  1. ok- So ive read through this..... No mention on the Oil pump i have- HKS. i understand the whole bigger pump mean picking up more oil therefore leaving less in the sump Alot of this seem to be mentioned with track cars and 7k rmp + I have a stock baffled sump, and supposedly Tomei oil gallery orifice, im just not to sure if this will casue any issues? and i would be better of with a stock pump- Keeping in mind this is street driven so wont be seeing the load that the avg track car gets.
  2. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/410614-apexi-el2-guages-boost-oil-temp-oil-pressure/page__p__6559210#entry6559210 These ones, If i went single like that id make sure they are 52mm so i can fit then into my own DIN cluster. I always thought water temp was a bit of a gimic, Like the Exhaust temp guages? pretty sure the PFC and others read water temp. Oil temp would be good, but the only reason i havent grabed a Unit yet is i cant decide what i want, When i get the car back im hoping the Profec B 2 Reads boost well enought to not need a stand alone boost guage. How much is fuel pressure affected for street driving?
  3. Another very valid point- in the PDS. You are NOT covered For non-standard accessories you have fitted to your car. you ARE Covered If you have told us and we have agreed in writing to cover these accessories ive seen quite a few people on here say they dont disclose any mods- all fine and well untill something happens, And your the suker paying thousands for full comp.
  4. http://www.justcarinsurance.com.au/third-party-property-damage-fire-theft-car-insurance something like this would be good to look into, Still covered for other peoples cars and also up to 10k market value. And if they had salvage rights your cheering. more then likey what il be looking into.
  5. i didnet think nrma insured grey imports? or does the R34 not fall under this? When looking for insurance, Its always good to sus the company is how they go come time to claim- I know even with alot of life insurance we sell at work- Yes the premuims may be quite a bit cheaper for a select few , But come time to claim, You sepnd forever trying to get the money your intitled to. End of the day, there a company and they are there to make a profit.
  6. mainly becasue i like how neat it all is, And keeps everything off the dash and pillars.
  7. Joey there a set of 52mm Apexi guages in the for sale thread - I still havent grabbed any but i think when i do il bite the bullet and go for the DEFI singe DIN tripple cluster unit.
  8. so your car is written off as it will cost more to repair then the aggreed value? say they give you 10k - but theres 15k worth of parts you can sell off. Pretty much meaning with the 3k insurance you paid. your at a loss in any case would you not get the car lookied at first before actaully making a claim? therefore if you know its a write off, YOu can keep your no claim bonus. Keep your wreck and sell it for parts.
  9. mabey keep your sideways action off the street next time........
  10. bit more top end

  13. dont know if id really trust my 15yr old airbag......Can these things be tested? would be good to know since its there anyway
  14. Yer not worth the hassles, though i do admit, the steering wheels is quite big and bulky.
  15. Good question, tbh I dont know if I put a push or pull type in my 33 gts4
  16. Looks- Always personal preferance, Eg i cant stand the look of the 34, History, we all recpet the original godzilla ( dosent mean we all want one), And weight. As you said, Who cares unless your a dedicated track driver really?
  17. Yes, That was the original intention, But decided to try my luck here first. Before venturing out into the barron lands
  18. lol, End of the day the car is for a mate, ive gone through all the hassles with my rb26 and not to keen on doing it again. and almost wish at time si did the same with my car, Heres the bloody cash. Build the car and il see you in a few weeks
  19. majority in this section seem to be 25/30 ect Think it will be best off taking the money down to a select workshop and saying, make me go fast
  20. Opps Im sure i made the thread in that section- Mods could we move this please?
  21. Hi all, Another little project has popped up. This time it’s a Rb30DET, 100% stock with 240k on the clock. I have done a quick search but really don’t have the time to dig deep like I did with my rb26 conversion, which as much as I learnt it was a couple years of pulling my hair out haha. This is were your experience comes in Stock SL Rb30DET Keep in mind mods to accommodate this will be for a street driven car only, No massive turbo and nothing over the top. This car is daily driven and needs to be reliable Budget is $10,000 and looking to be in the workshop next week. Go!
