  1. just root it and you can put any OS on it....
  2. I just went to clark rubber and got some 2mm x5mm self adheasive rubber and trimed it it a 1meter metal ruler & hobby knife and it appears to work fine. not sure about the timing cover as mine was for the spark plug cover
  3. Jez, Its a Nistune, I have replaced the TPS and the problem appears to have gone now. Originally i was getting somewhere in the vicinty of 2.35v at idle on the TPS and now i get .5v. I still have a slightly high idle though and played around with the sliding of the TPS. This was dicovered by removing the plugs on the TPS and suddenly it would go out of Limp mode... food for thoughht though i guess. Darren
  4. R31Nismoid, Nay dont have powerfc . I have a Nistune so no display. It only comes up on my ecutalk which shows several voltages temps etc. There was no error codes except for this "Fuel Temp Sensor" which I really dont have any knowledge what it is or even what it does Dazza
  5. yeah , sorry for the late reply (went out) looks like the TPS can infact cause the car to go into limp mode. My ecutalk confirmed the voltage at idle some 0.5volts whereas before was somthing in the 2.5volts. so thanks heaps guys .Looks like we will have to all remember this in future .... Check AFM ... Check TPS if you are limping.... regards, Darren
  6. visited Scotty again and resoldered in a new AFM plug as the old one had residue (oxidation) on contacts but didnt fix it. Unpluged the TPS and hello......it can rev past 2000. Looks like the TPS maybe shot. This may be a give away due to the car idleing high most of the time around 1700-2000... off home and swap it over with my spare and will let you know how it goes... I was always suss with it anyway as the vollage was always high in it 2.5v or there abouts on idle... Dazza pm'd artz & sunkist who were over at Scotties....
  7. It gets to 2000rpm then cuts and drops done to somthing like 1000 imagine brp brp brp if i hold it WOT, ie it would kill then climb back up the kill etc Oh also it dosnt matter if your in gear or just revving it in neutral darren
  8. Help needed urgently........... Guys i believe that my car has gone into limp mode , ie not revving past 2000rpm. Now I went to Scott's place and we did the solder trick on the socket of the AFM (Z32) and swapped it with another one he had at the time and still didnt fix it . we suspected maybe that AFM may of been faulty. Strangely this wouldnt happen cold and would only occur when the car was warmed up and ONLY when restarted ie drive for xkm and then stop and then restart the problem would occur (but not always). Anyway its been fine for a week or too and in the meantime i bought another z32 AFM as a spare just in case. I decided to change it and it happened last night on the way home (car not warmed up) Now it happend first time this morning again fine for about 1 minute getting out of garage and up the street and the friggin thing is doing it again.... Does anyone have any idea what I can do as this is driving me NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards, Draren

  10. I just hacksawed the rear bend of the cover which allowed me to slide the cover in no probles. just had to under 1 end of the breather pipe... easy as
  11. Callan thanks dude.... I thought that they did the low beams and I originally had a an r32 headlight which was quite different ie 2 adjustments per light (maybe up/down & left/right) Darren
  12. Damm.. i shone a torch down there but couldnt see anything, you sure you done have to take the light out for it. there was a screw mechanism on the top but it didnt seem to do anything when i had the lights on...
  13. Guys, need some advice on how to adjust the high beams on my car. I can see the low beam bolts (2) but cant see the highs which is what i need to adjust as they point to the heavens. Also seen the r32 diy but i dont appear to have those geared wheels on mine or at least cant see them without takeing off the headlight which seems pointless.. any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Darren
  14. Guys, is there an r33 headlight adjustment DIY as I have looked and found a 32 one but my headlight is diferent with regards to the High beams which is what I want to adjust as they point to the sky. I can see the 2 low beams bolts and thats easy but what about the high's. The r32 has 2 geared wheels which appear to brake after age ... Also of note is that i cant see how you could adjust them in situ for the high beams.....lows would be fine though. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Darren
  15. Is that my intake pipe you made before Scott? lol +1 for hard induction pipe....Scotts ya man!!!! Darren
  16. yes a stupid question but i need to ask. My coil cover isnt ont my car and has been sitting in the garage for years , but all the foam/rubber had deteriated around the edge so I have just bought some rubber and stuck it on but was wondering do you have to take the intake to the throttle body off to fit it as I have never put one on or off for that matter?\ hopefully just slide it through Regards, Darren
  17. WIll do it on friday as I am off then Scott, will report back what the ecu talk reads then. Cant be bothered at the moment as when i get back home from work just cant be f$%^&d lol too cold also as I need your heater man...lol Just curious though like we said it seem to happen when cold and when restarted so I wonder what happens if i dont restart ie go to work as I am presently? Dazza
  18. no prob's either Scott on the way home. it may be the plug . not sure if you can pull the wire out of them or not to resolder
  19. Damm Brett, would of been over there if only I had seen your post. Thanks anyway for the offer though mate as I just just picked up both AFM & TPS. Now when i went for a drive and fanged it to warm it up to operating temp 80degrees or so and its now not doing the 2000rpm cut WTF? I at least have these spares now so that when it starts i can change one at a time to see if it fixes the fault Does anyone know exactly the operating voltage for the z32 AFM & TPS for Ign, Idle & WOT (R33 GTST SERIES II) Thanks, Darren
  20. Can someone please advise me what voltages should be diplay at the following... TPS Ign on?, idle?, WOT? Z32 AFM Ign on?, idle?, WOT? Just want to eliminate all possibilities Regards & thanks, Darren
  21. Unfortunately I dont know of anyone with a spare Z32 AFM to swap & check. But if anyone reads this and is willing to let me test this out for 10mins I would be very gratefull.. I live in Cranbourne. The idle has always been a little high & I need to cleen my AAC as sometimes it gets upwards of 1800 or so (another problem)
  22. any in the SE suburbs available to borrow a TPS for 5mins to check out my car? Have a problem with the car not revving past 2000rpm & have changed the AFM (Z32) and now suspecting its the TPS.. Regards, Darren Cranbourne
  23. Scott your a bloody legend mate... Now do you want just the AFM itself or so you need the plug as well? darren
  24. Guys, Looking for some advice. My car did this last week after getting fuel (98)/ It woulnt rev past 2000rpm no matter if you selected any gear/neautral.I Suspected fuel but now I am not sure as its spot on 2000rpm and when you hit that limit it drops down to say 1000rpm and goes back up. Anyway I went to show my next door neighbour whos a mechanic after it had been sitting for a while (maybe 1/2 hour) as he suspected an air leak but it ran fine a didnt do it at all. Now that was a week ago and its been fine since then but low & behold it started today.. It started fine and i drove done the shops 10 mins so the car wasnt evenn warm. Stoped in that shop for 15mins & started again for 5 mins in another shop and when I got in again then it started just checked the temp and it got to 68 degrees so not even fully warm I have cleaned the AFM & connector with contact cleaner as I suspect something along this line but I am by no mean mechanically minded.I am not sure what should happen even if you unplug the AFM while running? Now the car has the following mods... Nistune Z32 ECU Z32 AFM 660 injectors SS1pu Turbo Solid turbo inlet piping (made by Scotty) to air box (hopefully see him tonight to resolder AFM plug wires??) Yellow Jacket coils Throw some ideas at me please? Regards, Darren Ps:attached a short video of whats happening when just revving the car in neautral Car Rev.wmv
