  1. I have a set of R32 GTS-t rims, 2 with tyres (good tread) 2 without. $250 for the lot
  2. Stock is 60mm. Plazmaman recommended a 72mm TB, saying that an 80mm or 90mm (50%) increase in size would lose some of the responsiveness. This may all be a sales pitch from them to sell a part, but if there's merit in what they say then I don't see the harm in trying to find a cheaper alternative that might cost $200 (incl machining an adapter plate) instead of $500.
  3. Having spoken to Plazmaman they recommended the 72mm TB over an 80mm or 90mm item for better response, so that's what i'm planning on using. Given that a lot of Nissan parts are interchangable I'd thought I'd see if this would work on one of their plenums. If the bolt hole locations are different I'll see how much TRD will charge to machine an adapter plate. The last thing I had them machine for me was insanely cheap, so I doubt this will cost much. All up I reckon it would be cheaper than a Plazmaman TB ($500) to buy the part I want & have an adapter machined. Why spend $500 when i don't have to?
  4. I'll let you know how I go
  5. Doing a bit of research I discovered that the A32/A33 Maxima has a 72mm TB, which is the size I want to use on a forward facing plenum when I get one. Would anybody with a suitable plenum (Greddy, Plazmaman, etc) on their RB25 be willing to lend a hand to see if this TB will fit? If my idea works it could save a few people hundreds of dollars as you wouldn't have to buy a billet CNC item for silly amounts of cash. This won't be until after Xmas but let me know if you're happy to help out - i'll bring beers.
  6. They'd damn well want to as well for the money. Whilst I agree they look good, they're not worth paying for fashion over function. My car is a basic drifter that doesn't need to look good, just needs to work well.
  7. pics of the missus big boobs? get some different rims on your car and she'll be sweet
  8. No idea unfortunately, I don't have a Greddy or Plazmaman plenum or a Maxima TB to try it out, hence asking on here.
  9. Has anybody tried fitting an A32/A33 Maxima throttle body (72mm) to a Plazmaman RB25 plenum? I'm interested to know if this works as $500 for a billet 72mm TB is a joke. I know there's other's available from CPC, OBX etc via the net just want to know if this works first as it could be one of those handy money savers.
  10. updates: Chassis rail has been pulled back into position, interior has been completely stripped, all heating & cooling (incl under dash) stuff removed, new thermos & radiator soon to go in, coilovers will be rebuilt soon & the huge mess of unnecessary wiring left over will be removed/tidied at some stage. After that it's a new Velo seat & harness and back on track.
  11. Bugger that doesn't help much, i'm after a certain one - I didn't get the plate unfortunately.
  12. what exactly do you need, i've just ripped all that crap out of my car and may have a few parts you're after.
  13. genuine ceffy kits are pretty expensive from Japan - i reckon you should try to find a smashed stock front bar around your area and then get a cheap kit from another car you like the look of. Get some fibreglass, bog and a decent cuttingl tool (Dremel's are awesome) and make your own bar. Once you've got it looking the way you want sand it all back & paint it.
  14. What size are you after? try changing the calipers & discs on the front to something a bit more commonly available - R32 or S15 calipers & discs (example only, not sure if that will work. best to check it out yourself.)
  15. How could we forget it, the ugliness has been burned into our memories. As if that front bar isn't bad enough, they then add those horrid over fenders.
  16. Anybody know the Black GT Forrested on massive chromies that was doing formal runs?
  17. It has a kit - Autech, it's just very mild. Chop out the little bubble bits in the front bar & it looks much better
  18. That's in a lot of other Jap cars - anybody know how to get rid of it?
  19. myself + possibly 3 more are keen. shall get back to you on that one as 2 of them might be overseas on those dates.
  20. If you want a Dmax front bar speak to Dom at Holford Motors in Melb, I know he used to be able to get Dmax gear, not sure if he still can or not.
  21. try Dom from Holford's, that's who i got mine from. If that doesn't work Jesse Streeter is your man in Japan
  22. Spotted a blue 32GTR near Russell this morning
