Carlo, please dude, my post was tongue and cheeck. What I was refering to were drivers who rest there noses on the steering wheel (you know the ones that try to see the road thats right infront of the front bumper). So I'll refrase my words........people who sit with their torso's less than 90 degrees to their thigh, should be banned from our roads:) oz
-
Anyone who has to drive with the seat at its maximum forward position should be banned from our roads. So should old asian men, fat aussie women, greek women, women who do their makeup while driving and talking on moblie phones. Sorry forgot, taxi drivers and bus drivers should be off our roads as well. oz

About to increase boost to 10-12psi also. Wondering how the cars handling the hot weather. I'm feeling a definite decrease in power (boost stock 5-6psi). Are you feeling any changes at 10-12psi, like is the engine trying too hard at higher RPM?? Doubling boost---can't wait. Oz.

I'll have to pay them a visit. Thanks for the name oz

Parking your Skyling at shopping centers

I take the rego numbers of the cars parked next to me. If there's any paint from there doors on my car, I'll find who they are. Dont need a dog, just keep a baseball bat on the passenger seat for all to see:) -
Put an excel body kit on it (very bad joke)

Have to agree with Seb on this one all the way. The government here does not want competition for the local car industry. You can see how they suck up to these companies when the industry is suffering by giving them money etc etc. The government has tried to limit the import industry by limiting compliance plates and making compliance generally more expensive. The insurance companies can also give the government a hand in this by making insurance premiums ridiculously high for import cars. It turns people off buying them. They would rather us all be driving the Turbo V6 falcon or something else built in Australia. Only reason N.Zealand is good, is because they have no local car industry.

Blue R33 GTS-t - Anybody Know Who It Is??
Amir replied to Jay95R33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Want to get a possy together, go to dickson and round them boys up. That place is import heaven. -
Sounds excellent. Wish I was still in Queenscliff. What would 400-450hp pull 0-100 and 1/4mile? What is daily driving like? Is the car well controlled or all over the place at this power level?

Blue R33 GTS-t - Anybody Know Who It Is??
Amir replied to Jay95R33's topic in Australian Capital Territory
I'm sure I saw the same one, around Woden. Definetly sticks out. Nice yellow 180sx and supra also going around. -
Has anyone had experience with e-manage. Wondering how it would compare with power fc. For a bit more you can get the powerfc for the price of just the greddy boost controller. Though e-manage by itself seems very affordable.

saw it going thru brookvale. Hard to miss. The old man was looking very happy that day........had the window down and had a big smile on his face. Ca'nt blame the man.

And wait till they become 4wd. Holden are heading that way. 4wd, large capacity, turbo engines....now that would be scary...........so will the price tag

3 weeks ago the car looses complete power (twice). After a little rest, it started back up again. The first time I was doing 120km/hr and the 2nd 60. After that didnt happen again until... Yesterday, heading from sydney to canberra the same thing happened. This time it didnt start back up. Trying to start the car up again, the battery drains dead. Had to get towed back to canberra from mittagong. NRMA guy said it may be the fuel pump, but was not sure. Does this sound like the problem. Would I have damaged the engine in any way? (on the bright side.... on the way to sydney, had a great time with a Merc compressor. Doesnt have the accelration like the r33, but got me at the top end. I hit 180 limiter and he kept on going).

Blitz33 Man, were you buying up all of woolworths or something. waited ages for the owner to come out. Wanted to check out the interior of the car, just to see the diff between a s1 ans s2. Embarassing, but my fuel pump died on the way back from sydney. Had to get towed back from mittagong on early tues morning. My poor baby is sick. Waiting for the people at fyshwick to get their workshop open.

last week, could not believe the number of skylines I came across. Just some: Mawson shopping centre on wed. or thur night? silver s2 gts25t. Nice polished exhaust, std wheels. Woden, this bright blue one. Wasnt sure if it was a gtr, or a gts with all the gtr stuff on it. Civic, white, lowered, 18s with a full body kit on it. Guy from Audiotech in tuggeranong just bought himself a nice gts25t. 400R body kit and some v.nice rims. Helped me with getting the thing that increases bandwidth for jap radios. Got to mention the yellow supra I see around Isaacs, yellow 180sx and the black 180sx I see most mornings on athlon dr.

Newbie here - Info on R33 GTS-t
Amir replied to DREMEN's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The late model series 1 R33s in my opinion look better than the earlier ones. For 20k, most probably you'll get a 93/94 model. Spend a bit more and get a low Km 1995. Pro: Imagine this. Your exiting a servo and theres a Brand spanking new BMW infront of you. People turn around brushing over the BM and then affixing there eyes on the GTS. Staring at it till it exits the place. Not many cars can grab peoples attention like the Skyline. Only one con I can think of: b/c the car is several years old, some of them come with old additional technology. Eg: mine had an early model Apexi Air fuel controller that did more harm than good and a boost controller that was absolutely crap. So take the crap out and invest in getting the good modern stuff. Yeh, I agree with the other guys, people who say there common most probably own WRXs. Had a S/charged Commo before the skyline, now that was common. -
Jay95R33, Any good tuners in canberra/ Hume? Would'nt by any chance have a grey coloured skyline?
-
Went into the for sale section. A few people are selling remapped r32 ecu's for r33's. Why don't they remap the r33 ecu for an r33? So lets take the challenge, give the number of tuning shops that can remap factory ecu's better than the japaneese. Remaping the standard one, sounds a lot better than going for an aftermarket system.

Just had a read of the Autospeed article from the current issue "R33 brain transplant". Hopefully the owner of the car can comment on the article. Knowling, mentioned the car was considerably quicker. Any figures? How bad is the wheelspin? How does the car feel, revving to 7500r.p.m? Have you experienced other problems after the article was written? Detonation problems? Any plans for future mods? If so get them to do another article on the car.

Maybe some of you have experienced this. While the wife was having a little chat to herself I decided to hit the 180 km/hr mark. Car felt great and the missus had no idea of the speed. Went back down to 120km/hr and then very shortly after had complete power loss. Had to pull over and had no idea what happened. waited a while and then started her up again. It happened again after a few minutes (doing 110km/hr), but this time the power came back on again before I came to a complete stop. The car felt like it was choking. What's the story?? What is the solution. I'm driving a gts25T series 1. On the side, the road connecting sydney and canberra must have been made by a skyline owner. Luv it.
