  2. i have a brand new r33 fmic that never got used i have just had it sitting here .. i am gunna put it on my r32 just wanna no what major diiferences there are ??? only thing i can see is the bracket on the top off the cooler is horizontal insted of verticle anything else??

  4. i have put the stocker ecu in and hooked up my stock reg and my pingin has gone i will get the reg checked and make sure she works before i think about putting it back on thanks guys... one last thing what boost will the stock reg put up with before it starts to fail???
  5. yeah the stock reg was still attached but no vac line going to it the after market reg is set up on the return line just after the reg on the rail above thermo stat housing if that makes sense will have a photo buy tonight
  6. i am running 11psi due to exaust and frountmount with no controller and i bought the car just over a week ago with all mods fitted i have not changed anything since purchace just put fuel in and i dindt seem to do this the day i got it so ine been riped or unlucky as... i think its a fueling issue aswell now because my ideal has become irratic and will not hold steady on idle the car drops from 800 down to 400 randomly and also on idle the engine seems to have an exauhst pop it sounds like it has a standalone ecu in it is so irratic which makes me think its fuel or timing doing so only thing i change was the fuel filter and i changed the the fuel pressure from 20psi at idle to 32 psi which did not make a difference... do i have to completly disconnect the aftermarket reg(like take the fuel lines off and have it not hooked up at all) or can i just swap the vac line from the aftermarket back to standard... also i noticed on the gague on the reg the fuel pressure will not stay at 32 psi as the idle pops and drops so does fuel whicmh makes me thinks its a fuelling issue and pump doesnt seem to make any differnce

  8. just put astock ecu back and not much difference a lil better but still detonating im really starting to think timing is out now or something but still waiting for my light to be given back so cant check till then will update soon
  9. just looked at ecu to make sure it is a standard one... its not its a nasty tomie stage one which has timing and ignition maps all tinkerd with no fuel or speed cut no boost cut and also tuned for boost up aswell as exauhst cooler pump etc i had a mines in my last 32 and had nothing but issuse with it i think this may something to do with it cause ther cheaply made and the agressiveness of the fuel and ignition maps also my car is on stock boost also so dont no if that helps
  10. yeah i will check the timing tommoro and why do i have to put the stock reg you think its dodgy? also i dont have a consult but i can bridge the pins to check for error codes ... do you think it is safe to drive its my daily i need it for work
  11. i have an r32 skyline its a four door factory auto that has been converted to manual and had a reco engine put in it (not original motor) my mods are fuel reg pump (walbro) gtr fmic pod supersparks they are the important ones anyways my problem is the engine is detonating and the car smells really fuelly more than an averge rb20de i have replaced the fuel line going to the filter aswell as the one after filter going towards the front of the engine the others look preety good and i have changed the fuel filter and its still happenig i have cleaned and check the gap on the plugs and all seems fine im thinking it is a leakin injector or something is there any way of testing them with out take them out and without using a noid light... also does any one have a pic on how the standard CAS sits mine is pulled hard right (as in the elongated holes that allow timing adjustment are not centered and the bolts are on the far left of the hole and it doesnt seem right) and i think i may have to much timing going in because the bolts dont line up with the marks on the CAS so its suspect Thanks for any help Cheers Bejay

  14. r32 gtst blue with black bonnets 5spd with exedy cushion button clutch and new slave cylinder (needs throw out bearing) biggest intank walbro sard fuel reg gfb bleed valve on 12psi hks pod and custom heat shield trust cooler kit custom oil catchcan alloy rad r33 turbo splitfire coilpack full 3 inch exaust stainless steel factory dump and trust monster cannon tein super street coil overs in front tein ha in rear d1 castor rods think thats it for engine and driveline exterior is fairly clean its dark blue with black bonnet r33 gtr 17x9 225x45 continental wheels interior is clean i heve new carpet goin in the door trim inserts are reupolsterd in tan vinyl it has oil press volts boost and water temp gagues sony head deck ipod cord with clarion speakers bad points speedo stoped 3 weeks ago ( i have bought a cable) just after i had the water pump timing belt thermostat and serpintin belts replaced and the aircon has stoped working and one of the rear coilovers has started knocking and the hicas make the steering go heavy needs a lock bar fitted interested in swaps for a 4 dr turbo manual r32 33 or something of interest this car is very reliable and has been my daily for a year now regretful swap but need a family orientated toy pm me wat you got i also have lots of spares going with the car as deal sweetners if i find the right car like gearbox and shortshifter gtr bonnet grill and some other gear also

  16. that is parts supplied so would $500 be for oil pump and labour be not enough??? what is the service life on them and does anyone no any ways to make sure they are working properly or any signs to look for when there on there way out
  17. has anyone had there oil pump replaced by a shop and what is a ballpark figure on what they charge i have been quoted $760 for the timing belt water pump and serpintine belts fitted but now i am gonna do the oil pump aswell thanks guys

  19. as above they were pulled from a mates gtr he now has hks coilovers there are no leaks they seemed fairly nice in the car have lowerd tein springs fitted dont no how low but only bad point is the boots on the rears is broken so a new set off rubber boots wont hurt to answer qs in advance the fronts will fit a gtst 2wd skyline but the rears do not as gtr and gts-4 have different rear ends they would be a good upgrade for a gts4 or good replacemnt for old ones in your gtr asking $250 ONO contact me on 0421 515 441 or 0412 918 227

  21. r32 headlights great condition they came of a 4 dr and are the frosted type for the set $120 takem away r32 turbo good condition had 86000 on it before i went to an r33 turbo $100 catback exauhst from an exauhst shop 2 1/2 inch into 3 inch with big rear mufller nice quite system $50 contact me here or on 0412 918 227

  23. nah mate replaced the thermostat when i did the rad the car is due for its 100k service and is getting the water pump done at the same time .. the car has no oil in the water or vice versa blows no smoke at all and does not burn oil so i dont think it the head gasket thanks heaps but
  24. no harm in not having a valley cover on it is better for your coil packs because it let the heat out although you can get defected for it ... the oil in the valley cover is possibly from an leaking rocker cover or splilt oil from a change . first off make sure your car has got the right amount oil in it if its got to much it will shoot them out your engine breathers into your intake. if the oil amount is at the right level then fit a catch can and stop it going into your intake it seems like alot of oil in your piping you could plug your pipes with a tennis ball and spray degreaser or tip acetone or thinners down wipe it out with a rag take the pipes off also lol
