  1. akeenan .... can you ehlp with the supension reference? We couldn't understand exactly what it says.
  2. is there any easy way to search Japan Ebay in English?
  3. got some new pics of the GT's 'pink bits', the 'blue beast' and my 'for sale' baby .... taken yesterday on my camera phone ....
  4. Sam, I know it is a hard question, but can you ballpark me the last option - fix say 6 small pin dents/scratches, lightly sand back whole car, touch up repair work black (as a base), then 2 coats of harlequin, 2 coats of clear? Just roughly, assuming I help you sand and its a private job .... also could you sort of ballpark quote it as an official job through your work (including GST) - as it's a work car I get the tax benefit that way .... I won't hold you to it - just wanna know roughly. This is all pie in the sky stuff ... but it's nice to dream
  5. hey Sam - I am not going to do it soon, but assuming my R34 4 door's paint was in v.good condition, and seeing that it's black already - would it be possible to do a light rub down and do some minor pin dent/scratch repairs, then do a couple of coats of midnight purple over the top? Or would it need to be rubbed right back anyhow like for a complete respray? And/or, are there any other options to freshen up paint to brand new, like adding a couple of coats of clear or something? Also, a few years ago I saw a car in Adelaide that was painted dark purple, then the clear coat had a harlequin type sprinkle actually in the clear coat. Is that easy to do over an existing colour?
  6. yeah, but it will look awesome when it's finished - and if you took it to a crash repairer it would cost you $2k+ for an inferior quality job. Yeah, Will isn't too much of a drinker these days, so he is normally happy to be nominated driver!
  7. We went to the Sea and Vines festival at McLaren Vale yesterday = damn hungover today!! (poor Chops was nominated driver). We left home for the Vale yesterday morning at around 7:30am, then headed back to a mate's place at Sheidow Park afterwards to continue drinking, and we got home around 11pm - was a bloody long day. I lost count of how many bottle of wine I drank .... and I might have had a little vomit around 2:30am this mornning too
  8. yep, either of you guys are most welcome to have my S15 in your garage .... I just need around $37k deposit Nah it's not really nerve-racking waiting .... I am a bit excited about its arrival, but will be much more excited when it is actually here .... also I will be very sad when the S15 is sold, so I am not in any real hurry to sell it
  9. The 34 left Nagoya Friday week ago, so should be here in the next 2-4 weeks, depending on shipping transfers, wharfies, customs procedures etc .... then I have to stock it out for compliance, they keep it for 2 weeks compliancing it, then it will be on the road. So my S15 goes in and gets some mechanical things perfected tomorrow, then gets a new clutch, then I will put it on the market. I hope to sell it before my 34 is on the road, as I don't have the garage space for both of them!
  10. yes, yes we should!!!
  11. yep, that's exactly what I'll be doing. Is his a 4-door or coupe?
  12. cool thanks, so there is definitely some reference to aftermaket suspension. This is important for me to know, as I need to stock the car out before compliance .... so I will buy some to change over. Can anyone do a more accurate translation of the 'unknown' Kanji?
  13. incorrect popeye - my 4 door R34GTT is getting complied by Best Enterprises when it arrives in the next 3-4 weeks. They have plates available, and for the 4 door version (I assume 2 door is the same), the cost is $5,200 including GST, and that includes an $1,100 allowance new 17" tyres (the tyres HAVE to be absolutely brand new). I have paid a deposit and it is all organised already, so they DEFINITELY do it. Call Joanne Easterbrook 8262 6055, they are at 75 Churchill Rd North, Dry Creek. I found a place in Brisbane that can do it for $3,850 (without tyres), but the cost of trucking etc is not worth the small saving. Let him know that the car has to be COMPLETELY stock to go through compliancing - COMPLETELY STOCK - no ifs, ands, or buts. Subsequently I have tracked down some stock R34GTT wheels (thanks mxtcy), stock suspension (from Abo Bob), and am still looking for a stock 4-door exhaust. I am personally going to pick up the car from the wharfs, take it home and stock it out, then deliver it to Best Enterprises for compliancing. I think as part of the process they send it through Regency for you, so the car is ready to register when you get it back. The whole process takes around 2 weeks, and Best Enterprises have to get plate approval etc from Canberra, so need 2-3 weeks notice before they are allowed to touch the car.
  14. cool thanks, what about the bottom half? I really want to know what it says to the left of the picture of the car. I think they are positives and negatives? Someone that had a look at the auction sheet for me and said it says aftermaket suspension somewhere - can anyone confirm this? Thanks
  15. not that I care (since they are only going to be in for compliance then my aftermarket ones will be going in), but how many km had your car done when you got it, and have you noticed them sagging in height at all, or not being as firm as original? Reason I ask is because I have an S15 that I bought brand new, and at around 50,000km I noticed the rear had dropped about an inch and they certainly roll more going around corners.
  16. cool - I take it the shocks/springs are in good condition (not leaking or anything), as I need them to get through a compliance and government inspection. Great mate, I'll take them for sure (assuming they are in ok condition). How much did you get for the exhaust (as a price guide)? Cheers, let me know the second they are off the car - apparently my car has already left Japan, so my car is only a few weeks off. I can dd you the money as soon as they are ready to send! Anyone else got an exhaust/know where I could find one?
  17. Hi, I have just bought an R34 from Nagoya and it is on a boat on its way to Aus as we speak. I know some details, but love for someone to fully translate the auction sheet - there are bits I don't know. Here it is, with lines to help me distinguish which words are which, for you to edit and repost. I particularly want the pros and cons translated, and all of the features. All info would be appreciated! Thanks A link to the car if you wish to have a gander! here (click) - can anyone ID the mags?
  18. I am sure any exhaust workshop that is half decent could modify the exhaust to make it fit. Wouldn't cost you much at all, I would think. Go ask someone like Everlast at Ridgehaven. I was told that the 4 door exhaust is only 40mm longer than the 2 door one, but mount points are different - this is very easily recified though! Then you can sell/loan me your stocker
  19. cool, sounds good! I guess transport is the next problem .... I might do some research. I am in Adelaide if you didn't know You don't still have your stock exhaust too by any chance do you?
  20. damn, this is an ugly hour to be out of bed Duc
  21. awesome - the sooner I can get it the better. How many km has it done, and how much do you want for it Bob? Anyone else got these bits?
  22. Wanted to preferably borrow/hire, but may buy these STOCK items. Need them to get the car through compliance. I am in Adelaide, but can pay for shipping. There must be tons of this near worthless gear around the place Thanks!
  23. anyone else speak Japanese or know someone that does? I have had some help, but need a better/more thorough translation.
  24. done deal - thanks Darren. Enjoy!
  25. you'll find PowerFCs with hand controller delivered for around $1,000 through traders on nissansilvia.com, and Ebay is your best bet for a Hybrid FMIC if you want a cheaper option cooler (I have one of these and they are great) - I think kits with piping are going for around the $900 mark atm.
