  1. Meh, everything can always be better but the question is one of economics and whether it is actually worth the time and money.
  2. I designed a mining conveyor for use in arctic climates, used chevron gears. Worked in theory
  3. It isn't that straight cut (haha get it ?) you can't really say they are ~30% stronger, there are upsides to helical gearsets other than reduced noise. for example a helical gearface actually has a greater meshing contact area to distribute forces more evenly (we are speaking relatively about the gear sizes themselves obviously) helical gearsets are also more robust when you're considering axial loading.
  4. what did it set you back wolverine if you don't mind me asking ?
  5. They ruined the track years ago.
  6. That's true, Nissan makes those.
  7. Slower then a commodore in a straight line and probably slower around the track... sports... car ?
  8. I didn't know they were out there today.
  9. Years of acting like a shitflamin mongrel is coming back to bite him.
  10. When you are talking about such thin sections of aluminium the weight difference is negligible when you factor in the relative cost and ease of manufacture it brings.
  11. Is this like the black and white cookie episode of seinfeld ?
  12. Yeah, How do you use the multibet ?, It won't seem to let me make multi bets with the F1. I am the same Lol, been winning but haven't actually made a withdrawal, I try to grow the balance by about %20 a round.
  13. Hopefully he chokes on whatever black gladius he is deepthroating at the time.
  14. The stupidity on that site sometimes... There is a thread on this in the Suspension forum as well guys for those who want to do more reading. With a couple of other competitors, the FULL RACE one looks to be the goods to my mind. I'm going to get one when my car is back together.
  15. Le sportsbet ?
  16. multibet ? haha
  17. I have made money two GP's in a row now, Ferrari and RBR bringing home the love.
  18. Competitors cannot be blamed for having ugly or extensively developed aero packages, the problem is fundamental to the regulations. designers and builders would be remiss to not attempt to eek every possible advantage. However I always thought time attack was more of a production based event, similar in many respects to Grp A and various touring car series around the world. This isn't a stab at the event or organisers or the competitors, I went last year, loved it and I am going this year as well.
  19. There's aero, and there there is AERO.
  20. What do you think about that FULL RACE one I posted up above duncan ? I did a bit of reading and looks like it might be a good piece of kit.
  21. Honestly with skylines they get stolen often because they hold very high chop value. Have a think about all the stuff you've done to your car, then add up the value of all these parts a pretty normalish street GT-R could probably be wrecked for 10 - 15k easily, and they are not hard to steal. Just ask Chris Rogers to show you how easy it is to get into one(I'm glad he is in the car security business and not the other way around!), one of the reasons I will be getting a good security system as soon as my build is finished. Best advice, make your car as hard to steal as possible. that is the deterrent. proper car thieves can steal a car without making a sound. I had a mate who lost a very expensive 180SX this way while he slept not 3 meters from it.
  22. Tilton tested recently, interested to see the times. Interested to see what the all carbon Evo from up here is doing out at QR.
