You would think that compression is the main thing. If you can get it close to 12:1 + you should make that kind of power.

Yeah passed, just really surprised that it was a drug test. Unmarked HP car in QBN. Thought it was going to be an RBT but he pulled out a swab. Also it was at 9am. I was asked if I used cannabis or other illicit drugs to which I replied no and then had the test. Took about 10 mins which was a pain as I was made to be late for an appointment. I understand that cannabis can stay in your saliva for a number of days, and you could be pinged for it despite not being 'high'. End of an era I suppose for some, like the when RBT's came in in the 70's-80's.

So, here is a turn up for the books. On my way to work this morning and I was pulled up by an unmarked police car. A little unusual, but it always seems that I get RBT'd in the morning . Anyway expecting the RBT and the policeman pulls out a swab. Wow, OK. Anyhoo, went without a hitch despite being held up for 10 mins waiting for the result. I have never had this happen before. Just wondering how prevalent this is? Also, I understand that if you have been indulging the night or even week before you can be picked up. It seems that it is black and white. You are or you're not, unlike the 0.05 rule with alcohol.

Good topic. One that has been discussed at length between a mate and myself. Looking forward to responses from those who have owned and modded both. For me, I would go the raw R34 route, provided it was already fully built and 50K+ had been spent on it, and in pristine condition, which you can have for 60 - 70K. The R35 while quicker and more refined etc still has the dual clutch hamstring and now I feel is outdated by other cars that will be coming to our shores shortly due to the meltdown of Ford / Holden, i.e the Dodge and the Camaro which are just as quick around a track and have the RWD drivers aspect. Lets face it, we drive these cars for the 'event' they provide on every drive. Skids win every time. The bad time is that you are paying big dollars for an ooold old car and that hurts. But hey I've always wanted a built R34 GTR in Bayside Blue.

My Shed in QBN? Has pool table, beer, spirits, home made skid pad, and plenty of off street parking.

Spotted 'the34t' today driving on Cooma St QBN. I was the fat bloke on a CT110 in fluro going Nnnniiiiiirrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeee flat out the other way. Needless to say I didn't wave as I was full aero.

What they mean is that if you buy a 15K GTR you will end up paying 30K (at least) over the next couple of years in servicing, repairs and mods. The other thing to remember is that you will probably end up buying a daily too (if you haven't already got one), so factor a second set of rego/insurance into it. They are stupidly expensive to maintain to a high level. I had one when I was much younger and to be honest it almost broke me

Not really concerned. I put the bung in and it is very quiet now. I also jammed it in too far and can't get it out.

Well, It passed. After going through the motions I plugged up the exhaust. Didn't even really check it and certainly not with a DB meter. What a waste of time and frustration.

BARGAIN: 1X R32 GTR wing fibreglass black with 1 stud missing but good cond. 3x R32 GTR plastic side skirts with smallish (one pretty large as seen in pic) cracks (repairable) but no where mint. In black. 2 LHS, 1 RHS Paid a bundle for these but.... they need a good clean and I CBF'd. Price: 1 Bottle of Bundy + 4 litres of coke Zero for the lot. As is where is. And, you must pick up in a Skyrine / RWD car and do a skid on way out . Land of the free: QBN. PM me!

Got one. For those that are playing at home, the S1 to S2 rear spoiler LED is different (although they look similar). The sedan S2 is the same as the S2 coupe. Also, these things tend to let go all the time. Took 3 different ones from a local place to find one that worked!

Problem now is the bung is stuck. I can't pull it out due to the stress it will put on the turbo exhaust housing. Vice grips and all reefing the skybus out of it. Oh the humanity!

So I took the car back with the plug in the exhaust. Passed... Didn't even check it. What a waste of time and stress that was.
