  1. i was in this situation 12 months ago. Looked at the F6 Typhoon, but once your in it you realise the seating position is high (feels weird) and the size of the car is too big for my liking. Ended up going with a wrx - still has 4 drs, goes well and 4wd makes it much safer.
  2. looks like most of the grey imports will be pearl white
  3. yeh like someone said above, they would both proabably end up wrapped around a tree. Most likely the P plater in the skyline would be thrown further so guess the line would win??
  4. the manual will be a 5 spd. Even the evo 9 has a 6 spd, so its being down graded.
  5. http://www.rexnet.com.au/forum/index.php?s...=80079&st=0 someone from the rexnet forum was in japan and took some shots. Extremely clear. Really highlights how nice this car looks.
  6. the z-tune costs a lot more and will be a collectors item. The R35 will be mass produced. If I was to chose b/w to two, Id go the z-tune.
  7. cheers guys. Yes, has exhaust, cooler and a few other things. All controlled with an autronic ecu. Glad to know its running rich, probably will get a few more kw after a tune and better fuel economy.
  8. on hard acceleration, what does blowing black smoke out the exhaust mean? Does it mean the car is running rich or does it mean there is a major problem? cheers Oz.
  9. top pic working and the bottom ones unable to view.
  10. The STi and EVO guzzle a lot of fuel. Many dont get anymore than 300km per tank. The ride quality is pure rigid (but maybe you wont mind this). You risk them being stollen or damaged when you visit the more dodgy parts of Aus. besides these they are a very fun car.
  11. those kits are amazing. Cant believe the power increase from 4 to 7 psi. Phenomenal. It really sounds like no boost at all when I compare what Im running in the rex (24psi)
  12. good points really. Didnt think of it as thoroughly as you did. I was it would use a similar looking r35 gtr (more basic, not as mean looking) shell with infiniti running gear. Youre right it could not be at 75K as I said. Probably 5-10K under ypur figure, so 85-90K
  13. the concept looked more sinister
  14. nah, not a piss-weak GTR, just a single turbo model using a 3.6L motor. The GTR is now very high league. The infiniti and 350z when turboed are still too expensive and not factory. Something inbetween from factory that fits into the R34 GTT category that we have now. 250kw and costs no more than 75K.
  15. There's too much of a gap between the infinti and the R35 GTR. For most of us on this forum an inbetween version would suite us very well. Very few of us want an infiniti and most wont be able to afford an R35 GTR. So I say Nissan, give us a 3.5/3.6/3.7 or a 3.8L single turbo version rear wheel drive.
  16. noticed a few want to upgrade to an r34
  17. foregot 'buying a house' and 'never modded'
  18. ^^^^ what he said above. Trying to copy the link was very frustrating.
  19. Bullsheet I guess? www.autotrader.com.au/iteminfo/adnumber_WB2523119842_kw_Nissan+Skylin+GTR_loc_locRZSQregtAVSCdistRZSQAVSCstateR Q9AVSCregRZSQ_off_0_sect_Automotive_sort_otRZSQ1BJDZfdRZSQSellingPrice_sqt_0_stg 1_subs_Used+Cars_
  20. the evo will handle better and stock vs stock will be faster than the skyline.
  21. can u take a few of the evoX and STi as well.

    It Is Unleshed

The VQ and VR really dont have much in common and the rear end is definitely all skyline.

    It Is Unleshed

that line just cracked me up
  24. there is no doubt it will. The GTR owners in japan will upgrade, flooding the market with even more R33s and 34s. Car prices don't stay the same, they always fall. Especially grey import nissans.
  25. to be fair you would need to compare a stripped out GTR to this thing.
