  1. I brought this up recently at a social gathering of adults. "You don't realise how often you use maths on a day to day basis.. and how needed it is, those Math Teachers back in high school weren't lying about its practical applications" Insert examples of 2/3s of this, or roughly 15% of 650, etc. You know, rough, basic ballpark figures of shit. ...everyone looked at me like I'm some kind of wizard Genuine WTF
  2. I'm with alex on this, and I share a house. You make up with it cause the guy living with you is a mate and having a roommate you don't really need to manage and isn't a complete dropkick is actually a large advantage you don't seem to realise yet I'd say your mate has paid X for X service which he is receiving, his gf is piggybacking off what he is paying, not you, not really. If her additional presence incurs additional costs (like water, or electricity, which really is all she'd be doing) then yeah, have some additional old bills before she came along ready because that's what she's "costing" you. Living with people can turn to absolute shit pretty quick. If this is the main issue it's not really that big a problem. Right up there with "My 400RWKW car kind of uses a fair bit of fuel"
  3. Does it really? Having been to Vietnam I'd be legitimately curious! Just so I can then tailor my conversation to their part of the country
  4. In my case, stock sensor and gauge, aftermarket sensor and gauge, and the ECU temp sensor and gauge (via the ECU program) I got an oil temp sensor and gauge specifically to see what my oil temp was, because I was certain it either wasn't 65C, or if it wasn't... to find out what it was.
  5. Super keen on the results of that super T3 turbo. Just incase... you know. Upgrades.
  6. Re: Oil/Water temp Street driving my car is always 65C water temp. Oil temp will in fact go to 85C
  7. I bought a new 82c thermostat and it's clearly 65ish in the real world. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nismo thermostat is actually the 'new' standard thermostat that gets sold. At least that's whats happened to me... from buying new thermostats trying to get one that's better/higher/more suitable? than the 65c one that seems to always end up in my car. .. different radiators, too.
  8. Still keen to see how quick these things are with a set of good suspension and a mindset of making it go round a track.
  9. tbh I would think the opposite, people want max performance for whatever can be done legally. maybe I am also getting old source: getting old
  10. EVERY nfs game has this blurb.
  11. I still await a system which is quiet under vacuum but loud/louder (realistically just flows properly) on boost. Surely this can be done via some kind of solenoid that reads MAP pressure? I'd totally recommend such a system if a certain fabricator were to create one
  12. I should say my exhaust appears to be structurally sound, was made a few years ago now. I just have one half made by Scotty in Stainless and one half made by RE in Mild steel. Working anywhere near the exhaust results in so much rust in my eyes/on things that it feels like you're gonna put a finger through it. I am sure many a mild steel exhaust is fine. My approach to it is get it done once, right, though. ....this doesn't explain why I've had it done twice, but look, the logic is still sound!
  13. I don't know if its relative to my supernatural bad luck, the person who made half my exhaust, or the qualities of E85 vs Mild steel... but holy f**k rust batman. 0/10 would not Mild steel ever again.
  14. The PS2000 is actually quite an easy ECU to learn to use. I imagine any reasonable tuner with a dyno would be able to figure out the tables and how they are function in about an hour. I'd much rather be going to someone with a dyno and getting them to learn it over any kind of remote tune, ever.... unless you have plenty of reliable gauges in your car to verify the tune is close to where it needs to be. And if you have the gauges to do that.. and have the knowledge to fix whatever is incorrect.....you will be able to tune the thing on a dyno
  15. To answer further, do not go that way. SE suburbs you have two choices, really. 1) Havoc Fabrication 2) Scotty nm35 on these forums. If you'd like to see a RE/RTR exhaust vs say, a scotty nm35 exhaust, you need look no further than under my car. You will quickly see why there is no 3) in the list above.
  16. Supposedly they respond well to a little bit more boost, and BMW engines are good. 370rwkw in a 135i, with BMW everything else? 3L modern engine for dat response. Why would you ever want a R33 in relation to it other than cost? Srs question. Would strongly consider one if (when) I ever write my car off again.
  17. I know a guy who is in the market for a good 135i, srsly he is out test driving them now. What's wrong with them?
  18. I've done this twice, in two different countries... with two different people... Ask me your immigration related questions!
  19. Getting their name on a lease agreement is usually enough. The onus is on proving the relationship exists, not proving it doesn't, It is hard enough to prove it exists when you have two people trying to prove it exists, with evidence.
  20. The best comeback is to own it and carry an oar inside the car at all times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4LxPoMkoZk
  21. Black wheels certainly does look a bit strange for a work car.
  22. He should never, ever clarify and remain vague about it at all times, so it turns into a Seinfeld'esque style guessing game.
  23. +1 would review Birds food because my life is empty and I have little else to do. Also I am known to do stupid things like drive very long distances to try random things which no sane person really would. Also 2x HWP cars ignored me hard on the way home from frankston, as did a booze bus after making eye contact with the guy deciding who to wave through or not, on Springvale road. This means something will surely explode tomorrow.
  24. I do believe he meant if the price point is "there" as in 'appropriate' then people will also be "there" 2.3L turbo for 45 will result in people buying them, and muppets like me maybe buying one in 15 years maybe.
