  1. I was lucky as Beer Baron was selling a set he didn't need. I'm sure most importers will be able to get you a set but I can't say I have found an aussie place that sells them.
  2. Agreed - most of the quick tracked vic GTR's with that sort of power level (and more!) use the std box. Good luck with the hunt!
  3. I've been using the steel Rays Daytona Racing ones for close to 2 years (maybe 3). I also pull them off fairly reg to swap the track rims to road ones and so far they have held up well. Not sure how often you are hitting the track but I do around 8 a year. Def go steel ones as the manufacturer's of the alloy ones specify that they should not be used on the track.
  4. Sooooooooooo has anything happened with this?
  5. First up a big thanks to the volunteers Wow what a mixed bag weather wise from hail to sunshine in about 10mins Overall I had a good day, considering the mixed weather, large entry list etc I managed to equal my PB of a mid 1.49. One thing I will add is the point that some drivers ignore the blue flag trying to keep a faster car being them, only to end up in the kitty litter - what is the point? Secondly, what is the point of a slower car staying on the racing line in a corner, waving through a faster one by pointing to the outside of a corner - sure it can be done on some corners but certainly not southern loop or the turn up lukey heights Congrats to Chris, nice to meet you Luke and sorry to hear about the dramas that others had. Ps the SM m3 is a work of art - think of the condition of the R32 gtr just in bmw clothes
  6. Hahaha good call... ...now who can we bribe to sit in the silly seat and give him reverse calls? ;-)
  7. The funniest part of that was you guys expected us to believe it
  8. Congrats -thats some good results from the Nissan/Datsun crew
  9. Yeah thanks Chris for passing it on Someone finally caught my car with glowing rotors and Roy if you think the BMW isn't using its rears check mine
  10. Great looking 32R....top work John and Scott and I look forward to seeing it on a track
  11. Lol thats sounds about right ....well within a sec or so! ...for some reason I can't download the table
  12. Couldn't agree more Roy!! The manufacturer's reasons for the price rise doesn't quite equate to the actual dollar increase if you get my drift. Oh well I suppose someone has to pay for their F1 campain and advertizing
  13. Very 2nd hand RE55's Come on Roy give us family men a break...those MS weekends away are the only sane weekend I get these days
  14. Okay now that two rounds have been completed is the championship table going to be posted here?
  15. Thanks mate...wsn't really expecting it at night....so much so that I took down my in car lap timer thinking "I'll never set a PB in the dark" Oh wells.....just hoping someone caught my car at night at the end of the front straight
  16. New Calder time for me too.... 1:06.02 missed out on a 1:05 by thaaaat much
  17. Had a ball!! Thanks to everyone involved with running the event - considering the amount of entries we were never going to get the amount of track time that I've become used to, but it was run very well. After not doing an event at Calder for ages it was good to see that some money had actually been spent at the place. I was hoping for a lap time in the 1min 5sec bracket but with the traffic and cobwebs I could only manage a PB of 1:06.02. Considering that was at night I have no doubt that a 1.05 is possible in my car. Sorry to hear about peoples mechanical/electrical issues and I hope that it was nothing too serious. Hopefully someone with a camera there managed that elusive shot of a black car with glowing brake rotors

    Roof Leaks

I only have a little bit of experience with this, so confirm what I write. If its an actual error/fault caused by the building of the place it should be covered by the building warranty. If there is no fault with the building then it will be covered under your insurance. Building errors/faults that could cause flooding are things like incorrectly installed gutters or spreader pipes not being installed as per the plans etc etc. You shouldn't need to take it to the legal system just yet. The builder is legally required to provide you with the name of his insurance company - contact them, they will send an assessor out to inspect the place and be able to determine whether it was an 'act of god' or whether there is a fault with the building. An 'act of god' gets taken up with your insurance and the latter will be covered by the builders warranty. Good luck with it all.
  19. Well I picked an awesome time to pick up the wifes new car....3pm Sat arvo I was in the old car that had already been accepted as a trade in when the hail hit in sth melb. Considering I was 5mins from the dealer and all the undercover spots were taken I just bolted there - well by bolted I mean crawled due to the fact I couldn't see 20metres in from of me. When I arrived the dealer was getting flooded due to the roof drains not doing their job and 2mins later the power went out putting the whole place in darkness. I had a quick look at the old car and spotted a few dints that weren't there before but it was nothing too serious. I think the workers at the dealership were so busy trying to stop the water that they just accepted the old car - BONUS Not so bonus was the drive home in the new car wading through some flooded streets but no damage done.
  20. Do I really need to answer this? I would definitly enter an SAU run event at Winton - the only thing stopping me would be 'other' commitments. As long as there is plenty of notice, I'm there!
  21. Wow.......Awesome time! Thank god he is not a member of SAU Vic - that way my 57.91 set in a fairly stock R33GTR still stands Even with a well setup car, I have no idea where he would've found close to 3 secs!!!
