satisfy this need in the meantime; I'll leave this pic instead. Leaf on the deck.
  3. I'm not sure the maths is quite right there Cam. Anecdotal evidence puts a decent clutch fan at around 2800-2900 CFM @ 2400RPM. So that will smoke a pair of thermos at anything other than idle.
  4. A mate had one of these back in the day; it was such a nice handling car; really nice to drive. When I was a 1st year apprentice one of my instructors had one with a 13B in it; now THAT was a nice car. The driveline it should've had from the factory. IIRC; the suspension is identical to S2/S3 RX7; but on a slightly longer wheelbase.
  5. Lucky bugger, good day for a great run.
  6. Lol, dude; calm down.It was more a blanket statement that both your time estimate and hourly rate were over the top; regardless who was doing it. I could possibly have worded it differently. Once your template is made; there's scarcely 2 hours work there. And good on you for having a go. As was the comment about fabricating; Some people do enjoy seeing the smile on another enthusiasts face when they hold a handmade part in their hands. It's even nicer when you are the one that made it. And nicer again if they're happy to pay for it. If you don't; that's fine. Cheers, Dale.
  7. Err, if it takes you 17 hours to manufacture that; you cannot charge $80 P/h. And anyone who is charging $80 P/h is not taking 17 hours to make that; I can assure you. I don't charge much more than $40 P/h labour for home jobs; & I'm a qualified Fitter. If you want to do fab work on the side; by all means, but charge a fair amount, and as you get better, you get the work done faster & more accurately. Then as you get better; you find ways to save time, and you can afford to buy tools that make the jobs easier. This is where the money comes in. All of this just gives you an opportunity to get a bit of cash doing something you enjoy. Save the big hourly rates for hours worked in your profession.
  8. Should have ages ago.Better late than never...
  9. Or onto the Handbrake switch.
  10. It's always a good idea to get underneath & lean on all the fixtures about 500km after you do major underbody work. Particularly with Powdercoated parts like swaybars, as the coatings flatten out around bolt holes; & bolts can have more clearance when previously, they felt quite tight.
  11. Of course. Delayed payment will, however mean yours is painted pink.
  12. No worries; I can send you a raw one Leon.
  13. Hello Gentlemen; I know it's been a while. I have 4 braces that will be ready to go out within a week or so; and another 5 the week after that. Any takers? As before; They are black, come with all mounting hardware and are awesome. $150 delivered, add $10 if you live in WA, FNQ, or Tassie. Cheers, Dale.
  14. Look at OTOMOTO; they do black silicone, not bad prices.
  15. Are you sitting down? PN; 14461AQ800 $1343. http://nissan.epc-data.com/stagea/nm35/6839-vq25det/engine/144/14496M/ Good thing they're saving dollars...
  16. All good, PM'ed Clint this morning; I'll throw in a box of Kleenex; Free of charge.
  17. Too right Leon; no one expects you to be a charity, well & truly entitled to something for all your hard work, and after sales assistance. To anyone thinking of doing this; it is a purchase that pays you back every time you drive. It is a beautifully integrated system, and Leons backup is second to none. Leon spent loads of time walking me through the install & setup of my kit, and made the whole job so much simpler, I can't recommend him highly enough.
  18. Mine works quite well. It would be fine for that turbo. Also skirts the AFM cut issue. Is relatively cheap and made on a jig as a direct replacement for the OEM restrictive cast nugget. Completely invisible once fitted. I have several of these in service and performing well. Scotty makes an excellent one, and is proven at huge power levels. AM Performance in Radelaide do a very neat replacement; Ryan (Bigkevracer) can vouch for it.
  19. You'll enjoy that mate! Any work on the suction/intake side to aid flow?
  20. Post up a pic; maybe with the numberplate. A pic will jog memories much better than text. Best of luck cobber, hope it turns up undamaged.
