So I Un-Turbo'd My R32 Gtst And Its Running Rich
sydking replied to IM-32-FK's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The 2.5 L RB25 engine was produced in four forms: RB25DE - NON-TURBO twin-cam 140 kW/190 PS (180 - 200 hp ) @ 6000 rpm, 255 N·m (26.0 kgf·m) @ 4000 rpm) RB25DET - twin-cam TURBO (T3 Turbo) (245 to 250 hp and 319 N·m) NEO RB25DE- NON-TURBO twin-cam 147 kW/200 PS @ 6000 rpm, 255 N·m (26.0 kgf·m) @ 4000 rpm) NEO RB25DET - twin-cam TURBO (206 kW (280 PS) @ 6400 rpm, 362 N·m (37.0 kgf·m) @ 3200 rpm) RB25DE and DET engines produced from August 1993 also featured NVCS (Nissan Variable Cam System) for the intake cam. This gave the new RB25DE more power and torque at lower rpm than the previous model. From 1995,(Series 2 Engines) both the RB25DE and RB25DET had a revised electrical system and the turbo charger on the RB25DET(s2) had a plastic compressor wheel rather than aluminium. The most obvious change to the system was the introduction of ignition coils with built in ignitors, therefore the coil ignitor that was on previous models was not used. Other changes were, different air flow meter, engine ecu, cam angle sensor and throttle position sensor. Mechanically series 1 and series 2 very similar, the only mechanical difference would be the Camshafts as the series 2 Cam Angle Sensor's shaft that goes into the Exhaust cam is slightly different. This is very important to not mistake! In May 1998 a NEO head was fitted, which enabled the engine to be classified as a low emission vehicle (LEV) engine due to their lower fuel consumption and emission output. The NEO head featured solid lifters rather than hydraulic, revised camshafts, with on/off solenoid Variable VCT , used a hotter 82°c thermostat, model specific coil packs and a revised inlet manifold (the runner diameter is reduced from 50mm to 45mm to increase air velocity and low end torque) in particular the RB25DE NEO which had 2 inlets going into the inlet manifold. The combustion chamber of the head is smaller so GT-R spec connecting rods are used to compensate as well as model specific pistons. The turbo received the larger OP6 turbine which some came with steel compressor and turbine wheels, where others had the Nylon plastic compressor wheel and ceramic turbine wheel. Some also used an N1 type oil pump and had the oil pump drive collar on the crank revised to help cope with the breakage problems associated with fast, high revs. All in all they are quite a different engine in their own right - a culmination of 20 years of Nissan RB engine building rolled into one. The non-VCT, non-turbo RB25DE was fitted to the R32 Skyline, the VCT turbo and non-turbo was fitted to R33 Skylines and the WC34 Stagea. Early R34 Skylines use the non NEO RB, later models use the NEO version. R32 Skyline RB25DE Camshaft duration 240°in, 232°ex lift: 7.8mm in, 7.3mm ex R33 Skyline RB25DE Camshaft duration 240°in, 240°ex lift: 7.8mm in, 7.8mm ex RB25DET Camshaft duration 240°in, 240°ex lift: 7.8mm in, 7.8mm ex RB25DE NEO Camshaft duration 236°in, 232°ex lift: 8.4mm in, 6.9mm ex RB25DET NEO Camshaft duration 236°in, 232°ex lift: 8.4mm in, 8.7mm ex -

Yes i did re read that? Not sure what your implying, You mention you dont want to go Rb25de becuase you will have to pay thousands for a cirtificate, I said, They came stock with the Rb25de in some year makes, Therefore there is nothing to engineer. Mate, Were trying to help here... Chill out. its friday god dammit -

You would find that the R32 also came stock rb25de. Therefore you will not need an engineers cirt. -

haha, hit a sore point did i mate? Sorry, your car is not rare. But... What you could do.Is grab a NA rb25de for Say $500, Bolt it in. Not only will you have a stock DE motor, But will be able to enjoy the extra .5 Lt. Win win is it not? Otherwise you could spend money on what you currently have....And still be drving around in a low comp 2L NA -

far out, I never thought people actaully bought these bars. Bag of natural or flavoured WPC, $20 from bulk nutirents. + your prefered carb source and flavourings, i do them at 30g protien per bar, Which make about 26 bars in total. Works out about 70c per bar. Win win, And if you wanna get real trickey, Get a bag of casien protien for that slow release night time bar Not to mention the amazing FLUFF that can be made.

an NA that piks up after 5500. Far out. your on p's by the sound of it? the only money id spend on that is to get a rb25de and bolt in. you think there is an ECU? is this car on bricks? -

haha i done syndey traffic in a truck for 1 1/2 years. not fun. and even more so when you have 5 tonn of steel loaded on the back and people insist on cutting me off like i can stop as quick as your little corolla, Would of been a nice wake up call when ive flatened you. Really made me open my eyes and be much more aware though.

cool, ive got the same model, 2007 Crdi elite desiel turbo. http://www.eurodb.com.au/used-car-Specification/HYUNDAI/SANTA-FE/ELITE-CRDi-(4x4)/2007/H3707G/ specs say 2 tonn braked weight is MAX- say trailer is 750, and the car is 1.5 tonn- thats a fair bit over in my books but will be driving accordingly.

few the toe ball capcity is 150kg, doing a bit of reading, They say that raiting should indicate the max about 10%, Ie max toe is 1500kg with a toe ball raiting of 150kg.

i will find out the exact model when i get home. but if i have the righ tone, from specs Tow capacity 2000kg braked, 750kg unbraked. Ball weight 150kg. are these trailers you boys are using braked ones?
