    0 - 100kph Times

Hi Sam, Have you set any lap times since the installation of the kit?
  2. haha...fair call, butI am still jealous!
  3. I am jealous.
  4. Sam, Good to see you getting into the mods so quick! I have a JDM car and it has always run pretty rich. I have just had the ECU remapped with a Willall COBB tune but it still blackens the exhaust tips. I can highly recommend a COBB tune, it is fantastic bang for your buck.
  5. Send a PM to Chris Rogers, who is a member on here. He has experience in installing cameras in R35s. EDIT: Congrats on the purchase! Post some pics!
  6. What is the consumption of E85 like? Do you use more litres per 100km than regular 98 RON petrol? Do you plan on using E85 all the time or just for race meets?
  7. Hi CJ, Good to see you finally managed a test drive! As far as your questions are concerned: 1. I never drive the car in auto, as it is boring. The auto shuffles up through the gears to the highest gear possible very quickly. The way the gearbox works with the paddles is impressive. If you get a mid-pipe (you should), I guarantee that you will drive in manual mode to hear the throttle blips on down changes and you will hold gears longer than in auto for better acceleration. 2. The gearbox does seem to change gears smoother when the car has a higher rate of acceleration. The first to second change is the most harsh for me. Over time, I seem to have learned which points in the rev range give the smoothest shifts.
  8. Iron Man's garage is cool
  9. This is the oem stuff. As expected is is stupidly expensive.
  10. Inspected my brake pads today and they are cracked... I have ordered Ferodo DS2500s to replace the stockers.
  11. I went to Mercury Motorsport today for a dyno run. Pretty good result I think!
  12. I will aim to be there!
  13. I received my COBB AccessPort with mail order Willall tune a few days ago. After a simple 20 minute installation process, I was on my way. The car feels stupidly fast on the street now! It seems to come on boost harder now and the acceleration is laugh out loud fun. As I have only driven on the street at this point, it is hard to give too much valuable insight into the cars performance after the COBB tune. I can say it feels significantly faster and seems to be terrific bang for buck value. I am booked in for a track day this coming weekend so I will report back after that. If I get the opportunity, I will run the car on a dyno at some point. Also, I think it is probably just my imagination, but the transmission seems to shift a bit smoother. I can't say this is definitely the case.

    Damaged R35

I would like the wheels and tyres from it.
  15. Funny that Chris! Thanks for the good work. Spotted a cool Nissan Cube in that vicinity...
  16. Very harsh and uncalled for... especially for your second post!
  17. Pics please and congrats!
  18. I think the Challenge Mid pipe cost me approx. US$625 plus shipping. Before I bought my car I asked Nissan whether fitting a midpipe would cause issues with my warranty. The salesman informed me that it could affect my warranty.
  19. I think that was me. Were you in your skyline?
  20. I think the running costs on a 360 would be in a toally different league to the GTR!
  21. That does not sound right. My car allows me to upshift when red light comes on. I am quite sure of it.
  22. Congrats Duncan!

    10k Service

Is there a good reason for replacing the undertray bolts everytime it is removed?
  24. Any idea as to when these new maps will be available? It sounds like it would be worth waiting for these before reflashing to protect the transmission etc.

    Excited About Oil

I have the WR35TM oil in my JDM GTR and attended a track day at QR a couple of days ago. We were running 15-20min sessions with about 40mins break between each session. The highest transmission oil temp I saw was 125 deg C. This may have triggered a TM oil replacement if I was using the factory fluid.
