  1. Whenever I see someone in an open face all I can think of is this;
  2. Hi Jeff, I have a set that would be fine for compliance; boxed up ready to go. I'm happy to post them to you for a loan; just pay postage & get them back to me when you have time. I'm Sydney based however, so you might be able something closer to home. Good luck.
  3. Nice one Alex! The new range of Bell Helmets have only just been released in Australia, and the specs looks really good. The prices definitely won't stay low forever. You'll look the part; so nothing else really matters!
  4. The HPX is a good daily/ fast road pad; just make sure you follow the bed-in instructions closely. People seem to go bananas when bedding them in; overheat them and they squeal like a bitch. There is no need to do tonnes of stops from 100+km/h! I did the ones on my missus car at no more than 60km/h in back streets, and they are quiet as a mouse; with great feel. Bugger all dust too. GSL Rallysport are great to deal with as well; they had pads & rotors to me (Blue Mountains) from QLD, IN ONE DAY!
  5. I'm keen but the Old Road is a shitfight on the weekend. Loaded with police. Pie in the Sky is meh. Maybe a Windsor Start, Putty Rd, through Broke, Wollombi, Kulnurra, Somersby, F3. Or reverse of above. Kulnurra is a better coffee spot, and the roads are better (higher speed limits), if you don't mind sharing with sports bikes. There are other options if you want to go further south too; better Stagea roads and less traffic. It really depends on how far you want to travel, and how long you have.
  6. The REMSA's are brilliant; gsl reckon they're halfway between HPX & AR1M on temp range ,but nowhere near as hard on rotors as the AR1M. No squeaks or shudder, just dusty. I like 'em that way.
  7. Excellent work! Good to see a local business supporting enthusiasts! One recommendation can get you tonnes of business. Link to moccasin purveyor?
  8. Wipe it on in circular motion, making sure you overlap. Then mist water on, an wipe over with a handful of folded paper towel. That gets rid of the streaky residue.
  9. I'm not sure; I've never taken the time to ask the gravel what it's doing there... Hot weather, poor quality NSW roads; the list goes on.
  10. You're painting with a pretty broad brush saying "spray on products do not clean heavy brake dust" the one that I named, does exactly that! Also I don't reckon washing wheels with a sponge is the way to go at all. My wheels sometimes have little bits of tar or tiny bits of gravel stuck on them; if you wash the wheels with a sponge, the contaminants break away and get stuck on the sponge, Then you end up with nice scratches on your polished or painted wheels. Wheel brushes do a much better job.
  11. The Bowdens Own Wheely Clean works in exactly the same way as the AMMO wheel cleaner. Is there anywhere in Aus that does AMMO products, or do you just buy online?
  12. Bowden's Own Wheely Clean is awesome! Non acid, destroys brake dust, a light agitation with a wheel brush, then hose off. Also comes in a 2L or 5L refill. Job done. http://www.bowdensown.com.au/wheely-clean
  13. I reckon you're good to go there mate; My 270kg trailer with 2 roadbikes tools & gear is over 750kg, towed to PI several times with no issue. Several trips a year with 1 tonne of firewood/gravel/sand; no issues. A large trans cooler is a good thing to have whether you tow or not. At least you won't get stuck on the boat ramp.
  14. How much does your boat weigh Rudi? If you can keep the ball load to a sensible amount, you should be ok if it's not much more than a tonne. Also depends how far you're going to be towing; I reckon the fuel economy will be devastating.
  15. Most of these guys don't appear to need the money (given the purchase price of the car), and they probably have better things to do with their time. You never know though.
  16. But it's front wheel drive.
  17. This doesn't usually go very well.
  18. There's a bit of a thread about using the 35 GTR ones in the Forced Induction thread isn't there? Guys using them on SR's and RB's; although I thought it was less about resolution, and more about availability than anything.
  19. And the boot was nowhere near full.
  20. I was never convicted.
  21. Maybe Matt; but there are much better cars to focus this kind of attention on. My car with a 100kg passenger, or two smaller passengers doesn't really go any better or worse, and with a bootful of holiday luggage; I'm convinced it handles better.
