There is always at least 1 clown that has to say that. We're not stupid you doofus.

Well, compliance costs $4000 more than a 15 year car. Plus by definition a SEVS vehicle has no chassis damage, so is likely to be a cleaner example. So depending on the FOB price, a 1994 R32 is worth at least $5000 more than a 15 year stock one.

Price Drop
slow13dude replied to SkyLinE GT-T R34 Pau's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
I reckon prices will go up, up, up! Now that R32's aren't as appealing for their ridiculously cheap prices (due to the 15 year rule), the R34s will become more popular, and better value for money than SEVS R32's -
Subaru Impreza Facelift for 2006
slow13dude replied to Kero's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hey nobody here is questioning Subaru's engineering ability, however the styling (which is half the appeal of a Skyline) is just awful. That's what is being judged. -

Wake up call - Stolen cars
slow13dude replied to TracidTrax's topic in General Automotive Discussion
And do you have comprehensive insurance on your grey import Daniel?? Do you feel handing over a third of the value of your car per year to be worth it? In three years you could have bought another GTST -
r33 gtst question?
slow13dude replied to great one's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
No, it's just that they turn back the clock (odometer) to less than 100,000 because it looks better when trying to sell. They have actually done more. But also, the timing belt needs to be changed every 100,000 KMs and it's a couple of hundred dollars, maybe they're too cheap to get it done. -

Questions for '89-'90 Model GTR Owners
slow13dude replied to 46n2's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Because people are listing their street address and registration? Because people have never listed what is in their car in any other threads on this site? ? -
How can you tell if your GTR is a V-Spec?

My GTR has no GTR badge, therefore it's not a GTR? -
Questions for '89-'90 Model GTR Owners
slow13dude replied to 46n2's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
1989 GTR Had it 6 months. Needed new "upper control arms" whatever that is. Had the timing belt replaced Nothing really gone wrong. Has this "tap tap" sound when cold and when not under throttle. Mechanic says it's probably shims and not to worry about it. Pulls hard, drives smooth. Some new tyres would be nice, but they're so exxy! Petrol is not too bad. 400km to a tank. -

Insurance sucks & making car theft proof
slow13dude replied to nissky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeah R33 and R32 Skylines are getting so cheap there's no value to the professional thief surely. Now on the other hand if you have a Ferrari... Oh, to make your car theft proof, sell it and buy a Barina. Seriously who is going to steal a Barina? But seriously, get a wheel clamp, a club lock, a gear stick lock etc. The sheer number of visual deterrents should be enough to put anyone off. -
RB20, how good are they?
slow13dude replied to GreekWarrior's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The RB20DET is nice and cheap. So you can rev it off it's tits, blow it up and then drop another one in without blinking. -
do you like the new skylines?
slow13dude replied to VL-TRBO-RB20's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Er, the Skyline/Pintara separation was just cynical marketing, much like the 350Z/Skyline issue now. At least Toyota doesn't call its' 4 Cylinder Camry a different car to its V6. You're comparing a 180SX to a 240SX? They weren't even sold in the same market - they were different names for the same car (except engine) in different market. If you think the R32 and the S13 and the Cefiro look the same that's up to you I guess. For those of us who care, we are bitterly disappointed that not only has the styling become homogenised, but the engine is the same, and the chassis is the same, and the engine is the same! Rotating a door handle doesn't impress us, sorry. Very disappointing for flagship models of a manufacturer. -
r34 GTT or r33 GTR
slow13dude replied to JETLNE's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Yeah I would go R32 GTR or R34 GTT. Can't stand the R33 look. -

RB20, how good are they?
slow13dude replied to GreekWarrior's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
FIRST car? I would say you should start with an RB20DE Skyline, then move on from there.
