slow13dude replied to druzilla32's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Pull the 4WD fuse out. -
SAU is good at keeping threads clean. For mass Pwnage and flames go to nissansilvia.com

power vs lag???? anyone??
slow13dude replied to full-boost's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Because you're used to full-time 4wd and if you try to drive the GTR like that it will bog. -
lets have a proper "this is my car pic" post

LOL, yeah those Japs love their Gunmetal Grey!!! -
wow, 6 minutes - you're impatient!
-
Since you've got 2 and you can only drive 1 at a time, why not let me have 1?
-
Agreed. The "average" GTST would be under 200rwkw. The "average" GTST I think would be around 230-250 kw @ the fly. As long as that 6L HSV can get traction it should win a lot of drags. Do some weight reduction and it's even more formiddable.

power vs lag???? anyone??
slow13dude replied to full-boost's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
You will want the 4wd controller for the GTR to adjust the distribution of power to the wheels. -
6L. Wow, that's a big engine. We mostly choose turbo Skylines over big NA for the following 3 reasons: 1. Ability to double power output from a smaller engine 2. Smaller engine = less weight 3. Skylines handle better than "Aussie" cars But good luck to you.

R34GTT Vs XR6T!!!??!!
slow13dude replied to Myth33's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
LOL, yeah I'm certain Ford knows that forced induction beats NA and the power was deliberately kept conservative and below the V8 output. Lots of V8 bogans out there that would have hurt feelings if the XR6T came from the factory with more power than the V8. -
R34GTT Vs XR6T!!!??!!
slow13dude replied to Myth33's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Some people are forgetting that the Japanese deliberately used smaller displacement engines with forced induction for reasons like weight and racing class restrictions. It's all maths, of course the XR6T has more power potential than the Skyline engines, simple displacement + forced induction. -
Assuming the cop can pick the difference between a GTR and a GTST and knows that the GTR should have 2 turbos.

Skylining days are over... for now

Nothing wrong with the VR4 Galant -
My money's on profiteering. See the 89 GTR thread.

Nismo 320km Dash R33 - suit auto?
slow13dude replied to oor33sky_'s topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
I hate my Nismo 320Km/h speedo. Only ever use a third of the range! -
Ah OK, thanks

Speaking of rust... I had a little bit of rust on the rear quarter panels on my R32 GTR. But why do aluminium panels rust? I thought aluminium was a non-rusting metal???

I say make the sacrifice and go live in NZ for a year! (personal import)

OK, I see Mazda is also populated by morons: FD RX7 Years Available: 1992 to 2003 Engine: 13B (1308cc) twin rotor (2 x 654cc) EFI Twin Sequential Turbos with Intercooler Hardly 30 years ago.

Agreed. Most 89 GTR buyers are trying to make a buck out of the ignorant! However, I'm in the 1% of buyers that actually bought my 89 GTR for me.
-
The GTR was designed to win the Group A racing class.
-
Another 32 gtr or is it?
slow13dude replied to nOOSE's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Sorry, I have an 1989 R32 GTR and I have ABS. -
So basically Rexbo, a single turbo is preferable if done properly, but a lot harder to get right (tuning, development, engineering) than just using a twin-turbo system?
-
I'm not calling you a liar, however you haven't explained why the engineers persist with the twin-turbo setup if it's a waste of time.
