  7. As all have said, this turned out to be a great day. Weather held out, awesome venue and was nice and relaxing - esp considering what my usual Sat arvo's are like All the cars looked the goods and was good to see members putting the effort in to make the cars show worthy. Shame about the no's of cars in the end but I expect that the weather prediction played a part in that. As for those complaining about the early start - stop being lazy....that ain't early, early is getting woken up by your 2 year old opening your eye lids for you at 6am in the morning Great photos by all Also big thanks to Mick from Micolour for spending hours on fri cutting and polishing all the track abuse out of the paintwork only for me to pick it up in the pouring rain Quick dry when I got home and all was good
  8. Very sad reminder of how dangerous motorsport can be My thoughts are with their familes and friend.....RIP.

  12. As always mate, great shots do I see a bits of the 'magic light' being run around in those shots?
  13. Should make an appearance for this one but unfort the R won't as its getting prepped for the SNS. Will be good to catch up with you guys and gals
  14. Great times by all!! Seems I have a new target for a stockish GTR Dunc... 1:48.5 is an awesome time Now where to find a sec.....
  15. Thanks for clearly that up Ash Count, yes there is paid parking very close by...the latest Melways should show it as do the online maps. Not sure on cost though...
  16. Ok I am in... Am i understanding that there is no longer a best in series (ie best 32 gtr, best 33 gtr etc) but now just a best GTR overall award?
  17. Happy B'day mate
  18. Good work Dunc. Interested about the semis failing....whats cars were they on and how did they fail? I have a fairly stock (no weight saving, 270-280atw) R33 GTR and never had issues with the semis. Also my pb at PI is 1:49 and I think a low 49...maybe...48 is possible if the wind is blowing the right way So I have no doubt your car is capable of achieving the same.
  19. As far as I am concerned it is that simple, but it comes down to what YOU want to do with the car. For me I would be looking at a car which can carry the family (incl. baby seats) and a bit of luggage if required, with the time spent equally on the road as well as the track. In this case the GTR is the clear option as it will do all of the above and still put in a good lap time. If I was looking for a 2 seater road car for looking & sounding good and MAYBE a track day once a year to give her a proper run then the Fezza would be my choice.
  20. ^^LOL true, true. But I don't start prepping the car until I have details - that way she's ready for a track day at a moments notice
  21. Not much notice, but I will try and get the R ready
  22. Couldn't have said it better myself - buy a car for its intended purpose, work out what you want to use the car for and then choose the car based on that.
  23. Not sure mate.....all it says is off of the stock GTR. Whether or not that is more weight saving than the current SpecV I am not sure.
  24. Awww....Don't worry about it Russ....I did the HSVOC PI day last month and was the only SAU member there......and before anyone asks the only reason I did it was for convenience Anyway was fun without having some RP prepped GTR setting the times
  25. Spotted Titanium grey R35 driving through the Alfred Hospital, 7am this morning....gave a thumbs up and got a wave back. Nice way to start the morning
