  1. I have sourced some R34 wheels (thanks IceDuck!), and stock suspension (thanks AboBob!), but can't find a stock R34 exhaust anywhere! I have called literally 30 different places and tried everyone, but to no avail. The car is going to have to sit around until I can find one
  2. yeah many pics would be good. [email protected] What if I go to install it and there are bits missing? Hmmmm how would I even know what to look for? I guess if you disconnected everything then it would be complete. Do you know roughly how many wires/different places you disconnected things from to remove?
  3. ah shit sorry mate - meant to ring you. Can't come up - we are fully booked on the weekend - it is a bugger of a month for Birthdays etc. I forgot you are in Mildura - wondered why you hadn't been banging down my door for some pool and jamesons
  4. Brand new in box, just purchased off a reputable Ebay trader for a client - but no longer needed. High performance 3D accelerator video card. Has VGA, DVI and s-video outputs. High performance heatsink with fan. Bargain, $95 delivered anywhere in Australia. US$129 rrp http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9600/rad...0pro/index.html http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9600/rad...ro/reviews.html
  5. If the mit350 comes with the full harness - ready to fit, then I'll take it. PM me your bank details and total cost to ship to Northgate, SA, 5085. Thanks, Andrew
  6. I will hopefully find out tomorrow - but I have already resigned myself to the fact that my stereo is probably gone.
  7. damn, I might need one to butcher to fit my R34 for compliance yet
  8. yeah I couldn't believe it either! Really caught me off guard though - as I am still sourcing stock bits to change over before compliance. It will have to sit in under my rear verandah until I get all the bits sorted and take it in for compliance. I might even just leave it sitting until I sell my S15. My customs agent told me this arvo it should be ready to pick up tomorrow.
  9. do you know how much one is looking at to get a stock Skyline turbo high-flowed Joel? My Neo turbo also has the plastic impeller - I wonder what the cost would be to change it to a steel one?
  10. nice .... what are his mods?
  11. you really have too much time on your hands Julian
  12. No come back at all. I thought it would ony be on the docks a week too, but customs and quarantine have held the boatload mine came on for some reason. Nothing I can do except wait for my customs broker to tell me when it's ready.
  13. here's a quick mock-up of my idea - thanks the basis Joolz
  14. nice Julian, but you have to incorporate the R34 stove-tops somehow imho. You might want to try grab the SKYLINE writing off the back of a car as the font for 'Skyline' too. Just some thoughts. Suggestion pics attached.
  15. sorry Duc, I have ordered one from Chapman already
  16. yeah FMICs don't improve performance - if anything they degrade performance slightly, as they make cars a little more laggy (due to the car having to pressurise a larger volume before making boost). But, they are vital if you want to up boost, and they lower the intake charge temperature to help prevent pinging.
  17. this is the sticker Miss33 had made up for our display at Small Car Sunday a couple of years ago. It is still on my car and going strong!
  18. writeoff - I just happen to have a ProfecB controller in my garage - I have been looking for someone to sell it to How does $100 sound?
  19. I agree Ash. I hope to be getting one of these for my R34 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...5785448387&rd=1
  20. lol - what 'management', and how? First thing you have to do in reporting a crime is prove when and where the stuff was stolen. You CANNOT buy insurance to cover your items in the car, simply no-one will offer it for any price. Do you have any idea how insecure the holding yards are in Japan, how many people will drive it and have access to it? Then how many people will drive and have access to it on the ship and in ports? Then how many people have access to it when it lands here. Mine will be sitting on the docks at North Haven for 3 weeks by the time I get to pick it up - any ideas how many people have access to it there? Sorry, but you are absolutely kidding yourself if you think anything of value will make it. If it does it's just a bonus. You just have to accept that that's the way things are. The guys who work the docks jokingly call it 'wharf tax'. Like I said, a guy on ns.com was actually bragging about receiving stolen goods from the cars on the wharves.
  21. mmmm bbq cooked marinated steak with onions
  22. The big problem is that almost all car carriers coming to Australia stop at Singpore or another Asian port, and often cars switch ships. So you have many people having access to the cars during the voyage, and even if the car makes it in 1 piece to Adelaide, often the cars sit at Outer Harbour/North Haven (like mine has for the past 2 weeks), where countless people also have access to them.
  23. My brother-in-law has some stockies in his shed, but tyres are crap. I am sure he would lend them to you, but you'd have to find some 2nd hand rubber to put on them. I have some stock 16" S15 wheels that you can buy (if they would do) - 2 have brand new tyres and the other 2 tyres are just roadworthy. $700 (the 2 new tyres cost $220 each - they have never been driven on).
  24. Sorry mate, but it's to be expected. My R34 has a nice double din stereo in it (well it did when it left Japan), but I hold little hope of it still being in the car when I pick it up. There was a thread about this on ns.com recently, and some d!ckhead was boasting about how his uncle works on the wharves and he gets free/cheap stuff off him that he steals. Needless to say the guy got flamed like hell, as most people lose something in transit, and it just plain sucks. I know of one guy that had all of the stock items that were included with the car in the boot lifted. Understandably he was very cranky.
