  1. lol 'natural' oil haha would you put that in your diesel stagea??
  2. to be honest they wanted a REAL test of engine oils, the engines wouldnt even be in a car, they would be operating at the perfect temp in a lab, breathing in the prefect temperature air with perfect humidity etc. and they would be checked by and engine dyno. there are too many variables while the engine is in a car. like air change, heat soak, like cam said, the position of the fan could affect it!
  3. if you havent removed a steering wheel before, be VERY careful and dont remove the nut completely before you attempt to remove the wheel. leave it on a few turns so it doesnt smack you in the face when youre wiggling it off!
  4. i have to admit my SR20 sounded much beter with the nulon, and being that they were around the corner from my old work, we got wholesale rates right from the warehouse. also, they couldnt have been nicer and done more for us..... even just using the engine oil additive (with another brand oil) made the engine so much quieter. also +1 for thei manual gearbox additive. i had problems getting it into 6th gear when the gearbox wasnt up to temp. this 'fixed' the problem and also made it run cooler!! i guess being that it reduces friction. maybe ill try their automatic transmission additive too? personally im a big fan of nulons products (i use their engine oil flush every change) so im with cam and i would love their stuff to be better........
  5. i went to my regular place for oil etc on the weekend, and the $45 5L oil that i used to get is now $75!!!!!!! wtf is with the prices???
  6. they sound very similar, i guess higher up in the rev range and with a bit of load there might be a difference. the second one is slightly different, but id put that down to it not being at operating temperature
  7. sounds to me like no BOV at all. an HKS SS is high pitched!
  8. So I was having a chat to a mate who is an electronics guru. I told him how the ecu is programmed to control the throttle of the car, dependant on load and throttle position (the pedal) and explained how i want the throttle open MORE than the ECU is telling it to, by a percentage. He seems quite interested in doing this and this may improve engine response for us all. I guess my car will be the guinea pig (lucky i have a spare TB for him to muck around with - and break if needs be) once he has something. I just want to see who else might be interested, and also work out and scenarios this would be bad. I think during cruise (so an imput while cruise is on to not affect the throttle position), but have nothing else. Im hoping to make it adjustable, as a percentage of the throttles actual position. ie, 10% more, 20%more. The difference between this and the other kits out there now, is that they affect the TPS (throttle pedal) and not the actual throttle position of the engine like this kit will do. Any ideas or comments??? this would be V35 and Z33 compatible as well i guess..........
  9. or fix the control arm you bent when you hit the gutter a few nights back when you were drifting
  10. razor blade, scrape it off carefully..........
  11. custom made? too pricey?
  12. what you gonna drive till next year if you pop it now id really be interested to see how much boost they CAN safely take. if nissan havent changed much, then 20psi is probably possible assuming the tune is done well
  13. IM?? and how hard would it be?? clutch system and pedal can be taken from the V35 manual versions. where is their handbrake??
  14. just make sure the engine can take that sort of boost! dont wanna go bang! not yet anyway haha
  15. ill be home tomorrow late morning if you wanna come around mate
  16. i would have to agree, i had a loaner R33 sedan with hicas, and for a big heavy car, this thing handled quite well and could be easily thrown around. i have no idea why people complain about hicas so much. i think they hear that one person doesnt like it and calls it useless, then it MUST be. if it WAS useless, car manufacturers wouldnt be equipping cars with it.......
  17. they changed that on S13s with the Super HICAS, it became electric on SR20 equipped model
  18. just get a lightened flywheel while its all off........
  19. ouch!!! bigger = laggy. not good for the street mate! i like the gearbox lol looks very light!
  20. i have pants on today. but only today!!
  21. hey im not that hairy!!! just watch out, i have this ring that makes me invisible!
  22. im not a girl cam, did you think i was? if i was a fatty, i would have put moobs and not boobs
  23. i guess its a heavier car, and you might be able to adjust the dampers to 'soften' the ride a little....... i still think its gonna be a teeth rattler and a boob hurter. my yellow s15 had effing hard suspension and no girl would get in it as it really hurt their boobs. you dont wanna risk that in your shagin wagon
  24. lets have 5 more pages of guesses............
  25. 10/8? thats gonna be VERY firm you know?
