  1. tbh I would think the opposite, people want max performance for whatever can be done legally. maybe I am also getting old source: getting old
  2. EVERY nfs game has this blurb.
  3. I still await a system which is quiet under vacuum but loud/louder (realistically just flows properly) on boost. Surely this can be done via some kind of solenoid that reads MAP pressure? I'd totally recommend such a system if a certain fabricator were to create one
  4. I should say my exhaust appears to be structurally sound, was made a few years ago now. I just have one half made by Scotty in Stainless and one half made by RE in Mild steel. Working anywhere near the exhaust results in so much rust in my eyes/on things that it feels like you're gonna put a finger through it. I am sure many a mild steel exhaust is fine. My approach to it is get it done once, right, though. ....this doesn't explain why I've had it done twice, but look, the logic is still sound!
  5. I don't know if its relative to my supernatural bad luck, the person who made half my exhaust, or the qualities of E85 vs Mild steel... but holy f**k rust batman. 0/10 would not Mild steel ever again.
  6. The PS2000 is actually quite an easy ECU to learn to use. I imagine any reasonable tuner with a dyno would be able to figure out the tables and how they are function in about an hour. I'd much rather be going to someone with a dyno and getting them to learn it over any kind of remote tune, ever.... unless you have plenty of reliable gauges in your car to verify the tune is close to where it needs to be. And if you have the gauges to do that.. and have the knowledge to fix whatever is incorrect.....you will be able to tune the thing on a dyno
  7. To answer further, do not go that way. SE suburbs you have two choices, really. 1) Havoc Fabrication 2) Scotty nm35 on these forums. If you'd like to see a RE/RTR exhaust vs say, a scotty nm35 exhaust, you need look no further than under my car. You will quickly see why there is no 3) in the list above.
  8. Supposedly they respond well to a little bit more boost, and BMW engines are good. 370rwkw in a 135i, with BMW everything else? 3L modern engine for dat response. Why would you ever want a R33 in relation to it other than cost? Srs question. Would strongly consider one if (when) I ever write my car off again.
  9. I know a guy who is in the market for a good 135i, srsly he is out test driving them now. What's wrong with them?
  10. I've done this twice, in two different countries... with two different people... Ask me your immigration related questions!
  11. Getting their name on a lease agreement is usually enough. The onus is on proving the relationship exists, not proving it doesn't, It is hard enough to prove it exists when you have two people trying to prove it exists, with evidence.
  12. The best comeback is to own it and carry an oar inside the car at all times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4LxPoMkoZk
  13. Black wheels certainly does look a bit strange for a work car.
  14. He should never, ever clarify and remain vague about it at all times, so it turns into a Seinfeld'esque style guessing game.
  15. +1 would review Birds food because my life is empty and I have little else to do. Also I am known to do stupid things like drive very long distances to try random things which no sane person really would. Also 2x HWP cars ignored me hard on the way home from frankston, as did a booze bus after making eye contact with the guy deciding who to wave through or not, on Springvale road. This means something will surely explode tomorrow.
  16. I do believe he meant if the price point is "there" as in 'appropriate' then people will also be "there" 2.3L turbo for 45 will result in people buying them, and muppets like me maybe buying one in 15 years maybe.
  17. Seems to be one of the "this can't be done" but turns out actually can be done. The concern is re: no surge slots, but it appears surge really isn't a thing when they're used out in the field.
  18. I can confirm, 100000000% that a stock S2 R34 turbo says NISSAN on the side. Source: My S2 R34 and its turbo.
  19. I saw that too, thought this is quite possibly the best looking R33GTST in history.
  20. Also my car had S15 diff, and both driveshafts. Also it was originally a N/A, so it didn't have the traction control sensors or HICAS to remove/deal with/keep working. It also had the ABS computer from a S15 installed into it. (it'd be far smarter to swap the center)
  21. This particular story has TWO broken things!
  22. Recently I broke a wheel that was lent to me after I split my own tire in half. The wheel that was messed up was a Work Emotion CR Kai. Did consider just buying a pair of rotas in the same colour, and wondering if anyone would know. There's so many that look so identical, that if you put on genuine stickers on what are essentially COMPLETE BLATANT RIP OFFS no one would know. Not realty. Enough that you'd never suspect it. Which means that if you designed these wheels, you'd be pretty angry at someone blatantly copying your product for half the price. It's wheel piracy
  23. The brochure linked is ONLY for s2 R34's. S2 R34's are pretty rare to begin with. They were only made for like 6 months, Late 2000 to early 2001. 99% (no idea on the number) of R34's are S1's. I've had both diffs (well, I had a S15 diff, but its the same center...) and I actually prefer the VLSD... when it's working as the one in my car was/is in good condition (for now). The predictability was really quite noticeably better than the Helical diff, which likes to inside spin REAL easy, which isn't really a problem at 150rwkw with good tyres, but dial it up to 400 then try and take a corner under power and then you'll find the back end being nice and unpredictable which is quite undesirable.
  24. Signifigantly more awesome, too
  25. I was 8 hours north of Hanoi, in Ha Giang. So not much traffic out there. DO NOT RIDE ANYTHING NEAR HANOI OR HCMC, sweet jesus f**k. Also Hue. Hue is somehow worse than anything because they don't all have god given bike skillz like they do in the first two places I warned in huge capitals to not ride a bike in.
