  1. Give the AFM a good clean with MAF cleaner spray. Try the soldering trick before you replace the AFMs. There's a DIY thread on here somewhere, a lot of people have had success with repairing the dry solder joints.
  2. Looks great, congrats man! I also have a silver one like yours
  3. Fark I had a close shave yesterday! I was reversing into a parking spot when a large black 4wd reversed out on my driver's side. I stared at the woman's rear spare tyre which was literally 10cm from my face and I beeped furiously luckily she stopped. She was very apologetic, lucky for her it wasnt a child (or her own child) playing on the driveway. I would have been so pissed off with stupid repair jobs, total waste of time.
  4. Also check the cam angle sensor, you can just unbolt it and have a look. Mine had broken teeth causing this, replaced with $100 second hand CAS and worked fine.
  5. Rofl love seeing those Holdens fishtail. I can honestly say I have never bothered racing anyone, knowing that any car can be a police car lol
  6. Zeds look awesome, I like them.
  7. CPD can take you for a drive and the missus for a ride after
  8. Nopes Will get a THIRD aircon place in afew weeks to figure this one out *sigh*
  9. The oil filter is in a very tight spot under the plenum. Mine was stuck. Best investment I made was getting a 3 pronged 'claw-like' oil filter remover from autobarn, the one that you can put a rachet at the end that tightens as you turn. It only takes afew millimetres of movement before you can hand unscrew the filter. I'm weak as a fly and my sump plug was also way too tight, took it to mechanic who cracked it open for free. Made a bit of a mess taking the filter off but it was well worth it. Note: loosen the filter first before you drain all of your oil!
  10. Anyone get away with speeding whilst driving their skyline?
  11. Something nice and different. The back of looks really strange!
  12. A lot of things with slight abrasive properties work, give it a shot. People have used toothpaste.
  13. My boost gauge has VAC on one side and PSI on the other. On idle it's 20 inHg VAC (i assume it's vacuum), while on boost it'll move to the PSI part.
  14. I'm not sure what type of bulb the r32 takes, but make sure it's the right type (eg. H1 etc) or else the focus would be completely off. Alternatively as you mentioned something is blocking the light.
  15. It's easy, just sand it back with fine sandpaper and then use meguiar's plastX/scratchX.
  16. Carsales is making profit from the scammers, nice.
  17. I finally got around to (partially) cleaning the AAC valve on the rb26 Mid-way under the plenum it sits sideways with 4 bolts, 2 hoses connected and a brown plug. After I removed the bolts I removed the AAC only to see a brand spanking new looking gasket in one piece. However inside the aac it was dirty, caked in black soot. The freaking hoses had hose clamps facing the engine so there was no way that I could remove them without removing the plenum... anyway I just sprayed MAF cleaner into the spring and the black juices came running out another hole. I can say that it's only half clean lol First few key turns the car would not start I was freaking out maybe because I didn't wait for the MAF cleaner to dry haha, but then it worked perfectly No more throttle required on startup. Also adjusted the idle screw from 1100rpm down to a more respectable 1000rpm which I am happy with at the moment, might go lower but I was afraid of stalling in traffic like others haha
  18. Hey guys, does the RTA keep track of the kms or does it not matter if it's wound back?
  19. I've got a Gates timing belt and it's a bit noisy... I should have gone with the stock one
  20. Mine overcharges also, at 15V and after 15 min of driving it drops down to 14.5 and the battery light goes off. I hate that battery light. I've checked with the multimeter and it's definitely the alternator pumping out the 15V. I'm afraid that even if I change the alternator knowing my luck this would not solve the problem :\
  21. Won't be able to get the paper, someone scan and post it up!
  22. There are 20 r33 gtst being wrecked daily. Check out the for sale section
  23. Can't seem to find a guide for rb26, can anyone point me to it? Thanks!
  24. Just ordered one of these. I have a speco boost gauge but have never paid any attention to it. So after I install this boost controller do I need to drive the car around and keep an eye on the boost gauge and see how high it goes? What's a safe level for a r33 gtr stock. Thanks guys.
  25. Usual filter is z145a but not sure for the relocation kit.
