It's a lot easier to join a club then to start one. Don't think that we've given up, it's just very difficult to organise stuff, and find time to do all the running around and paper work and get this stuff going. The club is registered, just we've got a few more things to organise before we can take on members in a way that we'd feel comfortable and confident. We could just take peoples money now, and have a few cruises, but we want to give every member their value for money, and things have to be done right. We are getting close to having everything finalised. And i'll guarantee that all the other clubs around had similar difficulties in the begining as well. Myself, slip, luke/abu53, gary all have fulltime jobs and it's not as easy to get everyone, and everything together. And besides, there's more to a club then a piece of paper saying you're a member, a lot of people on here have known each other for years, helped each other, and had some great days/events together. I don't think that should ever be given up on.

Would you be interested in seperating the HICAS rack...and what sort of nicks it in.

I reacon a V8 and V6TT would be awesome, just like the toyota's...we gotta see a V8TT eventually...think about the possibilities.

i think lags gunna be a big issue though. cause i'm pretty they're bigger then a gtr turbo, which works with 1.3L of engine, you're using a bigger turbo for 1L of engine. You'd think that in theory it'd take twice as long to spool.

sounds interesting, but i don't know if it'd be worth it, they're only a little engine, be interesting to see how it goes, but i'd rather sell the stock turbo and buy something a little bigger.

If you want a good clutch, go to direct clutch service at albion in brisbane. They make damn good clutches, not the cheapest around, but they're bloody good.

God, i think some of the old boys here have forgotten what it's like to be 17. No matter what anyone tells you, you don't listen. If you've got your heart set on it and it makes you happy then go for it. If he's telling the truth, then nobody here knows what his situation is. But, still, if you asked me, i'd say buy something with a little less power to start with. At 18 and with no real serious driving experience, even a simple r32 gts-t can get you into a lot of trouble if you don't know how to handle the power.

I'll seriously think we should all email or write to the courier mail and support this bloke. We need to get behind people who want to basically help us.

Wait till next year and pick up an 89 gts-t, then spend the extra money, could be up to 10 grand on the 32.

Normally, when you've got a drag style set up with your suspension, the rear end is softer then you would like it for say, circut racing. The idea is to use the suspension to absorb the shock of launching and to increase traction. With track suspension, you want the car to sit flat through corners, so you want the car set up stiffer.

There's f**kwits behind the wheel of every car, i've seen them in skylines and i've seen them in everything. Unfortunately when you can buy a commodore for $500, they tend to attract more so.

Only if you're at the back slipery...I'll have the car fixed and semi cruiseable by then...still be sporting drift spec though.

Bottom line though, if you want to modify your car in anyway you will need to have an engineer inspect and aprove the modification. Otherwise you're always going to be running a risk of catching a copper on a bad day.

Just keep practicing, if you're worried about your car, find a nice quiet bit of private road somewhere, and do a rolling start against another similarly modded 33. I'm guessing it's just your launching though, there's a lot to it, depending on suspension, tyre pressures and the most important thing being driver skills. Just keep testing different methods of launching i guess, find out what works best for you, i like using the sliding the clutch out slower to keep the power on that optimum level before wheel spin, but that shagged my last clutch and i havn't had my car going right where i wanna push it yet.

If you're into drag racing, it'd be a good idea to keep the stockers in the rear as opposed to harder aftermarket suspension. But if you're anything else, i.e, track work or drift, then you definately wanna have the same sort of suspension in front and back unless you know how to, and want it set up otherwise.

I'd get them painted by someone who knows what they're doing, but fitting should be no worries...

How are the rear guards ????
