    New Baby

HAHAHA that pic of the baby is gold
  3. GB closed. I know it wasn't open for very long but judging from the amount of EOI's there isn't enough interest to make this happen anytime soon.
  4. Really did you see the times posted around the Paul Richard circuit in testing?? I know its only testing but it does look like the GTR will at least be competitive 1. 2010 GT1 Nismo / Gigawave Nissan R35 GT-R - 2:05.447 2. 2010 GT1 Matech Ford GT - 2.05.948 3. 2010 GT1 VDS Ford GT - 2.07.401
  5. Sorry to see you are selling Mav but hopefully onto bigger and better things Good luck with the sale mate.
  6. To my knowledge being custom designed to suit the R33 GTR it will use the std mount points and the std hoses will fit. I believe that the fan shroud will fit but may need some mods to ensure it doesn't clash with anything. Of course the rad cap will be moved to the right as per the attached pic. PWR's website is: http://www.pwr.com.au

    Fia Gt1 R35

Any chance of those pics in hi-res whiplash?
  8. Hi guys, I have been hunting around for a thicker ali radiator to suit my R33 GTR and while there are some nice products out of Japan the cost isn't so nice esp considering the current exchange rates. A bit of research here on SAU found that a couple of hi-po GTR's are using PWR's cross-flow radiator including Snowmans and Mark/Russ's cars amongst others. So I got in contact with PWR and they are willing to run a batch of these radiators to suit R33 GTR's with a min of 15 units and a max of around 20. If you have no idea what cross-flow is it basically means that the flow across the radiator is from side to side rather than top to bottom and this has the benefit of improved cooling esp on the track. Snowie's recent test run at PI produced good results. Now this EOI is open until 17th April to see if there are enough people interested and if so I will start an 'official' GB which will require a deposit from interested parties. PLEASE DO NOT POST AN EOI UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS!! Info: Core: 42mm Cost: $625+gst (norm price is $735+gst, so a saving of around $120) Postage: Syd $30 plus gst Mel $35 plus gst Adel $40 plus gst Perth $90 plus gst Bris $15 plus gst Note that these are approx and will be confirmed with a post code. Pic: this is an example taken from the PWR website For 15-20 radiators expected manufacture time is around 2 weeks. Cheers Ant.
  9. +1 for all those saying you should sit in the seat before you buy. There are soooo many variables it is the only way to be sure. Maybe even take your helmet along if you are looking at seats with wings to make sure that they don't get in the way.
  10. In my experience with noisy track pads, a track day only shuts them up due to you lining the rotor with pad material. If you then street drive your car the gentler braking removes this and after a little while the squeel comes back. Doesn't bother me as I don't drive it much on the street but if you do it's probably best to have a street set and a track set and swap them.
  11. It was mentoined that the brake pedal feel changes depending on how 'charged' the KERS system is and despite teams best effort to fix this it has been left up to the driver to compensate for this. I know how a intermittent spongy brake pedal changes my sphincter effort on a track in a slow ass GTR let alone an F1 car Nothing about the bias though.....
  12. Sure everyone wants overtaking but thats got to be frustrating from the driver's point of view....how many people have been at a track day with a massively powerful car in a straight line but either car or driver can't handle speed around a corner = frustrating! I'm just not sure that having a grid with some cars with KERS and the rest without was the way to go.
  13. A couple of interesting things I picked up while watching the race.....in the rain the brawn and red bull cars look the goods. Last year the mac owned the ferrari in the rain - this year they both looked like dogs to drive esp when ITV cut to the incar view. Finally the KERS vs no KERS cars - ok the mac is a dog of a car at the moment so how much of this is KERS related and how much is down to the overall design of the car remains to be seen but when Hamo was battling with Webber in the wet it was clear the RB was the faster car...MW would overtake, Hamo would hit the KERS and retake only for MW to catch up by the next corner wasting everyones time. It seemed this 'battle' only ended when Hamo's KERS ran out of puff. If you thought it was frustrating to watch imagine how frustrating it would've been for MW!
  14. Lol 1:50 might be easy in a heavily modded GTR by RP but try it in a fairly std one and you won't be bored chasing a 1:49
  15. ABS has def saved me from flat spotting R comps (R33 GTR) however the GTR systems are not the best even up to the R34 version. Basically once it has activated you have to get right off of the brake pedal to get it to stop rather than just modulate the pedal. I believe more modern ABS systems allow you to modulate the brake pedal to turn it off.
  16. Just out of interest Snowie...were you instructed by the dealer to use a specific 98ron fuel (ie Shell / BP) or simply just 98ron fuel?
  17. Congrats to those who put in PB's....sorry to hear about the drama's. Geez you RWD are getting close to my times....time to up the stakes me thinks
  18. dezz....thats why I said "Would've thought that the stewards (and some race teams!) learnt their lesson " And if what has been stated in that quote is correct and Hamo was under instruction from the team to let Trulli past, I wouldn't be calling Hamo an ass but rather who ever made that call.
  19. LOL Congrats on the purchase mate.... ...so how many of your kids did you have to sell?
  20. FFS it seems the circus continues from last year Would've thought that the stewards (and some race teams!) learnt their lesson last year and would leave the racing on the track.
  21. Hahaha not a bad April fools
  22. It is true that the car may feel more settled in the corner without the HICAS, however it certainly isn't going to fire you into the next wall as long as you drive it accordingly. Don't try and set a lap record in the first session and build up your corner speeds over the day. I've still got HICAS and managed a 1:49
