  1. nah mate, haven't met Dave, but he sounded like a cool guy on the phone ..... damn I hope they find the car in one piece - in fact I hope one of us spots it, follows it to a locale, call in some SAU backup, and go to work on the bloody thieves! I am going to get one of the Viper paging alarms for sale on the trading section, since so many cars have gone missing around the place lately. I have a good alarm and immobilisers already, but it would be nice to thave a vibrating pager in your pocket for when you are at the shops or someone else's house etc ....
  2. yeah I never got to see the Tonka chick in the pool - damn it! The bogans were drunk off their nuts and yelling all sort of rubbish out at one stage.
  3. Were you in that GTS Commo MadGT4? .... crazy Commo drivers .... Was an awesome event! Good organisation and plenty of lusties about for the visual entertainment - oh yeah, the racing was bloody awesome too! Those crazy D1 drivers were cool as - they really know how to put on a show!!! Damn tired and a bit sunburnt like everyone else now .... not nearly as sunburnt as Whatsisname and Kim though
  4. I just spoke with Dave - I thought I'd found his Sil80 on Port Wakefield road - but it wasn't the one - VERY similar though. He mentioned a few unique items from the car, in case anyone get offered parts for sale: - AAR leather drivers seat (he's never seen another one before in Australia) - dished Sparco steering wheel - cutom intercooler piping with tons of small pieces welded together Jap drift style - a Defi boost gauge - 18" rear mags, 16" silver front mags. Keep your eyes and ears open for this stuff (or hopefully the car) to turn up!!
  5. Hi, sorry for the relatively short official notice, but as discussed at the last SAU dinner, time has come for the next one. I have booked at the Bombay Bicycle Club for this Saturday 5th Feb 8pm. No doubt we will head in earlier for some drinks etc. We are booked in the restaurant area upstairs, not the front bar (for those that were at Matt's birthday bash). I could only get a booking for 10 people. Only catch is I have to pay a $10 per head deposit on Monday, so I need DEFINITE numbers. First in first serve, there are only 6 places left (after Carolyn and myself, Guy (4door sleeper) and Di). I am happy to pay the deposit, but if you respond here you HAVE to come, as it is not refundable. Will be a great night, with some fantastic food at this renowned (and VERY hard to get into) restaurant. Who's in? Obviously new forum members are very welcome. There are no membership fees or anything, just respond here and come along for some good food, company and no doubt plenty of car talk. Andrew
  6. thanks! Tee hee .... Heard you had some trouble with your back tyres on the XR6Turbo cruise John?!
  7. yep, as always - you just have to pick your favourites ....
  8. Guy - suuuuuure it is Tim - yeah it's my Kyosho that used to have the yellow S15 body on it. Don't you worry - she gets up and boogies .... Mazda6 pfft
  9. Check it out - finished painting and stickering it this arvo. I reckon it came up a treat! Did the title get you going?
  10. shiet yeah .... I have downloaded the schedule and picked out my fave acts - it is going to be a VERY busy day!!!
  11. nah Chapman, it is my brother-in-law's Unichip - you can still have mine
  12. prefer to sell locally: Unichip ISDN and DOV modems Andrew
  13. 2 year old Unichip piggy-back ECU. Currently tuned to a R33GTS-t, but will plug in to pretty much any car with an ECU (will obviously need to be fune tuned). Great affordable upgrade - the car it's coming off made 180rwkw with very few mods. $400 can ship at buyers expense
  14. see pics below .... I haven't seen one in Adelaide though.
  15. Hi, I have for sale the following items: 1 x Telstra NT1 PlusII 64k/128k external ISDN terminal/modem 1 x Traverse Technolgy Netjet Model 200 Data Over Voice (DOV) PCI Modem The first item will let you hook up to ISDN internet (after line activation from your carrier), and the second item will let you 'trick' the modem into thinking it is making a voice call (for the normal voice call fee), instead of a costly ISDN call which is normally charged by the minute/hour. No idea of current value - will do a deal if you want both. I paid around $300 for the NT1 and about $200 (from memory) for the Netjet when I bought them a couple of years ago. Make me an offer.
  16. u know - the usual drag injuries - have done a couple of clutches, my gearbox is rooted - diff trouble, etc etc ....
  17. that is a big IF he can get any traction - unfortunately more power doesn't necessarily mean squat unless you can get it to the ground without bending things (as MattR and I are testament to).
  18. that really is foolly siiiiiiik, reh?! SIKMA
  19. :) - John can have the gimp suit - you two better be coming Erica!
  20. hahahahaha what are the chances of that? .... went to the physio yesterday and she told me I will need at least twice a week visits for 3 months to get my knee better - I did it the worst way possible short of needing a reconstruction apparently. The silly things we do when drunk .... and I wasn't even cheating - unfairly accused, I say (I can't really remember anyhow) Definitely hope to see you there guys - and get the Cheekster and Munros butts in gear for it too!
  21. Looks like Chapman, myself and a couple of my mates at this stage .... PM me if you want my mobile number to catch up on the day - or meet in the line at 11am
  22. nah I'm sick of breaking things - and the car isn't running that well at the moment either .... maybe next year
  23. don't get me wrong Lach - you get to do plenty of warm-up and classification runs befor the comp. actually starts - and it's bloody amazing racing in front of tons of people. I think you should go out for the Nats, it is still way fun. I was just whingeing about my bad fortune last year - don't let me tak you out of it! Danh, we'll definitely make a meet up place to cruise out there as a group - will advise closer to the date.
  24. Yeah but the problem is to race at the Nats you need consistency - as you have to dial in your own times. Last year I got owned by own lack of consistency (and a blown heavy duty clutch on the day ). Not going to bother this year 'cos my car is so slow and old this year hehe
