  1. nah sorry sidrr20, I will already be bringing back more than my allowable amount of tax free goods, plus won't have rrom in my suitcase. You can already mail order it on the net for postage on 6th Sept - which would probably beat me home anyhow.
  2. MADGT4 thanks for the heads up about Torrent sites (which I hadn't heard of before) - I am now using Azureus and it is awesome - pretty steady 20-40kb/s downloads.
  3. I haven't got it installed, but I would be up for some DC (haven't played it for ages but enjoy the game). I have an AGP 64Mb GeForce4 MX440 laying around here somewhere u can borrow or buy if u want. Your system parameters are ok, except for the video card. Although, I think it would run on the 16Mb card if you turn off all detail and play in 640x480.
  4. I didn't make it at all today due to work, and I probably won't be in there by 12 tomorrow, as I have to work in the morning. Can we make it at 1pm though - which is straight after the Supercars 2nd Practice. Can we meet where u said then?
  5. actually it is likely we will be playing CS:S .... but we can crank up an older version if it suits you. Other games are of course welcome to be played if they take your fancy.
  6. as I said before, it is released in the US on Sept. 6th, (and I will just happen to be in New York at that time )
  7. Due to the clash with Diggity's Birthday and waning interest, this event is cancelled. *** CANCELLED *** Sorry chaps, but it is just not gonna happen. Ah well, see you all at go-karting in May
  8. We could do both - I could set up a lan in my family room and put GT4 on the projector in the formal lounge. Can also put on a drifting DVD on the TV in most rooms too. I suggest Saturday 16th April, as I can get rid of the wife for the night (she'll be at a hens night) Who's interested?
  9. I'm almost certain it is released on DVD in the US on 6th September
  10. Greg - I use Kazaa, or I believe you can download them at TV Episode for a membership fee (but I haven't tried this). always_me - sorry mate can't/won't sell them or reproduce them .... not legal in any way, shape or form. Downloading them is bad enough, but they are for personal use only - not to make money out of.
  11. I have now downloaded up to episode 18 (the current US episode) of Lost in widsescreen HD. Is anyone keen on having a bit of a big screen Lost marathon? I think it is an awesome show, and watching them without ads and in high quality is very cool indeed. My projector isn't HD, but I am sure the picture would still be comparable to DVD. Anyone keen?
  12. yeah I used to play in Darwin for "[TOB]" The Old Bastards, then gave it a rest when I moved back to Adelaide, but started up again when Source came out and I got 1.5Mb ADSL Our clan is [nAp] Not a Problem .... we are all hacks and just plain suck, but have fun nonetheless. Haven't bought GT4 yet - just haven't had the time to go out and buy it (nor the time to play it at the moment work is so busy). I'm sure I'll get more fired up to buy it after the 500 this weekend!
  13. yeah Leo, it's not like I have my whole house wired with 1.2km of cat5 ethernet and RG6 quadshield running to every room. Nor do I have a 16 port router running the whole lot and a wireless access point to boot Sorry ghosty, I already have a clan and nah I don't wish I could take the time back - it is great, cheap fun!!! / /____________ like my new avatar??
  14. yeah we have been having clan lans at my brother-in-law David's place (he has a white R33) at Taperoo on the seafront. Some good food, few beers, sit out on the balcony watching the ocean, then some hard core gaming sometimes until the sun comes up. If there's enough interest I am sure we could invite SAU guys along.
  15. Pawlery you're just jealous you don't have any l33t CS 5k1llz .... buy the game, come online and recieve an ass-whooping from us computer geeks anytime
  16. CS:Source is pretty much uncrackable, as the Steam engine verifies your identity and unique key every single time you log on. It's an awesome game though - so much better than any previous version of CS, and I have been playing for about 5 years back to beta 1 when the player skins were green.
  17. I take it you are a CS player gtrGhosTDoGG11?? I have the same little CS guys on my shelf in front of my PC! I play CS:S as |nAp| Nytcrawler.
  18. =premo= - as per my original post we would meet somewhere (to be advised by PM) around 11am, then cruise to Victor Harbour, have lunch there, then cruise to Port Elliot Pits go-karts. Then we would cruise home and you never know might even end up having dinner together or come back to my place (which often happens). I would imagine we would struggle to be home by 5pm, but you could always leave go-karts a bit early. Hope to see you there. Chops, my wife didn't express a great deal of interest in coming, unless I promised not to drive like a hoon and do fun things - and we both know that is not going to happen. Yeah I sent Darren an email back the same day - hopefully they will change the date.
  19. yep I vote Guy to organise it - as it seems I am so crap at organising events - and yes, definitely no 1st weekend of April, as that is the big Victor Harbour cruise and Go-Karting!!! I remember the old House of Khans on Montague Rd - great food .... is this place the same - you pick your ingredients and flavouring/spices then they cook it on a big round plate in front of you? Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm! I haven't been to Gengis Khan for ages also, so looking forward to this if its the same.
  20. yep you know I will be there!
  21. holy cow - get them to resizereframe their website - the formatting is atrocious! Yes, I think there is a great idea for an SAU dinner.
  22. We have passes in the Pit Entry stand and will be there for the 4 days. Definitely keen on catching up for a drink - I reckon where Guy said is a good spot - I think that is near the 'Pub Tent'. We should organise a time and/or exchange mobile numbers.
  23. sounds like we will have a decent group together .... ideas for meet-up place? The final meet-up place and time will be PM'd to everyone, so if you don't post here registering your interest, you will miss out.
  24. Well see the post about Autosalon for show/n/shine We don't drift, but normally a pack of us head out to watch the Mallala drift days We have only had one track day and will have another near the end of winter this year (with any sort of luck) - after we get oil coolers (since last time we went out an engine was blown due to oil temp/starvation, a turbo fried from the same, and my oil temp went through 230 degrees) But mostly we just hang out and cruise occasionally. Not a particularly active club I'm afraid, but we do get together for a dinner every 3 months or so. Unfortunately the aggressive activites and tactics from the cops has put most of us on the back foot and cruises have dried up lately. Last cruise I went on the cops blocked off the 2 entrances to the carpark about 150 cars were occupying on a stop, and proceeded to thoroughly check every car and issue a huge pile of defect notices. This wasn't an SAU cruise, but was attaneded by quite a few SAU people. Just keep checking this forum for events in general
  25. yeah mate no probs, sorry forgot about you ..... new date Sunday 3rd April. Cmon guys post here if you're keen, as I want to gauge numbers for a booking.
