Can't remember what tyre pressures I was running John - I think just stock pressure of around 33psi from memory. And in case you didn't read all of my last post - this event was LAST year - not recently! But Grepin, the track day that my brother-in-law went to, was the one you were at last Friday just gone. He had the white 33 and his name was David.

fyi everyone - this post has been dug up from a year ago - that was when a few of us did the "SAU track day". My brother-in-law David was out there on Friday too Greg - he was in his white R33 - he is a mate of Steve's - and Steve does most of the work on his car. I was planning to go too, but I didn't manage to get an oil cooler in time (it arrives in the next few weeks) plus work got really busy etc so I didn't make it. Last time I was there is was doing flat 1:35s, but as I said above had tons of body-roll and very slippery tyres .... your times are very impressive! Chapman I will definitely do one of these courses next year - I'll post up details closer to the event and see if we can get a bit of an SAU group out there. It sounded like it was great fun and very informative.

Suspension and brakes are stock, except for some good dot5 brake fluid and good pads. Hence my lap times weren't very good due to body roll, and the fact that my Dunlop LM702 tyres went molten after a couple of hard laps and it was like driving on ice .... Yeah power delivery is very nice, but I always want more power. My best 1/4 mile run is a 12.74 which I don't think is too bad either My power should be a fair bit more now due to the extra mods I have done since, but peak power currently has dropped in favour of a much fatter power and torque curve from very low down all the way to redline. I need to buy a Power FC so I can fit the Z32 air flow meter I have, as my Unichip doesn't support it

what finish does the fibreglass bonnet come in? Will it be matt and ready to paint directly, or will it have a 'fake' cf veneer so it looks like a cf bonnet? What guarantees do we have about quality/returns etc? I am interested pending the answers to the question

the payments have now all cleared and the guy is making the signs as we speak. We (I) got absolutely ripped on the Paypal A$ to $US conversion - they converted at US76.5c to the A$ (should have been around 80c to the A$). So it turns out everyone's orders are $5 more expensive. But I not gonna lose too much sleep over it. If you wanna give me the extra $5 each when you next see me at a cruise then that would be nice ..... if not, it's not the end of the world. Will let you all know shipping/tracking numbers when available.

yeah interested, but hoping for not too much over the $600 mark if possible. It is only fibreglass after all .... especially considering you get a front bumper for around $400, I don't understand how the bonnets are so much more expensive, when obviously lots of work/fibrglass goes into the bumpers and they only cost $400.

don't know, I don't really give a crap, as long as they're here within 3 weeks and they arrive safe and sound! fyi buyers - I paid shipping insurance on them too, for peace of mind. Order is in, I have paid for them all, and am waiting for him to notify me the shipping EMS numbers for tracking. Will post them up when available. also fyi, he said you can change the light bulbs in the head unit and change the colour of the signs. I am not sure what type of bulbs these are, but hopefully he will let me know or send some spares. Andrew

dude, he is making the money on the postage .... the postage doesn't really cost US$30 per piece - I am sure it is significantly less - he is avoiding Ebay charges (as they charge a percentage of the purchase price as commission).

no worries guys .... will see how this group buy goes and if it all goes well, any others that want signs can just buy them themselves off this guy on Ebay. It seems I didn't get a much better price over his standard prices anyhow .... it's all good though - in around 3-4 weeks we get our awesome signs!! Can't wait!

yeah, but I didn't want this to be too big, as I don't have the time to take a million orders etc ... but yeah if this one goes well I might open it up to the general population - it seems LOTS more people want these. This price is sort of a favour price from this guy, so maybe I can do another group buy, but the price might be a tad higher - like maybe $42 I think. Will see what demand is like. Even at $41 it is a damn bargain imho. Even at $50 they are good value.

I have now placed the order, and the supplier will let me know when the payment has cleared and they are in the post. I would hope that it would be by Monday next week. Will keep you all updated. Andrew

Most people's payments have cleared, I am just waiting for slyr33 to let me know his order and give me some cash. If anyone knows him can they please ring him and see if he wants in or not, as he is holding up the order. I have PM'd him a couple of times now. I'll put the order through no matter what Sunday night. The supplier says he will easily have the signs in the post by the end of next week (if not before), and they should only take a week or so to arrive here. ok, he has been pretty un-negotiable on price, even when I threatened to take our business elsewhere. The price is A$36 each, which includes insurance, postage and handling (insurance was extra but well worth it I think). Please PM me with the exact design you want (PMing me a list of Ebay item links would probably be helpful so as to avoid confusion between similar signs), and your postage address. At this point it is not 100% clear, but I am hoping this price is for postage individually, as this is less likely to arouse suspision with customs etc .... after all if we get a batch of 10+ in, then it looks like we would be selling them and hence duteis should be paid. As these are for personal use, I don't think that would be fair. If he won't post to individual addresses, I'll get them posted to me and will have to distribute. Kamikazee33, obviously if I have to repackage yours and post them, I'll have to ask for you to cover postage. Wouldn't be much I suspect.
