  1. Did someone mention hooters??? :bahaha:
  2. If your ever down Tuggeranong way during the week, stop into Audio Tech. One of the blokes that work there has a white R33 and is doing a good install in his own car. I think he was saying that he is going to put three 12" Boston's in the boot !!!!
  3. Shell has a bog stock R33 GTS-t. I wonder if she'll mind if we run it down the 1/4 mile strip a few times :bahaha: :bahaha: :burnout:
  4. 901's get the thumbs up from me. They made a big difference to grip from the old crapamoto ones I had before. Mine were $200 a piece for 225/50/16's, but that was just before the price went up
  5. Yepp, that's it. If you change the filter as well (you should ), then you'll have about a cup full left if your lucky. I think it's something like 4.8lt including the filter. J
  6. Hmmm, Not good. Things to check would be AFM, maybe give it a clean - there's a thread on this in the maintance section. And I've heard that sometimes the temp sender can crap itself. So when it's cold, it's actually sending a reading of being hot, so the ECU adjusts the mixtures to a hot engine. Other than that, maybe your plugs are clogged up??? I hope you get it sorted out. Let us know how you go. J
  7. The Skyline senders are well known to give low readings. Like hitnrun said, more of a maintance thing that a manufacturing thing. Mine did this once. I gave it a drink of good qual oil and a change of filter and haven't looked back. If you start to hear a rattle, turn it off REAL FAST !! :uh-huh: :uh-huh: :uh-huh: J
  8. Hmmm, sounds good. Especially for us side-flow blokes Any idea of price?? J
  9. LOL... I like the second design. Not sure about having your nick name on the shirt though. I'd feel a bit dickie with it on
  10. Looks good. Loooove the beach Who's that mooning the camera :bahaha: :bahaha: :shake:
  11. If your REALLY keen you can do a quick research on the YEN and look back a few years to see what it does around the Xmas/new year periods. The Jap market might close down for a few days, and then there's a chance it could go up. It's been sloooooooowwwlly creeping up over the last few weeks, but nothing to get excited about that's for sure. J
  12. Hmmm, I'm with SunCorp. I'm 32, rating 1 (60% NCB). No accidents, no fines blah blah blah. 1995 GTS-t. Safe suburb. Cost is $1340 per year. WTF is going on here??? J
  13. Bought a secondhand R33 ECU and plugged her in and all is good now. Tacho works and ABS is working (light is off). So the ABS computer must need the tacho output of the ECU to work. Just keep this in mind if your ABS stuffs up. I pulled the cover off of the blown ECU and low and behold I totally cooked a resistor and a transistor got so hot, the solder holding it on melted and it dropped off the board. After a quick look at the new ECU I found that the resistor was a 10 ohm 1/2 watt - about 10c from dick smiths !!! I've put the resistor on, and soldered the transistor back on but I'm not sure if I should plug her back in to see if it's working. BTW: surface mounted transistors are a pain in the butt to solder !!! See that little black thing in the top righthand corner with three legs on one side and one on the other, well it's about the size of a match head, and that's the sort of thing I had to solder.... I'm paranoid that I'll blow something else if it's not fixed !!! J
  14. Have a look at http://homepages.tig.com.au/~robs/hicaslock.htm Yepp, I've got one on mine :(
  15. LOL, ummm.... both really. Both have thier good points and sort of do different things. Traction control would be great for big HP cars. When you've got your clutch fixed, do a 5000rpm dump and see what she does Andrew - sorry for hi-jacking your thread.... J
  16. HICAS is the four wheel steer. Have a check on your dashboard for a A-LSD light when you start her up next time :uh-huh:
  17. Maria, Does your 'line have an active LSD diff or traction control?? Being a 1998 model it might..
  18. By the way Kermit is going, I'm suprised that they haven't already popped out of his head :bahaha:
  19. Damn - with that sort of times, your eyes are going to be sucked into the back of your head !!! J
  20. Bahahah - you know that your a a true Skyline lover when your dreaming of them. But seriously, you'll have yourself a weapon of a car Andrew. After reading that link above, the Australian delivered STi's only have 195kw at the flywheel (that is stock), and don't come on (serious) boost untill around 4,000rpm. So for them to do anything serious they have to dump the clutch. And that link actually said that they don't know how Subaru come up with tha 0-100 time of ~5.5 sec cause they could only manage a low 6 sec. And a stock GTS-t does a mid 6 sec 0-100 !!! Once you get the launch down pat I think your going to have some fun with the STi's :uh-huh: :uh-huh: :burnout:
  21. Woooohoooo... Good one Andrew, your GTR is on it's way - well done If the STi's are anything like the WRX's, if they dump the clutch too many times they be leaving their clutch and gearbox behind them at the lights :bahaha: :bahaha: I really can't see you having a problem. You might just end up having one of the fastest cars in your town :uh-huh: :uh-huh: J
  22. Damn it - I was going to suggest a mechanical diff as a replacement. I'm glad it will be cheaper to fix that your first thought. J
  23. OMG - how the hell do you know what your doing when it's full of wierd symbols in the program ??? I wouldn't know where to start cause I can't understand a thing J
