  1. Don't get me wrong, they look *nice*, but they lack the aggression of the R32 or R34. To me it sort of fades into that current "blob" look that the 350Z and the Audi TT have taken on.
  2. What's the point! Just another Euro-style luxury/family car now.
  3. Probably not much. Maybe a slight increase. However I can only speak for myself. I got a 15 year old GTR because locally I could only afford a GTS-T. Furthermore, I would *NEVER* buy an R33 because they're FUGLY. So if there are others like me, on the fringe of affording imports, we can't afford the SEVS car we want so we won't impact on prices.
  4. Good for a girl's R32
  5. How much is a Porche 911 turbo anyway?
  6. *takes the porche along to local mechanic* Mechanic says "WTF?"
  7. LOL, get the Pulsar, you don't want the guy in the ad to get in trouble do you?
  8. Yeah, you haven't given us much to choose from here. The R34 NA aren't really that much cheaper than the turbo, because nobody wants NA there are hardly any brought in.
  9. R34 because I'm sure parts for a Porche would be a nightmare.
  10. Can't see how it would be much different from an Rb25DE.
  11. Yeah it's not Nazi Germany. People can pretty much say what they want unless it's through the media.
  12. Are you looking for auto or manual? Turbo or non-turbo? Coupe or 4 door? Try www.prestigemotorsport.com.au as they can help you import fairly cheap, especially auto-4door-GTTs
  13. But that one's just as dead as the one he already has!
  14. It's an implicit ban. Ask the compliance shops how much of a run-around they're getting from DOTARS to become authorised for each different model of car. DOTARS will say "oh look you can go through SEVS" Then make SEVS as painful and difficult as possible.
  15. LOL, that thing would become airborne surely with the Godzilla engine?
  16. LOL at the gap between the R33 and the other 2.
  17. I was actually looking forward to a shitload of R32 GTRs on the road. More on the road means a bigger market, which means more mechanical and aftermarket support. Plus all the young hoons buy their cheap GTR and write it off, meaning more spare parts available! But I guess not now...
  18. They're about the same. The R33 GTST has more power, but it weighs a bit more, cancelling out the advantage.
  19. It's not necessarily the boost. It's where the tacho needle is spending most of its time.
  20. Of course he was bribed or coerced. The whole ending the 15 year rule thing is blatantly in favour of new car dealers in Australia. If they really wanted to be *fair* and limit imports, they would set up the laws like this: 1. 15 year Import Approval per person (driver's licence/Tax file no.) per 10 years. 2. Unlimited IAs for SEVS imports.
  21. Fair enough, your choice. I guess people can consider this a guarantee they will suffer physical injury if they approach my car, and I am not afraid of the consequences.
  22. Exactly. Some people forget that Japanese performance cars are not about absolute power. While Ford and Holden fans seem to care about little else. Japanese performance cars (i.e. Skylines) have the following strengths (kick me if I leave anything out): Styling Weight balance Handling Engineering Well-performing engines Nissan chose to make an RB26DETT. They could so easily have redesigned the engine to be an RB44DETT (or similar) to make pure power by just upping the displacement, but they chose not to.
  23. It wouldn't be attempted murder. Murder is deliberate intent to kill. Protecting your car at worst would be assault. Anyway, whose side are you on?
